Like Many Of My Fellow Conservative Canadians, I also Feel that we Have Leaned Too Far Politically to the LEFT, but like a Fulcrum, Sooner Rather than Later, Canada will Swing Back to Conservative Values and a More Conservative Political Philosophy.
Many Within Canada . . . Myself Included, from Time to Time think that our LEFTIST Canadians are Too Often Smug About themselves, Much like the American LEFT thinks theirs Also Doesn’t Stink . . . Which Doesn’t Make Them Bad People . . . Just Objectionable To Me.

As A Matter Of Fact – Americans & Canadians Have Spent More Time Collaborating at Almost Everything, than we Have Working at Negative Outcomes.

If That Was The Worst Canada Did? . . . It was Wrong, Humiliating and in Dire Need of Correction. But That Doesn’t Make Canada A Nasty Country.

Wish Trump had kept his mouth shut a few years ago and that would have resulted in Poilievre as PM which would have resulted in a more symbiotic/ less confrontative cross border relationship between our two countries. Also, I am not so sure I agree with the fact that he is “pummeling” his adversaries. The IRGC in Tehran would beg to differ.
Canada was a great country and I appreciate it letting in my Jewish grandparents about 100 years ago. It was a good deal for my grandparents and for Canada. However times are changing and every time I see one of our governments ignore Jewish public or private rights, I worry about my future in Canada and therefore donate to the only country that I am sure would accept me if Canada no longer wants me. That country of course is Israel.

The people of Canada and USA have always been friends and should stay friends regardless of our leaders. Leaders come and go regardless of party. Trumps mouth is often an embarrassment. Let’s try to get along for a couple of years, then we will all be complaining about something else!
You are correct on all counts, but my guess is that Trumps problem arises from Canada’s Milk Marketing Board. I tend to agree with him on that. We are paying exorbitant prices for Dairy products while Farmers are dumping millions of Liters of milk each week. That is to keep our prices out in orbit. Our Farmers are skewering us!

Leftism has impacted both Canada and the USA, but recent PMs have had an adversarial relationship with Trump, which spills over into overall relations between the two countries. Sadly, I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

The price difference between USA and Canadian DAIRY is not that much if you are able to figure it out with the difference in currencies.And I rather pay a bit more for a product produced in Canada under decent control on hormones, medications and hygiene. I agree with you, Howard. I don’t care for Trump’s braggadocio and belittling as he does it. Maybe, it derives from the ultra-competitiveness of high-end real estate. That does not excuse it. My husband was born in Canada; moved to USA at age 12 and became an American citizen. He still has many relatives living in the Toronto area. We took a cross-country road trip through Canada 2 years ago and loved every minute of it. Met so many nice people and appreciated the natural beauty of the country. We love Canada, but the liberal politicians…. not so much.
Great editorial Howard. I disagree on several points. Canada is being infiltrated by China. Also, I have a relative working undercover at Pearson airport and he tells us the airport is the hub of drug smuggling. In fact Avery Haines did a special on how sophisticated and prolific drug smuggling is. My nephew said it is mind blowing and they work together with American customs but our government tends to look the other way sadly. Carney wants to keep Trump as the boogie man.
