I Receive Emails & Comments From Time To Time . . . Questioning How Much Donald Trump Does Not Really Know About the Middle East Mindset, But Especially The Mindset Of The Iranian Regime.

I Disagree . . . I am all But Positive that Donald Trump is Better Versed in the Mindset of the People & Governments of the Arab & Persian Populations, Including their Governance in the Middle East, than Most People will Ever Know.

And for Whatever Reason Trump Might Not be Certain of Middle Eastern Issues . . . Trump is Surrounded with Middle East Experts who Deliver Every Aspect of Middle East Knowledge Down to the Minutia.

WHY TRUMP PLAYED FOOTSIE WITH THE IRANIANS – I DON’T KNOW:

I Know that there was a Large Number of People who were Against Trump’s MOU Policy of “Peace-Making”, which Included Many Top US Generals, Diplomats, Politicians, Gulf Arab States & Israel . . . America’s Best Friend In World. Yet he Did it Anyway . . . For Which I am Not Going to Second Guess, Even Though I Still Disagree With His Decision..

Trump Gave The Iranian Regime Enough Carrots To Stuff A Horse:

No-One . . . Not the EU, Not NATO, Not Canada, Not the Democrats & Not Reluctant Protectionist Republicans, Can Say that Trump Didn’t Give the Iranian Regime Every Opportunity to Climb-Down from their Suicidal Direction . . . Towards Middle East & Global Islamic Hegemony.

THE CARROTS DIDN’T WORK – NOW IT’S TIME FOR THE STICK:

There Is Nothing Wrong With The Strategy Of Talking To The IRGC, or Whomever is in Charge of the Iranian Regime, as Long as all the Conversation is Surrounded by Simultaneous Serious Military Punishments.

There is Also Nothing Wrong with Trump Once Again Blockading the Strait of Hormuz (He Should Never Have Stopped) . . . And there is Certainly Nothing Wrong with Trump Providing US Military Protection to all Shipments Traveling Through the Strait for a Fee of Sorts Paid to America.

TOLLS SHOULD NEVER BE CHARGED TO CROSS ANY INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY:

Why Should America be the Only Force on the Hook for the Costs of Deployment, and the Potential Loss of Blood & Treasure – To Provide Trade & Energy Security for Much of the World, When NATO & The EU Refuses To Get Off Its Ass?

Having the Gulf States Pay Some Form of Compensation to the United States for America’s Cost to Keep their Waterway Open for the Benefit of their Commerce is Only Fair . . . But Not By Tolls Or Tariffs.

As A Matter Of Fact . . . Any Country that Benefits from Keeping the Strait Open Should Also Contribute in One Way or Another to America’s Costs for Doing-So.

HOW DO I KNOW CONGRESSMAN RO KHANNA WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT?

It’s Easy . . . Ro Khanna Just Took A Trip To Israel . . . Feigned A Controversy With The Jewish State, Over a Non-Issue of his Own Making . . . Made Certain he had at Least CNN Along for the Ride to Film & Report the Contrived Debacle, Came Back to America & Launched his Victim Status at the Hands of Settler-Jews and the IDF . . . SOMETHING GOOD IS HAPPENING AT THE GROCERY STORES:

I Assume You Are  As Sick & Tired Of Reading & Hearing Bad News, As I Am In Writing It . . . So How About Some Unexpected Better News?

Over The Past Week Or So, Anne & I Noticed a Definite Downward Shift in the Cost of Quite a Few Grocery Items. There Have Been Quite a Few Specials & Discounts, Where There Were None For The Longest Time.

Anne & I Stopped Shopping at the Big-Name Brand Stores in Favor of Giving our Support to the Smaller Discount Chains, where the Prices were Generally Much More Competitive.

Over The Past Year, Anne & I Also Noticed a Relatively Large Increase in Retail Traffic for the Smaller Stores Over the Same Decrease in Retail Traffic with the Name Brand Chains.

Also . . . The Recent Policy of Walmart to Make their Products Far More Competitive, I am all But Certain Sent a Shockwave throughout the Entire Food Industry. Even Costco Seems To Have Gotten The Message.

So I Have Two Observations . . .

1 – We Have Been Ripped-Off . . . In-Spite of the Chains Claims of Woe-Be-Us Low Profit Margins.

2 – The Savings are Not yet Substantial . . . But Are at Least Heading in the Right Direction for Now.

Tomorrow’s Another Day . . . More Challenges – More Failures – More Successes.
