But When You Can’t Outfit your Children for School, Put Food on the Table, Keep a Roof over your Head & Pay for Energy (Car, Heat & Air Conditioning), while You’re Holding-Down a Job or Two . . . The Last Thing You’re Going To Care About Is How Well The Stock Market Is Doing.

When Trump Says He Can’t Afford to Buy Bacon Anymore, that’s Not True for a Wealthy Man Like Donald Trump . . . But It Is True For Me & Trump Is Making The Point.

I Love Smoked Salmon (Lox) On A Bagel For Breakfast. But the Costco Prices for Frozen Lox in Packages of Ten Packets & Bagels from my Favorite Montreal Bagel Producer Have Become Unaffordable . . . So Bacon is More or Less Off The Table & So Are Bagels & Lox.

LIKE MOST PEOPLE – ANNE & I . . . ARE LIVING ON THE PRECIPICE:

Anne & I Are Not Poor, but Like Everyone Else, if We Don’t Budget the Simple Things, We Could Easily Find Ourselves in Serious Financial Trouble Through No Fault of Our Own.

We’re Taking The RV & Heading Just Across The Border Into The United States For A Few Days. It’s No Big Deal. At Least it Used to be No Big Deal. The RV Park We Will be Heading-To is Less than an Hour and a Half Away from us in Northern NY State. It’s Really Nice, Located Beside A Trout-Filled Babbling Brook.

The Owners (Family Business) Try their Best to Keep the Prices as Reasonable as they Can, And They Accept Canadian Money At Par. But Even at that, Anne & I Thought Long & Hard About if We Really Wanted to Spend the Few Hundred Dollars this Little Getaway was Going to Cost us. And We Aren’t The Only Ones.

Where We Are Going Is Not A Big RV Park. I Assume they Might Have a Grand Total of 50-Spots. And Even Though We are Going During the Height of the Season, There Are No Shortage Of Vacancies At The Park.

TRUMP IS RIGHT . . . THE DEMOCRATS ARE FULL OF CRAP!

I Couldn’t Give A Fig Over How Well The Stock Exchange Is Doing, When I Have to Suspend Buying Bacon, Lox, Bagels and Think Twice About Taking or Not Taking a Short Getaway Because it is Going to Cost a Few Hundred Dollars.

In A Few Months (November 1, 2024), Anne, the Falconater & I will be at Myrtle Beach for the Winter. But Before We Go, we Must Pay for the Total RV Park Cost Up Front. We Have to Make Certain that our Tires on the Pick-Up and on the RV are in Good Condition. We Have to Pay to Have the RV Wheels Checked for Brake Life and to Make Certain the Bearings are Greased or Changed.

Also – We’ve Already Reserved the RV Parks We will be Staying-At During our Drive to Myrtle Beach. And They’re Not Cheap.

Anne & I Have Been Doing This Routine Of Traveling Throughout Most Of North America For The Past Ten Years, which Has Become Routine . . . But Not Anymore. Today, We Have to Measure Everything we Need to Do Because of the Horrible Cost of Basic Living, Including Gasoline, where in Canada, We’re Paying As Much As $7.00 A Gallon For Regular.

In Many Respects . . . the Winter-Stay in Myrtle Beach Doesn’t Really Cost us Anymore than if We Stayed-At-Home, Considering the Cost of Energy (Gas & Electricity) are so Much Cheaper in South Carolina than it is in Ontario.

The Cost of Food in Myrtle Beach, which isn’t Cheap, is Still Much Cheaper than the Cost of the Same Food in Ontario, and the Selection is Far Greater.

Also . . . We’re Mostly With Conservative Minded Kindred Spirits At Myrtle Beach.

It’s Nothing Like It Used To Be, As Few As Just 4-Years Ago, When we Woke Up Looking Forward to a Day Of Plenty . . . and Didn’t Go to Sleep that Night Wondering What we Couldn’t Afford the Next Day.

I’m Not Crying About Our Lot In Life, Because Thank God, Anne & I Feel Blessed.

We Have Wonderful Shelter & Facilities, a Refrigerator & Pantry Full of Good Food, Horses that we Don’t Ride, but Still Support . . . The Falconator who Brings Great Joy & Pleasure to our Daily Lives, And We Have Our Relatively Good Health . . . Even Though We Are In Our Mid-Seventies.

I Can Still Write, Speak & Advocate . . . And In Spite Of The Mounting Costs Of Living, I (We) Still Have A Lot To Be Thankful For.
