I too watched JD’s speech & agree that the reception was not friendly. But I figure they already knew what was coming to a degree. Smugness is the elitists’ way. I did get the impression JD was a little uncomfortable, almost as though his speech was just written & he hadn’t had much time to go over it…strange for him.

I was appalled that the Montreal hockey fans booed the US National Anthem. What a stupid message to send to the Americans watching the game. I totally agree with (above poster) Barbara Payne. I was at the hockey game last night (Bell Centre) and hearing the “boos” during the U.S. National Anthem made me sick to my stomach. I could hardly enjoy the game. My gut feeling told me TEAM USA would win but I’m OK with that. As a Canadian, I naturally rooted for TEAM CANADA and jumped out of my seat when McDavid scored the first (and only) goal. But the “boos” took away from an otherwise great hockey game.
It is time to move to a more positive attitude and how can we join into making North America a more stable society and get our beliefs inline with normality, males are male and females are female and we should enjoy the difference

I know it hurts imports but at least will help to overcome the Trump tariffs.
