The Bastille Will Be Stormed On Monday, November 18, 2002, At High Noon.

The people coming to "Storm This Bastille" are the true guardians of democracy within Canada. These are people who are demonstrating their passion to end Canada's duplicity and affront to INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.

On November 4, 2002, I wrote an editorial which appeared on Galganov Dot Com, and subsequently on various other Web Sites, which called for the “Storming Of The Bastille” (please see the Archives).

The editorial was an unabashed condemnation to the jailing of 13 Alberta farmers for wanting to be free to sell their wheat and grain on the open market.

Partly as a result of this editorial, it appears that the Bastille will be stormed.

I am told that arrangements are currently being made across Canada, to bring people to Ottawa, who are so fed up with Ottawa’s arrogance and national double standards, that they will pay the costs, and invest their valuable time to come to Parliament Hill on Monday, November 18, 2002, at High Noon to be seen and heard.

The people coming to “Storm This Bastille” are the true guardians of democracy within Canada. These are people who are demonstrating their passion to end Canada’s duplicity and affront to INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.

What happened, and is continuing to happen to Western farmers is only symptomatic of a much greater Canadian government malaise. It is time that ALL Canadians enjoy the EXACT SAME level of rights and freedoms, as all other Canadians, wherever they live in this vast and eclectic country.

I don’t know where you will be on November 18th at High Noon. But I know where Anne and I will be; with as many friends as we can convince to come along with us.

If we are just a few caring people out of a dozen. I will be proud to be standing with the dozen. If we are to be a few caring people out of thousands. I will be proud to be standing with the thousands.

No matter how many people come to “Storm The Bastille”, Anne and I will be there. And if you value your individual freedom, as is (should be) guaranteed in Canada’s Charter of Rights; you will be there too.

In addition to this editorial, and forthcoming reminders on Galganov Dot Com, I will also make all arrangements I can, to get this message aired on radio stations across Canada, and in as many newspapers as possible.

I am sure that Anne and I will not be standing alone. And eventually, the Canadian Bastille which denies all of us our EQUAL Individual Rights will fall!

  1. Howard, along with everyone else I definitely agree with you. I want Sterling to fight against this punishment. I am so sick of Obama always coming to the aid of blacks and never a peep from him when the tables are turned. Before I voted in 2008 I researched and researched to find information on Obama–it wasn’t easy–everything locked down. Rev. Wright did the trick for me. Don’t understand why more Americans didn’t pay attention to his rants.
