On Monday . . . The People Of Quebec Went To The Polls.
The Expectation Amongst Many, was that the Separatist Parti Quebecois was Going to Win a Majority Government, while the Quebec Liberal Party Would also Do Pretty Well.
. . . That The Ruling Government CAQ (Coalition Avenir Quebec) Party, which was a Pseudo Conservative/Separatist Party Would Fair Poorly, the Quebec Solidaire Party (Communist/Separatists) Would Remain Somewhat Invisible with a Few Seats, And Maybe Even The Conservative Party Might Win A Few Seats.
The Separatist Parti Quebecois Won A Minority Government, With 5-Seats Short Of A Majority. The CAQ Party was Blown out of the Water Losing Everything, Winning Not Even One Seat.
The Quebec Liberal Party, which is a Center Left Federalist Party did Better than Expected, while the Big Surprise of the Election, At Least For Me, was the Federalist Conservative Party of Quebec, which for the First Time In About 100-Years, Actually Won Seats In Quebec . . . Nineteen Of Them, which Makes the Conservatives . . . A Party To Watch Closely In A Minority & Future Government.

Brazil is on the Cusp of Going Conservative. Argentina Made that Determination just a Couple of Years Ago. Germany is Moving from Open Borders and a Hard Dalliance with Socialism to the Far Right. France is in the Throes of Going Hard Right, While Doing Serious Battle with the Hard Left & Islamism . . . While England Is About To Learn Their Hard & Well-Deserved Lesson.
Eastern Europe Seems To Have Figured It All Out – At Least For The Time-Being.

Carney tried to appease Quebec by not agreeing to the Trade Deal on the promise to protect Quebec Culture. Carney failed, Quebec elected the PQ so Carney failed and now we are back in the 70’s plus que ca change, ca ne change pas! Not worried. Quebec can’t afford to separate as First Nations People have more Land rights than Quebecers. Trump has been right in all aspects all along and now Canada will pay the price. Who says we are not already the 51st State? Better than being the 28th Stat
Will it be a massive scale war, a pandemic worse than COVID-19, rogue AI, or a world wide natural disaster; that brings sanity back to the western world? To Bernard: i am a conservative living in Quebec. We are nowhere near the situation when the PQ was in power during the 70’s. There has not been an elected conservative in the Quebec assembly for almost 100 years. Now there are 19 that can keep the Pq in check because they don’t have a majority. BTW the PQ are anti immigration , anti Alto , while also being against other Liberal policies like higher taxes. Carney’s honeymoon is over and Pierre now has a strong ally in Quebec to work with

The PQ have a minority govt. They need 5 more seats for a majority. Who will cross the floor to join them? Although the Liberals will be opposition the wild card is Quebec Solidaire. I’m afraid they might strike a deal with the PQ giving them their majority. And then, to be polite, the S will really HTF. Carney screwed himself and Canada bigtime and it’s going to be very hard to get even the same deal with Trump that he walked away from to appease Quebec.
The biggest result of Oct 7 was the exposing of all the closet anti-Semites – Those who blame Jews for the massacre they suffered and those who still create (genocide/apartheid) lies about Israel to justify their hatred. Those bastards can say what they want, but Israel knows what France, England (and Canada) do not. Nations better figure it out fast or they will sink like the Titanic. Because the divide of sane thinkers vs radical extremists will only get wider and more violent.
