So Trump Cancelled NAFTA, which Trump said was the Worst Trade Deal ever Made by America – And In Its Stead – Trump Created the USMCA (Unites States, Mexico, Canada Agreement), Touting his New Trade Agreement as the Best Agreement America ever Made, Until Trump Decided That Canada Was Using His Agreement To Rip-Off America.

I DON’T WANT CANADA TO LEVY COUNTERVAILING TARIFFS ON AMERICA:

All Tariffs Accomplish . . . Is To Drive-Up Prices For The People Levying The Tariffs.

Anyone who Really Believes that Tariffs are Anything Other than a Sneaky Way to Tax the Citizens of the Country Charging the Tariffs, is Either Ignorant, or Simply Not Understanding, that the Country Charging the Tariffs, Passes The Costs Of The Tariffs Onto The Importers Of The Products Entering The Country.

It Is Not The Sellers – Exporters Who Pay Any Of The Tariffs.

WHO DO YOU THINK EVENTUALLY PAYS THE TARIFFS?

As A Canadian . . . I Pay Too Much In Taxes – I Don’t Need To Pay More Because Of Tariffs.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FAILED AGREEMENT THAT NEARLY WAS?

I Am No Fan Of Mark Carney – But Even A Broken Clock Is Right Twice A Day.

I Am Going To Refer Back To The Gordie Howe Bridge, which Connects Windsor Ontario to Detroit Michigan. Both Cities Wanted the Bridge. Both Ontario & Michigan Wanted the Bridge, but Neither Detroit Nor Michigan Had the Funds with which to Build the Multi-Billion-Dollar Expanse. So A Deal Was Made.

Canada Agreed To Pay 100% Of The Total Cost Of The Bridge With Full American Input, American Labor on the American Side of the Bridge . . . Along with American Materials on the American Side of the Bridge wherever Feasible. It Was The Perfect Deal – Everyone Was Happy . . . And Then Came Trump.

CANADA IS RIPPING-OFF AMERICA . . . HERE WE GO AGAIN:

All Of A Sudden . . . In Trump’s Words – Canada was Ripping America Off by Demanding 100% of the Toll Revenue on the Bridge until Canada was Paid-Back Canada’s $6-Billion (Cdn) Cost To Build The Bridge . . . Which All Parties (Canadian & American) Agreed-To Before The First Shovel Was In The Ground.

WHERE IS THE FAIRNESS IN THE FOLLOWING . . . ?

Just Before The Grand-Opening Of The Bridge . . . Trump Threatened Not to Open the Bridge by Withholding US Customs Officers from Manning the Border at the Bridge, Unless Canada & America Split 100% (50/50) Of All Tolls Collected From Day One, Plus Various other issues for the Bridge that were Never Negotiated in the Original Agreement.

The American Bull In The China Shop – Was Trump’s Multi-Billion-Dollar Buddy Howard Lutnick, who Walked-In to the Deal just before the Bridge was to Open, Like A Thug With A Baseball Bat.

Canada’s Liberal Prime Minister (Mark Carney) Is A Not Just Politically Incompetent – Carney is a Liar who Also Happens to be a Man of Very Little Courage or Scruples, Caved Under the Pressure of the Tag Team of Trump & Lutnick, Pretending Afterwards to the Canadian People, How he (Carney) Walked Away with an Equitable Deal on the Gordie Howe Bridge, where in all Reality . . . Carney Lied & Screwed Canada Right Up The Ying-Yang.

Instead Of Folding Like A Cheap Suit . . . Carney Should Have Simply Walked Away Telling Trump & Lutnick to Work-It-Out with Detroit & Michigan. And Until Trump Agrees to Honor the Original Agreement Made . . . Trump Could Keep The Bridge Closed In Perpetuity. But that Takes Leadership.

So Here We Are At The End Of August 2026 . . . Both Sides (Canada & America) are Bragging about a New Trade Deal Both Parties are Pleased-With. And Just Days Away From Signing . . . Here Once Again Comes the American Bull in the China Shop (Howard Lutnick), and all of a Sudden – Out Of Nowhere . . . The Deal Is Off, And We Are Heading To A Potential Trade-War.
