The March 25, Los Angeles Times headline reads: "The color barrier is broken as two African Americans win top acting honors". What color barrier? I thought these awards were for best actors within the industry.

Because of Emile Zola's untiring battle for rights and truth, France found itself on trial for racism and anti-Semitism; more so, than the judicial appeal of the Dreyfus case.

Canada is not a world-beater. But nonetheless, we have a pretty good country, mostly because of Ottawa's social programs.

Imagine how the world, and the international news media would have been all over the Israelis if a Palestinian was publicly murdered at the hands of Israeli troops.

Chrétien has saddled Canada with yet another real winner. Even Paul (I love Meech Lake) Martin is starting to look real good. How pathetic is that?

So, now that this "paragon" of international virtue has declared that Israel is "illegally" occupying Palestine. What is there left for Israel to do?

As a Jew living within Canada, I have been quite sheltered from anti-Semitism. But; I can not ignore what I see, read and hear from the rest of the world.

What seems obvious to me, is that the rest of the Arab world in the Middle East offers a great deal of lip-service to the Palestinians. But; little else.

If what the two Palestinians did, was to carry out a terror attack against Israeli Jews, why not call them terrorists?

"Canada was not attacked by anyone from Afghanistan. Nor was Canada threatened by anyone from Afghanistan. So why do we have more than 1,000 combat troops trying to kill people in Afghanistan"?
