To add to your excellent editorial: Former NBA star, Enes Kanter Freedom has a $500,000 bounty placed on his head by the Turkish government for information leading to his capture. The bounty is a direct response to Kanter Freedom’s vocal activism and criticism of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkey’s human rights record.
This information about the 180 degree change with new leadership in Turkey now supposed to referrered to as (Turkiye). I am wondering just where President Trump’s going. There have been some strange actions attributed to him such as claims that he was attempting to reverse a red card suspension on U.S. striker Folarin Balogun during the FIFA games.Why would he think he should be involved in the FIFA gamesother than a spectator? Very timely article. Trump is no fool with these people. He knows but has to play politics. Yes, it would be a huge mistake to give Erdogen the F-35. He is a danger to his own people, a danger to Greece, Cyprus, and other islands, and supports terrorist. Keep him at a distance. No friend!

Pres. Trump is Israel’s best friend. Moving the embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing Israel sovereignty over the Golan Heights, getting other Sunni countries to make big moves toward peace with the Abraham Accords, supporting the war in Gaza, supporting Israel in Lebanon, indicates the president’s support of Israel. Pres. Trump is trying to engineer a peace in the Mideast. That means getting all sides together. If Turkey can be used as a tool to get Iran changed then so be it.
