Anne & I Went Costco Shopping Yesterday, and after Spending a Bit More than $400 Mostly On Essentials, And Our Shopping Cart Was Still Not Full, we Didn’t Buy Everything we Would Have Wanted-To Buy, Not Necessarily because we Couldn’t Afford-To, Which Is Partly The Case, but More-So . . . Because we Couldn’t Bring Ourselves to Spend the Outrageous Prices Displayed on Some Less than Staple Items.
We Spent About $40 For Two Not So Big Boxes Of Dog Cookies For Falcon . . . To Us, That’s Essential. To Most Pet Owners, that Too is Essential, but How Many People Can Afford to Spend that Kind of Money on a Pet. Anne & I Can, as Long as we Find Other Products for Ourselves that we Can do Without.
We Also Had To Fill-Up With Gas Yesterday . . . But Because We Weren’t Planning on Going to the United States (Just Across The Border) for a Week or so, where the Cost of Gas is Less than it is in Canada . . . I Only Put-In $100, Which Gave Me A Little Less Than A Half Tank In A Ford 250 With A 7.3 Litre Engine.
Three & A Half Years Ago . . . A Full Tank Of Gas Cost Us A Bit More $100 In The USA.
Anne, The Falconater & I Will Be Heading South For The Winter, Leaving Canada On October 29, 2024. We Have Already Made all of Our Arrangements & Paid for Where we will be Spending the Nights on Our Journey to Myrtle Beach.
Because We Are Leaving At The End Of October, All the RV Parks where we would Usually Stay are Closed for the Season, which in the Past Didn’t Bother-Us that Much, since we Used to Bed-Down for the Night at a Welcome Center or Even a Truck-Stop for the First Night . . . But Not Now.
Maybe We Would still Use Welcome Centers or Truck Stops for Overnight Stays if we Were Not Traveling Alone . . . But Not So Much Today.
We Don’t Want Long Daily Drives To Get To Myrtle Beach . . . We’re Too Old for that . . . So we are Going to Take Three Nights & Four Days to Get to Our Destination, which Means Three Nights at SAFE RV Parks, that will Cost us About $100 (CDN) Per Night.
The Reason Why Anne & I Will Spend $300 Dollars For No Other Purpose than to Sleep, is Because the Roads are Not Necessarily Safe from Thugs, Including At Welcome Centers & Truck Stops, which was Never a Concern Before.
You Cannot As A Sovereign Country Have Open Borders . . . Howard, as you know, Julie & I are staunch Donald Trump supporters. We both liked him from Day 1 when he first got into politics in 2016. Trump always told it like it is and he continues to do that. Julie & I watched last night’s Debate. In our (not so humble) opinion, Kamala Harris won. She came across very poised, self-assured, and handled herself well. Donald Trump looked old and tired. This debate does not mean Trump will lose the election; but I know what we saw on CNN last night. Sorry!
I started to listen to the Debate, regrettably just over 30 minutes, I could not tolerate what I kept seeing and hearing… Those moderators were as partial as can be! From the very first question put to Harris, “Are You Better Off Now Than You Were 4 Years Ago” From the moment she opened her mouth, I heard her voice with NO Sustenance! It bothers me that SOME folks just could NOT see/hear what was taking place. When ABC was going to SINK Trump, no matter what, surely people with a brain to REASON, should have seen/heard the blatant. I am voting TRUMP. I was deeply disappointed in Trump’s performance last night. He let himself get suckered into too many trolls like the size of his rallies. He goes for hyperbolic anecdotes like Springfield, Ohio when he should have stuck with his opening comment about Aurora, CO. Marshall McLuhan said the medium is the message and Trump failed in that respect. To me, he came off as an angry old man with his facial expressions and voice. She looked calm and under control.

What can I say? I was like Frank Canzone (above). I could listen only 30 mins last night. Trump was not Trump. He seemed stymied, rattled. I could tell from Kamala’s opening statement, it was memorized, rushed, lest she not find another place for it. It seems probable to me that at one time the U.S. government considered all Jamaicans to be Black because most had Black blood somewhere, no matter how they looked. Kamala thus says she is Black although she is not – she is Jamaican. Too bad that she doesn’t know the difference.

I watched about half the debate, & was also convinced Harris was given the questions ahead. Trump did look tired & didn’t do very well. On different note, I read about the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua in Aurora, CO & then the same gang in Texas. Now all those young (military age) males coming over makes sense. Venezuela emptied their jails sending prisoners north to US & likely financed gangs to head north as well. Biden/Harris/Dems will never acknowledge or take responsibility. Sickoes all.
