I LIKE CANADA’S HEALTHCARE SYSTEM . . . BUT IT COULD BE BETTER:

Our Canadian Doctors Are Entrepreneurs . . . They all Work as Private Contractors, who are Paid by the Government for Work Rendered at Pre-Fixed Generous Rates per Procedure. Some Medical Specialists Make a Great Deal of Money, while Most Canadian Doctors Make a Great Living Without the Burden of Crazy Malpractice Insurances.

It’s True . . . Some People Fall Through The Cracks – But Most Don’t. But isn’t that also True in America for People who Are Not Adequately Insured, which are Many?

I Know, that when I Need Medical Care, as Simple as Care for a Sprained Ankle to Complicated Surgery . . . Canada’s System Is Generally There To Provide That Care, and at the End of the Day . . . No One In Canada – Neither Rich Nor Poor Worries About Cost.

Don’t Believe The Crap About Canadian Healthcare Being Akin To Life In A Gulag.

No One in Canada will Lose their Home or Go Bankrupt because they Cannot Afford Healthcare. At 65-Years Old, I Stopped Worrying About the Cost of Most Prescribed Medications, Because Prescribed Medications are Relatively Free . . . To All Canadians Under The Age Of 25 & Over The Age Of 65.

Even A Great Deal Of Dentistry Is Covered For People Under The Age Of 18 & Older Than 65.

I SPEAK TO AMERICAN FRIENDS & CRINGE AT THE COST OF HEALTHCARE:

I Cannot Believe The Costs & Level Of Stress Caused By The American Program.

In One Way or Another . . . Every Canadian Pays Something into the Canadian Healthcare System, which is a Pittance Compared to what Americans Pay for Healthcare, Making Healthcare In Canada Accessible & Affordable.

For Americans who are Fed the Forever-Going Propaganda that Canadian Doctors, Canadian Hospitals & Canadian Facilities are Substandard . . . Don’t Believe It – Canada Ranks Amongst the Best in Doctors, Hospitals & Facilities.

While it is True that Elective Surgeries Take Time to Have Done . . . It is Equally True that Acute Problems are Generally Seen & Dealt With as they Occur, Within a Timely Fashion.

I Need Cataract Surgery . . . I Put my Name on a List, And In 7-Months’ Time, After Anne & I Return Home to Canada from our Winter in America, Both Eyes will be Done by One of the Nation’s Top Eye Surgeons at a Cost of Under $500 for the Procedure.

If I Did Not Want To Wait 7-Months . . . I Could Have Opted to Go Private, and Have the Surgery Done Within a Week or Two . . . But My Eyesight is Not that Impaired. So Why Should I Spend Several Thousands of Dollars on Each Eye, since I Have Been Paying-Into the Canadian System for my Entire Working Life?

THE CANADIAN SYSTEM CAN BE MADE BETTER . . .

Because we Opened our Borders to an Invasion of Immigrants, there just Are Not Enough Doctors, Nurses & Facilities . . . But That Can Be Fixed. And Even with the Shortage of Doctors in Canada . . . Provincial Healthcare Features Comprehensive Telemedicine Through Zoom.

I HAD MY DOUBTS ABOUT TELEMEDICINE’S EFFICIENCY BUT NOT ANYMORE:

A Couple Of Months Ago . . . I Twisted My Knee – After Being in Pain for Two Months, I Called-Upon Telemedicine for the First Time, Telling their Computer What my Problem Was. The AI System Found The Right Doctor, Gave Me an Approximate Time to Wait to be Contacted by the Doctor on Zoom, and in a Few Hours, I was Sitting on My Sofa Speaking to an Orthopedic Specialist from Somewhere in Canada in a Live Stream Chat.

The Doctor Prescribed X-Rays On Both Knees, Sending Me a Hospital Requisition by Email, Which I Printed-Out . . . Went to My Local Community Hospital (I Could Have Gone To Any Hospital In  Most Of Canada) – Presented the Requisition, Waited About 10-Minutes For The X-Rays To Be Taken . . . And Within a Couple of Days, I was Emailed the Full Comprehensive Report . . . Nothing But A Sprain.

Had It Been More Serious – I Would Have Been Referred to a Specialist for a Hands-On Appointment.

I Saw The Doctor By Zoom Within A Couple Of Hours Of My Original Call. Before the “Visit”, I Had to Register with my Ontario Health Card. And once Registered, I Never Left the Comfort of My Livingroom Except for the X-Rays.

I Wasted No Time, Effort, Parking, Gas Or Medical Cost – What Could Be Better?

HEALTHCARE IN AMERICA IS A MULTI-TRILLION-DOLLAR BUSINESS:

Remember The Above . . . When Hearing the Knocks on Canadian Healthcare, Coming from the Trillion-Dollar American Health Industry, and Specifically from the Politicians who Receive Mega-Billions of Campaign & Special Interest Dollars Coming from the American Healthcare Lobbies.
