As usual, the Security Council's reluctance to do what was right, was based solely upon political considerations. But; had Kofi Annan INSISTED, the right decisions would have been taken, and a great many lives would have been saved.

Chrétien, telling the Americans, that they could go it alone in Iraq, without Canada's support, has far more consequences than the war in Iraq.

Why else would people who blow up other people in places like Russia, Bali, Indonesia and the Philippines be called TERRORISTS, yet; when Jews are blown up by Islamists, the murderers are referred to as MILITANTS?

Money made from advertising revenue is based upon audience. Audience comes from programming. The best programming to reach the maximum audience is programming that titillates. And that's CNN.

I guess, what bothers many Canadians about the USA, is that next to them, we are a pretty insignificant country which does extremely well only because of our friendship and proximity to America.

As far as I am concerned; let's just close the door on this national embarrassment and walk away. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for Canada to be rubbing shoulders with these mostly horrible people.

What is there to address when the threat to world peace is caused by vicious hatred of secular nations like the US, racism (anti-Semitism), or sadistic political leaders that would receive Stalin's approval if he were still alive.

Fast forward 8 years, and guess what? North Korea admits to having the BOMB. And guess what again? Europe is flabbergasted.

The enemy we face today subscribes to a religious and cultural mind-set, so alien to what the people who live in secular democracies can imagine, that it is nigh impossible to understand just how evil this enemy is.

His views and observations are perfect in reflecting a reality the "moderates" all too easily choose to ignore.
