I ALWAYS LOVED MY LEBANESE FRIENDS FROM CHILDHOOD:
I Grew-Up As A Teenager In A Mostly Jewish – Yet Somewhat Mixed Community, Where Many of the Non-Jewish Families were of Lebanese Descent.
We Were So Close In Our Community, that Jews & Lebanese Friends Hung-out Together, Dated Together, Right up to Tying the Knot Together.
The Advertising Client that More than all Others who Helped Me Open my Own Ad Agency because of the Business He Gave to Me was Lebanese. The Venue from where I First Broadcast my City-Wide Live Radio Show was from the Syrian/Lebanese Club in Montreal, Owned & Operated By A Lebanese Family.
The Vice President of the Radio Station for Which I Broadcasted was (Is) Lebanese. We are Still Good Friends. And One of My Favorite Television Show-Hosts, who is Now a District Judge (Jeanine Pirro) is Lebanese.
I Could Go-On, But I Guess You Got The Point . . . I’m All-In For The Lebanese People.
If Israel & Lebanon Can Tie The Knot . . . Not Only Would that be a Great Thing for the People of Both Countries, it would Send a Clear Message to the Region and to the Entire World, That After 78-Years Of Technical War Since 1948, with Several Hot Wars Fought Between Lebanon & Israel . . . Peace & Prosperity Are Indeed Attainable.

I WILL TRY TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT . . .
I Cannot Imagine That Trump Is Not Fully Aware Of Iran’s Duplicity. Nor Can I Believe that Trump is Not Entirely Cognizant of the Middle Eastern Persian/Arab Cultures. My Worry – is that Trump is Too Determined to Make a Deal, even if it is a Bad Deal, Which Is Any Deal That Leaves The Iranian Regime Intact, as Long as Trump Can Claim it a Victory.
In Spite Of All The Public Bravado . . . The Republican Party Has to be Panicked at their Midterm Election Chances, as Hakeem Jeffries seems to be Measuring the Drapes in the Speaker’s Office.
I HOPE THE REPUBLICANS DON’T PANIC AND MAKE A VERY BAD DECISION:

Looking at events today with the blockade, I do not think Pres. Trump will make a bad deal like Pres. Obama and Pres. Biden did. Remember he is a businessman not a politician. He likes results rather than positive optics.
Howard, as usual you have a succinct way of summing up world affairs. It is sad that there always seems to be those who wish to be in charge of “things” but don’t care how some of the plans can really be detrimental to the welfare of many. I have had the “pleasure, and responsibility” of serving on a municiple council years ago. That was exciting and scary for me. I was brought up learning that when one takes on a responsiblity like that you became a servant to those people, not a ruler.
Re your editorial yesterday-I think that Trump has known from the beginning that there would be no successful negotiations with the Iranian regime. I think he’s following Sun Tzu’s strategy— when in war, a leader must show willingness to broker peace knowing regime change is the only ending in this case for Iran. I support Trump completely. I pray that Israel and Lebanon form a strong and peaceful alliance.
