Canada Doesn’t Need To Be The 51st State To Be Great Again

Trudeau Just Prorogued Parliament, which is a Fancy Way of Saying that Parliament is Fully Suspended for a Period of Time. In this Case, Parliament Will For All Practical Purposes Be Closed Until March 24, 2025.

In Effect, Because Parliament Is Prorogued . . . The Business of Running Canada will be Conducted Solely by Canada’s Bureaucrats. And Whatever was Going-On in Parliament at the Time When Parliament was Prorogued . . . Is Frozen In Time.

There Will Be No New Bills – Or Legislation Issued, and No Discussions or Debates on Existing Bills as Long as Parliament is Prorogued . . . and Whomever is the Prime Minister, in this Case it’s Still Trudeau, he Might as well Go on Another of his Long & Expensive Vacations Paid by the Canadian Taxpayer.

TRUDEAU IS AS LAME DUCK A LEADER . . . AS LAME DUCK GETS:

Unlike The United States Of America – There Are No Executive Orders.

When Parliament Resumes After March 24, 2025, the First Order of Business will be to Pass a Money Bill to Continue Funding Canada, which will Give the Opposition, of Which the Conservatives, NDP (Communists) & Bloc Quebecois (Quebec Separatists) Have all Promised to Overthrow the Liberal Government through a Non-Confidence Vote.

ONCE A NON-CONFIDENCE IS PASSED – IT DOES TWO THINGS:

1 – The Government Ceases To Exist.

2 – An Election Must Be Called, which Has to be Held No Sooner than 37-Days After the Writ (Call To Have An Election) is Released by the Independent Chief Election Officer . . . and No Later than 51-Days Afterwards, which Gives all Contenders (Parties) Time to Organize, Register, Raise Money & Campaign.

In Any Event . . . Once The Writ Is Dropped – Everyone In The Process Is Equal.

In May Of 2007, The Canadian Election Act was Changed to Force Federal Canadian Elections to be Held – On The Third Monday Of October . . . 4-Years Since The Previous Election, which Means in this Case, whether our Election is Held in April or May of this Year Because of a Non-Confidence Vote or Not . . . A Federal Election Must Be Held One Way Or The Other On Or Before October 20, 2025, Which Is 4-Years From The Last Election.

Unlike American Elections . . . Neither Unions Nor Businesses can Donate Money to any Party or Candidate. And Individuals who Donate Money to Parties or Candidates, are Restricted to Specific Amounts (Under A Few Thousand Dollars Total).

During A Campaign – Individuals & Special Interest Groups Cannot Gang their Money Together During a Federal Election as Special Interests to Run Ads (Etc) to Influence Voters.

What I Like Much More In Canada Than In The United States Of America – Are Our Voting Policies.

NO VOTES CAN BE COUNTED ONCE THE POLLS CLOSE:

All Voting Canadians Must Prove Canadian Citizenship, be Over the Age of Consent (18), be Registered to Vote with a Voter Card, Have Photo ID (Driver’s License) at the Ballot Place, Must Vote in Person, Must Vote by Hand, No Mail-In Voting Except for Special Cases (Military, Civil Servants Working Abroad – Etc), No Ballot Harvesting . . . And The Votes Must Be Counted With The Results Being Made Public Immediately After The Polls Close.

Also – Unlike The American System . . . There Is No Transition Time In Our Canadian Parliament.

The Moment The Votes Are Counted, and the Winner is Declared, the Party with the Majority of Ridings (Seats – Equivalent To American Districts) Immediately Becomes the Government, with the Leader of the Majority Party Declared Prime Minister of Canada, Who Will Be Free To Choose His Or Her Ministers (Cabinet) Without House Or Senate Approval.

Canada Has 343-Ridings – A Straight Majority Is 172-Seats. If a Party Wins Less than a Straight Majority . . . but Has Enough Ridings to Convince the Governor General that the Party Can Form a Minority Government – The Governor General Will Approve That Party To Form The Government.

That Said . . . If Enough Members of the Opposition Should Vote Non-Confidence at Any Time Against the Existing Government, with Enough Votes to Defeat the Government . . . The Governor General Will Immediately Dissolve Parliament & Call For A New Election – Which Will Be The Case (Soon) In Canada.

THE MOMENT TRUDEAU ANNOUNCED HIS PENDING RETIREMENT:

Anne & I Re-Registered As Members Of The Conservative Party. And when we Get Back to Canada in Early April, I will Volunteer to Do Whatever I Can to Help the Conservatives Get Elected as the Majority Party in Canada.
