Know From What You Speak Before You Speak

WHAT DOES AMERICA OWE CANADA? . . . ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I DO NOT QUESTION THE GOOD INTENTIONS OF THOSE WHO COMMENT:

The Last Thing I Want Is To Get Into A Pissing Contest With People Who Comment On Galganov.Com.

The Other Thing I Don’t Want . . . is for People who Comment on Galganov.com to Make Angry & Unfounded Statements that Bear No Relationship to Reality, even if they Think they’re Defending Trump’s America or the Entertainers of FOX News.

No One On Galganov.com Is Attacking Trump, America Or Fox News . . . So Don’t Spread That Vitriol. And Even if you Contribute to Galganov.com, that Doesn’t Give Anyone a License to Defame, Lie or Besmirch What I Write & What Other People Comment.

Take This As My Only Warning – Defame This Blog & Find Another . . . Commenting Is A Privilege.

I Know That The Vast Majority Of People Who Read Galganov.Com Are Proud Americans . . . who Care Greatly for their Country, as I do for My Country (Canada). But That Doesn’t Stop Me From Being Critical Of Canada When Canada Deserves-It.

Nor Should It Stop Me From Being Critical Of The United States Of America . . . When America Deserves-It. Because, if I just Wrote What I Thought Everyone Wants to Believe, Whether it is True or Not – What Would The Purpose-Be Of My Writing-It? And What Would The Purpose-Be Of You Reading-It?

I Don’t Write For Entertainment. And I Don’t Write to Get Rich & I Don’t Write For Approbation . . . I Write For Only One Reason . . . Truth, Trust & Integrity.

Yesterday (March 26, 2025) . . . Shelley Del Bosco of Lancaster South Carolina Wrote in the Comment Section of Galganov.com . . . Maybe Time To Talk About The Millions The USA Spends To Defend Canada.

I Don’t Blame Shelley Del Bosco For Believing This Untruth, Because that is What President Trump Has Been Saying in Addition to Other things About Canada Ripping-Off America in Trade. And If Trump Said-So – Then It Must Be True.

So I Won’t Argue With The Word Of Trump . . . I’ll Let You Be The Judge . . .

TROOPS STATIONED WORLDWIDE:

In Germany As I’m Writing This . . . There Are Approximately 35,000 American Troops. In Japan – There are Approximately 53,000 American Troops. In South Korea – There Are Approximately 24,000 American Troops. In Turkey – There Are Approximately 1,700 America Troops. In Italy – There Are Approximately 1,200 American Troops.

The Total Amount Of American Troops on the Ground to Defend these Countries Represents Approximately 115,000 Men & Women In American Uniforms,

Now Add-In all the American Troops Spread-Out through Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Central & South America . . . And You’re Talking About 120,000 Armed & Ready American Troops Prepared To Go To War In Countries That Are Not America.

How Many American Troops Are Stationed In Canada? . . . 132.

NORAD

I am Also Inundated with Talk from Jingoistic Americans that Canada Needs the American Airforce to Defend Itself from an Air Attack Coming Over the Arctic.

That’s Not True.

Canada Has Its Own Fighter Squadrons With Excellent Fighter Pilots, which is Now Planning to Purchase 88 F35 Fighters . . . or Similar Fighters Made by Sweden (Saab JAS 39 Gripen), If Trump’s Tariffs Make Purchasing The F35’s Unmanageable.

Canada is Celebrating 66-Years of Equal Military Protection with the United States Over all of Northern North-American Skies.
US/CANADIAN FIGHTER JETS SCRAMBLE TOGETHER

When American NORAD Jets Are Scrambled . . . So Are Canada’s.

THE AUTO TARIFFS ARE ON . . .

Canada Is Now Going To Be Hit With A 25% Tariff On All Cars Sold From Canada Into The United States Of America. In all of Canada, there are Just 5-Auto Manufacturers . . . Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota & Honda. All Five of these Manufacturers are Located in the Province of Ontario, with Most of their Sales Being Domestic.

Want To Know Who They Are  & Some Of Their History?

The Auto Parts Industry is so Interconnected Between Canada, Mexico & America, I Can’t Even Fathom How that will Impact this North American Trade Folly.

And Even Though This Industry Is Very Important To The Economy Of Ontario . . . In the Bigger Picture, the Canadian Auto Industry is Not a Make-Or-Break Industry for Canada . . . Canadians will Probably Focus More on Domestic Purchases, which will Mean that Ontario will Struggle, But Will In The Long Run Survive.

WHAT DOES AMERICA OWE CANADA? . . . ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

America Owes America . . . America Owes Canada Nothing.

Trump Made It As Clear As Glass – He is all About Making America Great, For Which I Applaud Him. But I Never thought Making America Great – Would Be An Assault On Canada . . . But It Is What It Is.

Trump Says Canada Should Be America’s 51st State . . . And If we Cry in Our Milk like Little Babies Because Trump Wants to Treat us Like a Sovereign Nation, He Would be Right – So Be It. Canada Needed This Wake-Up Call.

EITHER CANADA IS AN INDEPENDENT SOVEREIGN NATION OR IT IS NOT:

I’d Rather Keep The Relationship With America We Have Always Had. But That’s Not Up To Us.

On April 28, 2025 . . . In Just 32 Days – We Canadians Will Be Going to the Polls to Cast our Ballots for the New Government of Canada. And Hopefully, we will Elect a Majority Conservative Government Under the Leadership of Pierre Poilievre . . . To Do For Canada What Trump Is Doing For America.

America Is The Greatest Nation, But That Doesn’t Preclude Canada From Attaining Equal Greatness.

Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov

  1. Exactly–Don’t get upset about international spats between nations–Go to the Polls and vote yourselves an equally Great Canadian Government! MCGA–Make Canada Great Again too!

  2. Just spent 15 grand in Florida. Will do the same next year just to get away from the 4 x 4 for a while. These two nations have the same people and our politicians need to get along.

For the Past 10-Years, we (Anne & I) Have Spent a Comparable Amount of Money in the United States Over Each Winter. We Also Intend on Doing the Same. But Many Canadians Will Not for Various Reasons. Some Because they’re Pissed-Off at Trump. And Some (Many) Because America Has Become Unaffordable. None of this is Good for Either Country – HG:

  3. Being proud Canadians AND proud Americans we hear a lot from both sides !!We are dual citizens. The hot air of politics is not the way to go!! Hopefully this temporary rift will piddle out and both countries can get back to the way they were .And hopefully Pierre Poilievre can help Canada become more great again !!! 4. Donald Trump is the president of the USA and is doing everything he can to save us from going over the edge WE ARE AT. All of us will pay a short-term price for that recovery. He also knows the good relationship we have with Canada. Canada is also in trouble and it has to save itself. He has motivated Canada to do that. My parents once used TOUGH love with me. I hated them for quite a while but it was the right thing to do to make me responsible and get off my ass.

  5. I believe that what Trump is doing regarding Canada is the same as he has been doing in the U.S. — shocking the population into awareness of the creep of globalism. The U.S. had an interruption by Trump (45) with a resurgence by the globalists through Biden that left the country devastated. Canada under Trudeau slipped into globalism unaware and needs Poilievre to bring it back into “sanity.” Canadians need to vote in Poilievre to do for Canada what Trump is doing for the U.S.A.

  6. I’m sorry , but I disagree with Mr Trump being our saviour. His actions speak louder than his words and his actions prove no love for Canada. I hope America also learns a lesson , because they aren’t “all knowing “ and you can’t piss on your best customers. American foreign policy should focus on non usmca nations first , and if Mr. Trump no longer likes “ the greatest deal “ he signed, then lets sit down in an amicable manner , and renegotiate. Too much to ask ??

  7. When I was in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1962, Cdn pop was 19 m, we had over 500, less than 20 yr old front line capable fighters 104’s 101’s F-86 T-33. We had air force fighter plane bases in both France and Germany to help fend off Soviet aggression. Today, Cdn pop is 40 m, no bases in Europe, not 500 but some 70 – 40 yr old CF-18 planes, not all air worthy. Hardly the deterrent of 1962. Whose air force is really defending whom in the world today? Me thinks Trump’s right!

  8. I wish President Trump was not as bombastic in his talk as he is, but he is. I’m curious why he talks about Canada the way he does, I have no idea – maybe it’s political theater or misdirection. If Canada is an political ally, then I don’t understand what’s going on or why. We could speculate – but that just creates trouble where it didn’t previously exist because we simply don’t know what’s going on or what information he’s looking at. Thank you, Howard, for what you do – never stop ple

  9. It was good to see your article show up! Phew! Trump is Trump. I believe he is a political party unto himself—neither Repub nor Dem nor Indep; I think he goes his own way, does what makes sense to him, does what he thinks is correct for the country & its people. Trying to figure out his next step is time you choose to spend. I don’t think he ever intended Canada as a 51st State. It makes no worldly sense. Stop jumping thru anxietal hoops!

  10. Keep a steady focus on Canada’s future. Vote for conservatives because the socialist globalists have made a real mess of things. Trudeau will be truly, finally gone. Pierre Poilievre and his people need to be given the chance to right the wrongs foisted on Canadians by Trudeau. Canada and the US do need each other.

  11. Good Blog!! I believe Trump is ‘trying’ to open eyes to what is actually taking place in Canada. He knows Trudeau is DONE, Mark Carney is WORSE than Trudeau & Pierre Poilievere is the BEST choice for Canada. Trump does STIR THE DUST UP. He does know that Canada & Mexico & the US are definitely co-mingled because of the Auto Industry. Will he adjust TARIFFS? I would not be surprised.

  12. the liberal party has always played east against west because of their quebec base. Now hopefully the quebecers will rid themselves of the albatross that has hung around their necks and vote conservative or block

  13. I think Trump is right on a lot of things but suggesting that Canada be the 51st state is just nonsense. Sometimes he runs at the mouth too much.

  14. It is my hope and prayer that Pierre Poilievre will be elected by a significant majority of voters on April 28. I also hope that he will bring with him a conservative majority to the Canadian government so he and his conservative friends can begin the rescue of our great neighbor to the north. Mr. Galganov, you have my unabashed support, so please keep writing your editorials. I, and many others, find them very interesting and informative. Sincere best wishes to you, Anne, and the pups.

  15. In the meantime, Mark Carney is the Prime Minister of Canada. After Carney had a telephone conversation with President Trump, Carney told Canadians that the U.S. is no longer a reliable trading partner…AND….that Canada’s old relationship with the United States is over.” / And here I was rootin’ and tootin’ for Donald Trump to become the President of the United States. I feel like a damn fool !!!

  16. If it’s about trade imbalance then stop buying CDN oil (about $15 under world rates) and the imbalance will be gone. Problem solved. But the US is hungry for our resources, including fresh water which was always off the table. Air protection? Any defence of the US means air fights over the populated CDN cities near the US border – Trump expects us to protect the US at our risk? Poilievere wants to upgrade our military, unlike the Liberals. We had the #1 world best prepared military 50 yrs ago.
