Let My People Go . . .

WE ARE A LOT CLOSER THAN WE ARE NOT:
AT SUNDOWN TONIGHT . . . JEWS WORLDWIDE WILL CELEBRATE FREEDOM:

Passover Tells The Story Of The Circa 3300-Year-Old Jewish Exodus From Egyptian Bondage.

Like All Jewish Holidays . . . We (Jews) Do Not Celebrate Battles, the Enemies Jews Killed, or the Territory Jews Won or Held . . . We Celebrate the Fact that we (Jews) Survived, while Retaining Our Humanity & Observance to the Rules of the Torah, The Biblical Groundwork Which Is The Foundation For All People Who Live To Be Free.

We Do Not Build Monuments . . . Nor Do We Hold our Military Leaders in Reverence, or Set Days Aside Each Year to Celebrate the Defeat of our Enemies . . . We Remember So As Not To Forget.

WE REMEMBER . . . TO GIVE THANKS FOR ALL THAT WE HAVE:

Anne, The Falconator, The Mac-Attack & I Are On The Road Today, Traveling Back To Canada.

But Even On The Road, Anne and I Have Made Arrangements for us to Celebrate Passover Once we Get to our First Stop on Our Journey North, where we will Make our Prayers (Give Thanks) for the Matzos (Unleavened Bread) we will Eat, the Kosher Wine we will Drink and the Traditional Jewish Foods we will Feast-Upon to Celebrate our Freedoms and all that we Have (Large Or Small).

To Keep The History Alive . . . We Will Listen To The Retelling Of Passover On The Internet.

We Will Light Candles to Remind us that Light Dwarfs Darkness . . . And We Will Remember Who We Are . . . And From Where We’ve Come.

We Will Pray For All Mankind In These Troubling Times, as Jews & Christians Battle the Evil of the Mullahs of Iran. We Will Also Include in our Prayers, the Innocent People of Iran Who Long to be Free, Just As We Jews Prayed For Freedom Circa 3,300 Years Ago.

During The Exodus . . . Moses Came Down from the Mountain (Mount Sinai) Holding the Words of God on the Tablets of the Ten Commandments, which Became the Blueprint that Guides the Values & Decency all Mankind Must Strive to Attain to Live a Better Life.

WE ARE A LOT CLOSER THAN WE ARE NOT:

This Year – Passover Is Sandwiched Between Easter Palm Sunday & Good Friday, Celebrating the Life, Death & Resurrection of Jesus Christ . . . Who was Born a Jew, Lived His Life as a Jew, Died a Jew . . . And In The Interim, Celebrated Passover As A Jew.

THE CHALLENGES OF TRAVEL:

Because Anne, the Two Boys & I Will be Travelling Over the Next Few Days, it will be Difficult for Me to Write Regular Editorials . . . But I Will Try, Even If They Will Be Somewhat Abbreviated Like This One.

To Close This Editorial, I Simply Wish All The People Who Read Galganov.Com & Live A Moral Life . . . What I Wish For Anne, Our Families, Friends & Neighbors . . .

A Happy Passover – A Wonderful Reflective Easter, And For This Future Year, To Be Full Of Happiness.

Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov

  1. May our Heavenly Father bless you and protect you and yours throughout your travel back to Canada. Will be thinking of you this evening during your Passover celebration.

  2. You two and the boys have a safe travel back home. God Bless.

  3. Wishing you & your family a happy, healthy and peaceful Passover. And a safe trip back home.

  4. Safe travels to you and all your family. We wish for you all a very blessed Pesach. We have been blessed to share pre Passover celebrations with wonderful people—some of whom we wished a blessed Easter. We ALL look forward to the same things you write about in this piece: peace, freedom, and a world in which we all live in harmony with each other.

  5. GOD go with you and yours–safe journey and happy passover celebrations!

  6. Let us all pray that the missile barrage that the IRGC plans for tonight is mostly intercepted. Maybe there is a dog friendly Chabad where you can attend a seder on your route. They are an incredible organization and gave me the courage to put on tefillin in front of pro Palestinian protesters a few months ago in downtown Montreal (and give them the middle finger with the tefillin on). Best defense is a good offense.

  7. It’s too bad that Jews don’t celebrate their heroes and their battles won, like all other nations. They should celebrate their wins, not just survival. The latter is not enough to celebrate. They are losses, not wins.

  8. Thanks, HG for Your Inspirational message. Hope you are Healing well, have a Safe trip home. All the best to you, Anne, and the boys.

  9. Best wishes for a happy, peacefull Passover and a comfortable drive home.
