Early Yesterday . . . I Called a Jiffy-Lube Location at Myrtle Beach to Find Out How Much they Would Charge Me for a Complete Oil-Change, since I will be Due for One Once I’m there.
I Was Answered By A Computer-Generated Voice . . . But it Didn’t Sound Generated at all. In Fact, If I Didn’t Know, I would Have been 100% Convinced that I was Speaking to a Human Man.
But Not Only That . . . It Asked Me Questions About the Call, the Reason for the Call and What it Could Do for Me, All In A Conversationalist Tone. And I Asked it Questions Too, such as, What Kind of Oil they Use, How Much the Cost of their Service will be, do I Need an Appointment? How Long the Oil Change will Take – Etc. Without Delay, This “Machine” Gave Me All The Answers.
I Should Be Ashamed To Say I Had A Pleasant & Worthwhile Conversation With A Machine.

I Have Seen Some AI Generated Videos . . . No Humans or Animals Involved, yet, if I Didn’t Know Better, I would Have Sworn that the Videos were Real, with Real People, Real Animals & Real Backdrops.

That Does Not Mean AI Cannot Invade & Impose Itself On What I Generate.
