If It Is Indeed True, And I Have No Reason To Suspect That It Isn’t True, the Average Dockworker in America Earns About $100,000 Per Year, with Crane Operators Earning as Much as, and More than $300,000 Per Year . . . are Now on Strike for Substantially More Money & No Automation . . .

As Far As I’m Concerned . . . They Can Take Their Grievance & Pound Sand.

Most Americans with Families Don’t Come Close to Earning what the Dockworkers Have Determined is their Due, Let Alone How Much More They Want.

LET ME MAKE THIS AS CLEAR AS I CAN:

Israel Is Fighting The War NATO Should Have Been Fighting Years Ago.

I Am 74-Years Old, Just Two Years Younger than the Reconstituted State of Israel (1948), and as Far Back as I Can Remember . . . Israel Has Been Embedded Within My Psyche as Though it is Part of My DNA, Which It Might Be.

I Have Always Been Part Of The Christian World . . . But at No Time, Did I Ever Lose my Connection with Judaism, Because . . . as Poor as my Parents were Before they Weren’t, there was Always a Jewish Institution to Help with the Social & Educational Needs of all Jewish Children . . . Whether The Families Could Afford-It Or Not.

At My Very Earliest Recollection . . . I Remember Going to a Christian Elementary School where I Recited the Lord’s Prayer Every Morning, Sang Hymns – And at the Appropriate Season Sang Christmas Carols.

I Went Caroling & Exchanged Christmas Gifts With My Christian Friends.

But At The End Of Every Christian School Day . . . I Went Home, Left my Secular School Books & Went-On to Jewish School, where I Learned the History & Values of Judaism, Until I Reached the Age Where I Attended a Rabbinical College (Yeshiva) and was Fully Immersed in the Art of Prayer.

LET’S FAST FORWARD MANY YEARS . . . I am Quite Traditional, Somewhat Spiritual, Not all that Religious – And Very Jewish from the Tip of my Toes to the End of My Nose.

There was Always a Pishka Jar (Charity Container) in our Kitchen, where we Would Deposit all Loose Change (Coins) in our Pockets or Purse at the End of the Day, in Order to Help Someone Who was in Greater Need than Ourselves. Because We Believed – That No One Was Ever Too Poor To Give.

We Are Commanded Not To Celebrate The Defeat Or Derision Of Others. And that Includes the Defeat of our Enemies. Even Though there Might be Some Jews who Whooped & Celebrated at the Death of Nasrallah . . . They Were Jewish Outliers. Because That Is Not Who We Are – And Not What We Do.

If You Were Ever To Visit Israel Or Synagogues Wherever . . . You Will Not See Statues of Generals, Kings or Prime Ministers Celebrating Jewish Military Victories . . . You Won’t Even See Curses Against Those Who Damaged Jews So Severely Over the Millennia – Not Even Against Hitler & Hitler’s Cohorts.

By Tonight At Sundown . . . Jews will Begin the Celebration of our New Year (5,785-Years) in Synagogues Worldwide, where we will Acknowledge the Gifts of the Torah and the Blessings of God.

Ten Days Later (October 12) . . . We Will Stand Before the Open Arks which House Torahs in Synagogues throughout the Globe. And Before the Open Arks, We will Pray to God for us to Forgive Ourselves for Any and all Transgressions we Have Caused & Might Have Caused to Others During the Past Year.

We Don’t Pray To God For Absolution – Forgiveness Is On Us. We Pray to God for the Wisdom to Understand and to Admit to Ourselves the Errors of our Ways, that Have Been Harmful to Others, so in the Coming Year, we Will Not Repeat our Flaws, but Work at Becoming Better Human Beings Towards all Living Creatures.

For The Day Of Yom Kippur, Many Jews Worldwide will Fast, and in Repentance, Many of us Will Spend the Day at the Synagogue & Refuse all Usual Comforts. At Day’s End, the Shofar (Ram’s Horn) will Sound in all Synagogues with a Staccato Message . . . Signaling The End Of The Day Of Atonement, After-Which, We will Go Home or to the Home of Others . . . To Break The Fast, Celebrate Our New Beginning . . . And Look Forward To The New Year.

In Spite Of What The World Thinks They Know About Jews – In A Nutshell – This Is Who We Are.
