A VERY STRANGE APOLOGY

WHAT KIND OF PERSON APOLOGIZES FOR NOT ASKING FOR MONEY?

I’m That Kind Of Person . . . Because On The 15th Of Every Month, I Ask For Financial Support For Galganov.Com, But Not This Month (Yesterday).

WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT – EVERYTHING IS ABOUT POLITICS:

I Wake-Up & Go To Sleep Thinking Politics. I Scour National & International Media Every-Day, Trying to Figure-Out What’s Happening Globally, which Can & Will Affect us at Home in North America (USA/Canada).

I Worry About the Veracity of the Media which has it in its Power to Move People & Whole Nations in Directions that Could Make or Break Entire Societies. And even though I Have Numerous Interests which Occupy my Thoughts & Time . . .

Nothing Is As Important To Me, Outside Of Anne, Tavor My Family & Friends . . .  Than Politics, The Media & Where We’re Headed As A People.

YESTERDAY WAS ONE OF THOSE DAYS:

Even Though I Spend A Minimum 6-8 Hours A Day, Virtually Every Day from Sunday Through Saturday – Reading, Researching & Writing . . . Every Now & Then I Need Personal Time with Family & Friends, which Becomes More Important than Anything Else at that Time.  Yesterday (July 15, 2023) Was One Of Those Days.

So I Awkwardly Apologize For Not Asking For Financial Support Yesterday, As I’m Doing Now.

POLITICS IS EVERYTHING . . . BUT NOT THE ONLY THING:

Anne & I Are Not Flush . . . We’re Not Poor Either, But like Most People in North America, Especially at Our Tender Ages being in Our Early Seventies, We are Vulnerable to Inflation & Unforeseen Circumstances that Could Cause us Great Financial Injury, So We Have To Be Careful & Judicious In How We Spend Money.

I Love To Cook. & I Love To Entertain, Especially On Our Outside Covered Deck Which I And A Great Personal Friend Built Almost 9-Years Ago . . . On the Property we Lease, Where we Keep our Horses, RV’s, Cars, Motorcycle & Other Play-Things.

“The Deck” Has Become A Virtual Oasis For Anne, Tavor & Close Friends, Which is Open and Screened on all Sides, Covered by a Metal Roof, Part of Which is a Dining/Sitting Area with the Other Smaller Part Being a Nearly Full-Fledged Kitchen.

To Anne, Myself & Friends . . . “The Deck” Has Become Our Shangri-La.

A Few Days Ago . . . The Summer Area where we Live was Threatened with Severe Storms, which Included Thunder, Lightning & Imminent Tornadoes – And Since there was Practically Nowhere to Run & Hide, Even Though the Emergency Sirens on our Phones were Blaring Non-Stop, Anne, Tavor & Our Close Friend Frank Fixed Ourselves some Coffees (Not Tavor) . . . And Sat Under The Deck To Watch The Hell, Fury & Damnation That Mother Earth Was Sending Our Way.

We Love The Deck!

I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST RESTAURANTS & DINING-OUT:

Yesterday, We Hosted 7-People For A Scrumptious Lunch On The Deck. I Cooked-Up a Magnificent Leg of Lamb (Even If I Say Magnificent Myself). Anne Cooked-Up Chicken & Frank’s Wife Christine Made her Classic Tossed-Salad. I also Made Several Anti-Pasta Plates with Various Italian Meats, Hard Cheeses, Mediterranean Jumbo Olives & Kosher Pickles.

And For Beverages, we Served Yuengling Beer (Delicious), which I Buy & Bring Back from the USA (America’s Oldest Beer), Red Wine, Soft-Drinks & 4-Times Filtered Water.

And To Finish It All Off . . . We Served Two Flavors Of Store-Bought Pies – Blueberry & Apple.

The Entire Feast . . . (All Made From Scratch – Except The Pies) Including the Beer & Wine – Cost Us About $50, which Also Gave us Ample Left-Overs for an Additional 8-Meals.

Do The Math . . . $50 Divided By 15-Servings (Meals) Works Out To Less Than $4 Per Serving.

All The Food Less The Pies Were Prepared & Cooked Fresh. There was no Travel Cost (Gasoline). There were No Seating Issues which we All Experience at Restaurants. No Waiters. No Wondering About the Cleanliness of the Kitchen. And No Question Concerning the Quality & Freshness of the Food. There Was Also No Tax & No Tip.

EVEN MACDONALD’S IS BECOMING UNAFFORDABLE:

You Can’t Go To Most Greasy Spoons & Spend Much Less Than That Just For Two People.

If Our Governments Would Manage Our Economies as well as Average Middle to Lower-Income Families Manage our Finances . . . The United States Of America & Canada Wouldn’t Be In So Much Trouble.
