What’s My Fair Share?

WHEN THE GOVERNMENT THUGS GET YOU DOWN – YOU FIGHT, BEND OR BREAK:
THE DO-NOTHINGS WANT TO PUNISH THOSE WHO DO:

It is Unbelievable . . . that our Governments Want to Kill the Golden Geese Who Lay the Golden Eggs that Feed us . . . While Pretending They Know What They’re Doing.

While We Scramble To Get-By . . . The Bureaucrats Plan Their Next Cruise.

MORE THAN ONCE – ANNE & I WERE TOLD HOW LUCKY WE WERE TO BE RICH:

Nothing Could Be Further From The Truth.

Anne, Tavor & I Live A Pretty Good Life But We’re Anything But Rich. We Chose About 9-Years Ago to Live Life Like we were Never Able to in all the Years of our Marriage. when we were Restrained by Business, Family Obligations – Etc . . . From Doing Exciting & Interesting Travel-Things Together.

SOMETIMES THE BEST LAID-PLANS AREN’T PLANNED AT ALL:

About 9-Years Ago I Had A Minor Stroke, Mostly Caused by Supreme Stress, which was the Result of Too Many Court Challenges Defending the Rights of Other People, Plus a 35-Year-Old Advertising Business that was Becoming Less Profitable because of the Internet, and Farm Responsibilities, which Included Tending to the Horses, Keeping our Forest Trails Groomed and the Growing, Cutting & Harvesting of Hay.

It All Become Overwhelming.

It Came To The Point, Almost all of a Sudden, When we Couldn’t Get Help to Work the Hay During Harvest (Kids Don’t Want To Do Heavy Work), Groom the Trails & Mow the Acres of Grass on our Property . . . That Anne & I Found Ourselves so Overwhelmed . . . That Life Was No Longer Fun – Not Even A Little Bit.

At That Time . . . After Almost 40-Years Of Marriage, When Anne & I were Too Committed to Work, Family & Property, that we Could NEVER Get Away Together for a Serious Winter Vacation, or any Real Vacation of any Kind . . . We Decided It Was Time For A Real Change In Lifestyle.

We Put Our Beautiful Property . . . Which We Built From Scratch Up For Sale . . . Decided to Board-Out the Horses & Downsize to a Much Smaller Home Footprint, on an Acre of Land that we Would Build Upon. But To No Avail.

WHEN THE GOVERNMENT THUGS GET YOU DOWN – YOU FIGHT, BEND OR BREAK:

By the Time We Finished Doing Battle with the Township’s New Housing Permits Manager, who Wanted us to Build our New Home to his Standards to Show us how Important he Was, I Didn’t Know Who Or What I Despised More – The Permits Manager or the Fact that Life was Becoming Too Much to Handle.

So This Is What Anne & I Decided To Do.

We Moved our Horses to a Great Boarding Stable Owned by Very Close Friends of Ours. We Sold the Farm & Bought a 36-Foot RV . . . And Headed Southwest To Texas For The Winter In November 2014.

WE WERE FOOTLOOSE & FANCY-FREE:

It Was The First Time In Our Married Lives That We Had Nothing To Do, Except to Chill & Figure-Out our Future. We Assumed, that by the Time we Came Back to Ontario, we would Build that Little House in a Different Township & Carry-On with our Normal Lives . . . But We So Much Enjoyed Our Freedom From Obligations . . . And Loved Seeing Fly-Over Country through America, as We had Never Seen America Before, That We Weren’t In Any Real Hurry To Change Things Around.

So Instead Of Building The Little House . . . We Opted Instead to Continue Traveling, which Brought us to the Length & Breadth of North America, From The West Coast To The East Coast . . . And From The Great Lakes To The Gulf Of Mexico.

We Totally Immersed Ourselves In The Fly-Over Culture Of America & Canada.

For The Spring/SummerFrom Early April. . . We Built an RV Pad Near our Horses on About Two Acres of Land with all the Trimmings. In The Winter . . . From November 1st – We Head South Towards the Sunshine & New Adventures.

On April 1st – We Start our Trek Back Home with Great Memories & Stories. Eventually, Anne, I and Whatever Dog we will Have at that Time, Probably Tavor, will Rent an Apartment and Start a New Chapter in our Lives. But Until Then . . . As Long as our Health & Finances Permit . . . This Is The Life We Worked For & Earned.

It Wasn’t Until I Was About 65-Years Old When We Started Living Just For Ourselves.

WE SACRIFICED ENORMOUSLY . . . TO GET TO WHERE WE’RE AT:

Now That Life Is Pretty Good For Us . . . The Government & Their Ignorant Acolytes Want to Destroy What We Worked – For A Lifetime To Create.

We’re Born With Nothing – We Die With Nothing . . . It’s What Happens In Between That Counts.

What Can I Say To All The People Who Look At Our Current Semi-Vagabond-Ways With Envy . . . Who Don’t Know What it Took in Sacrifice of More than 40-Years, to Get to the Point where After Employing Hundreds of People Directly & Indirectly, Spending Almost all of our Savings Fighting for Righteous Causes . . .  From Defending Battered Women, Standing Tall for Animal Rights, Helping in Substantial Ways to Feed the Hungry, and to Go Tooth & Nail Against Government Usurpers of Freedom of Expression?

But To Those People Who Look Upon Anne & Myself With Envy . . . They Don’t Know, and they Don’t Care About our Countless Sleepless Nights, the Borrowing of Money to Meet Payroll because Our Customers Couldn’t Pay. They Weren’t in on the Conversations Between Anne & Myself about Stretching the Little We Had, so We Wouldn’t Have to Lay-Off Staff. Or the Trips to the Supermarket, Where Anne & I Bought Hamburger Helper & Kraft Dinner . . . Because we Couldn’t Afford Better.

THERE IS NO SHANGRI-LA . . . THERE NEVER WAS A SHANGRI-LA:

They Have No Idea What It Took For Millions Of People Like Anne & Myself . . . In Terms of Real Sacrifice . . . For the Do-Nothing LEFT to Have What they Have, that they’re Willing to Throw it all Away on the Altar of Communism, which is Nothing But A Self-Proven Debacle . . .  Over A Millennial Dream – Based On Fairy Tales, Stupidity & Lies.

And these Same People who Didn’t Struggle to Create the Greatest Countries Ever, Like Anne, Myself & Millions More – Who are Struggling Like Most People Because of the Inept Governance to Keep our Heads Above Water . . . They Want Us To Pay Our Fair Share.

WHAT’S OUR FAIR SHARE? . . . WHAT’S THEIR FAIR SHARE?

Anne & I Aren’t Where We’re At Because Of Them . . . And We’re Not Going Quietly Into the Dear Night Because of them Either.

THE NEXT EDITORIAL . . . IS ALL ABOUT WHY TRUMP – NOW, MORE THAN EVER:

I’ve Fought My Ass-Off For The Rights Of Others . . . It’s Time Now To Fight For Me & Mine As Well.

Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov

  1. To support a government that makes war on its own people by strangling them with confiscatory taxes and stifling regulations, the so-called “fair share” ought to be zero.

  2. True. In a free market, everyone downstream is paid when you buy at the offered price. They, is they are unable to profit when they sell, would not be in business. The books balance. Only Obama, who produced nothing but misery, doesn’t get what he deserves.

  3. I’m a strong believer in the premise that our elected officials should come ONLY from those who have produced something other than just a bumper sticker.

  4. My hubby served as a police office for 35 years so between his pension and SS we live a comfortable retired life. When anyone remarks to me regarding our lifestyle I immediately tell them if you work your a— off and risk your life, you can too. Fortunately, we made a few really good real estate decisions too.

  5. Could not have said it better! Amen! I, as well as so many others appreciate your efforts! Thank you…. Dawn Knorr

  6. You have truly lived a blessed life by blessing others. You deserve the life you are now living. One thing I would like to suggest to you. Your people the Jews were chosen to be the ones to give God’s word to the world. I wish you would read Revelations and see if there is a possibility that all that is written there is begining to happen and maybe is telling how it is going to be in the near future. I would love to know what your thoughts are on this subject. Bless you and Anne and enjoy

  7. Half the people pay zero taxes and scream that the other half should pay their fair share! Words like fair, equity, gender, etc. have no meaning anymore from years of misuse by the left.

  8. Recently, our gov’t proposed a FLAT TAX, everyone pays the same percentage. When they quit allowing all the Write Offs so that Rich Folks can hide their money, I would agree to this. Anyone, making more than say, 50 K per year should pay a flat fee, no write offs. I have played by the IRS rules, owned business, wrote off what is allowed, and paid very little in TAX, why not. If everyone paid the same percentage of their GROSS Income, the IDIOTS would have more to give away and spend.

  9. Amen. Keep up the good work. Many of us think as you but we are not as articulate.
