The Suicide Of Democracy

PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT TRILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENTS:
WHOSE SIDE IS THE SUPREME COURT ON ANYWAY?

What Happens When A Supreme Court Rules In Favor Of A Party’s Right To Destroy The Country It is Sworn To Protect?

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ISRAEL – IT’S ABOUT ALL DEMOCRACIES:

What Happens When The Court System Works Against The Will Of The People?

The Government of Israel Recently Banned a Consortium of Arab Israeli Parties from Running in the Upcoming Election (October 27, 2026), because the Israeli Arab Parties are Running on a Platform to Basically Destroy the Jewish State of Israel from the Inside-Out.

On The Surface . . . Not Only Does The Ban Make Sense – It Should Be Imperative.

What Doesn’t Make Sense . . . is Israel’s Supreme Court, which Ruled Against the Government of Israel, by Imposing their Judicial Authority to Release the Government Ban.

Not That Many Years Ago (1988) . . . Rabbi Meir Kahane (JDL) Formed an Israeli Party (Koch Party), which Fundamentally Stood Unapologetically for the Jewish State of Israel, To Ban Arabs From Israel’s Government.

I Never Agreed With That Policy, and Neither Did Most Israelis, even Though Kahane was Able to Win Several Seats in the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), which Didn’t Last Long, Until Israel Banned the Koch Party & Rabbi Kahane from Serving in the Israeli Parliament . . . I Didn’t Agree With That Decision Either.

My Simple Question Is As Follows . . .

Why Ban a Jewish Group that Stands Unabashedly for Jewish Rights Versus Arab Rights, But Not Ban an Arab Group that Stands Unabashedly for Arab Rights to Destroy Israel?

IT IS VIRTUE SIGNALING OF THE WORST KIND:

It Is Not Complicated . . .

It Comes Down To One Group In Power, which Wants to Show How Righteous they are, by Condemning the Group that Stands Against the Group which Should be Condemned. Or Should Have No Standing Without Merit.

Imagine The Real Lunacy . . . Of Championing The Group That Wants You Gone.

When Benjamin Franklin was Asked at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 by Elizabeth Willing Powel . . . “What Have We Got, A Republic Or A Monarchy”?

At 81-Years Old . . . Franklin’s Simple Reply . . . “A Republic, If You Can Keep It”.

The Belief Then, Especially Amongst Many, if Not Most of the Signers, was that the New US Constitution was so Radical in its Concept of Government, That It Would Probably Not Survive The Test Of Time.

More Than Two Centuries Later . . . Up Until The Last Decade Or So – Not Only Has the US Constitution Survived the Test of Time . . . It Survived Territorial Growth, the Civil War, Two World Wars, and a Plethora of Other Massive Challenges – Foreign & Domestic . . .

But What About Now – What About The Onslaught Of Leftist Propaganda?

It Seems Trivial . . . But When Asked by Marsha Blackburn on March 23, 2022, at the Senate Confirmation Hearing for Ketanji Brown Jackson to Become a Supreme Court Justice, if she Could Define What a Woman is? . . . Ketanji Brown Jackson Replied – She Could Not, Since She Was Not A Biologist.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT DEFINES WHY AMERICA MIGHT NOT SURVIVE:

Ketanji Brown Jackson was Confirmed to Became a Justice on the Supreme Court of America, Which Is A Lifetime Appointment That Carries Enormous Gravitas.

I Don’t Blame Ketanji Brown Jackson For Being A Flippant Fool . . . I Blame the Majority of Senators who Voted for Jackson’s Lifetime Confirmation, Which Screams . . . That Politics Usurps The Extreme Benefit Of The People.

If Those Senators Who Voted For Jackson Are The Best America Has – God Help America.

Who Am I To Tell Trump What To Say . . . But I Will Anyway.

I Went Shopping With A Friend At Costco Yesterday. Our Cart was Mostly Empty. We Bought Nothing Extraordinary . . . Some Food, and a Few Non-Food Items . . . Yet The Bill Was $175 Dollars.

Do I Give A Rat’s Ass About Trillion-Dollar Foreign Investments, and Billionaires who are Eating Caviar & Drinking Champaigne while Traveling on their Private Jets . . . Because Trump’s Economy Is On Fire & The Stock Market Is In Overdrive . . . When I Look at a Nearly Empty Shopping Cart that Cost $175 . . . Not To Mention The Cost Of Canadian Gasoline At Nearly $7.50 Per Gallon . . . Almost Equivalent to $4.50 Per US Gallon . . . Including the Differences in Exchange Rates & Gallon Size?

And In The State Of New York – Gas Costs More Than it Does in Ontario ($4.79 Per Gallon) Given the Difference in Gallon Size and the Monetary Exchange Rate. We Will Fill-Up With Gas In Ontario . . . Before We Cross the Border for Our Seasonal Getaway in a Few Weeks – To Myrtle Beach For The Winter.

Trump Heralds His Greatness . . . his Ability to Make Deals, the Grandeur of his Tariffs, the Trillions of Dollars in “Promised” Foreign Investments, the Soon to be Built Mega Factories across America . . . While People Like Me Just Spent $175 On A Nearly Empty Costco Shopping Cart While Worrying About Affording The Cost Of Gas To Go From Here To There.

Is There A Clearer Picture – Why The Midterms Are Not Looking So Good For Republicans?

  1. Our US “Republic” has been, very deliberately, morphed into a Democracy, i.e., MOB RULE!!! All Democracies, without exception, have ended in the same manner —– and, it isn’t pretty. Further, our “educational system” has been teaching the greatness of Socialism over Capitalist for many decades. Younger people, those under 40-45 years old, are brainwashed and they cannot see the danger they will soon be facing, e.g., Socialism / Communism!!! I am 89 years old and NOT optimistic!!!

  2. Shalom H. Good column. Lee Norman hit the mark. I am 75 and I am not optimistic as well. Our education system has produced idiots and fools for the last 50 plus years.

  3. You and I are the same age. When I was a teenager, I told my parents and others that the Arabs in Israel needed to be paid better attention to by the Israeli government. I said that someday there would be a built-up resentment. This has come true even though Arabs are well integrated into Israeli society. Politics is a free market. People vote for the party that provides them with the best service. None of the Jewish parties have given the Arab community what it needs.

That Is Not True . . . Israeli Arabs Have the Same Rights and Privileges as do Jewish, Christian, Druse and other Israelis. If you are Referring to “Palestinians” living in Israel who are Not Israeli, Shouldn’t their Well-Being be the Responsibility of the Palestinian Authority which is Paid Billions of Dollars for their Benefit? – HG:

  4. Israel can no longer afford to engage in virtue signaling, especially not after what happened Oct 7, 2023. No Arab party should be allowed in Israel as they could well enough end up being kingmaker given Israel’s parliamentary system which results inevitably in required coalitions, and hence leverage obtained by those who wish us harm. When Jews are once again allowed to inhabit and form political parties in all the countries we were expelled from in the Middle East then we can talk. Deal?

  5. Muslims in any office is suicide. Their values will never align with the West or any democratic country. They have killed 699 million people to get where they are today. That’s what we are dealing with, just look at what’s happening in Europe!

  6. If the DumRats take the House and Senate next month, a Costco cart and a tank of gas will be small potatoes compared to the conflagration that will consume the once great Republic to our south. The remedy is simple: Republicans can prevent the fire in the first place by showing up in large numbers at the polls next month. Easy, eh?

  7. Lately, I’ve been driving my 2012 EV, so I have only bought gas once in the past month & it was last week in MA, just across the State Line where I paid $4.09 a gallon as I refilled my Hybrid other vehicle, since I had just made a trip to NH. As far as food is concerned, I just buy what’s on sale and I never exceed $40 on my once a week trip to one or more super markets for their specials. In fact, in my entire lifetime, and I’m 88, I never once, came anywhere near 1/2 of what you spent!
