I Had To Pay My Own Way . . . which Meant that I Needed an Actual Benefit for Cost & Time, which Superseded Smoking Dope, Getting Drunk & Playing Cards in the Student Lounge while Wasting Valuable Time (None Of Which I Did) . . . To Getting A Real Start On-Life.
I Also Saw The Uselessness Of My Friends Who Stuck-It Out For 4-Years . . . who Never Went-On to Post Graduate-Studies, who Otherwise were Able to use their Diplomas as Personal Toilet Paper. And That Was More That 50-Years Ago.
Even Then – I Recognized that there were Problems in Academia that Would Later Plague our Societies. But to What Extent was Literally Impossible to Know. But We Know Now.

Republicans need to wake up and vote every election not just presidential elections. Republican turn out in Virginia and other states was low. No excuse. Vote every election. We voted at 76 years old and our children and grandchildren voted. It is a civic duty to vote.

I had to pay my own way through college; like you, I wanted to quit (57+ yrs ago) because of politically left professors who worked hard to get students to see only their views as truth. The vitriol at a politically rally against Goldwater was a last straw. I was a registered democrat then who NEEDED a college diploma in order to teach in public high school. I taught students the tools and skills needed to think for themselves. I am a proud Republican for Trump again!
