If Canada Should Join The United States Of America, it seems that the Resounding Answer by Voting-Age Youths was Yes, Which Doesn’t Shock Me By One Iota.
Circa 50-Years Ago, Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, the Father of Justin Trudeau, Decided That Canada Was To Become A Multicultural Nation, Embracing all the Cultures that Created Canada’s Mosaic . . . To Be Fresh, Inviting & Exhilarating, Forgetting that the Foundation of a Successful Nation . . . Is Its Bedrock Commitment To Common History, Language & The Readiness Of Assimilation.
My Grandparents, Who Were Religious Jews, Came to Canada from Russia in the First Decade of the 19-Hundreds. They Had Only what they Could Carry as they Reached Canada’s Shore. They Couldn’t Speak English. And in the Province of Quebec where they Settled, the Languages were English & French, which they Couldn’t Speak Either.
None Of My Four Grandparents Had Any Appreciable Skills, whose Strong Attributes were their Beliefs in Religious Values, Family & Hard Work. And their Only Expectation from Canada, was to Have the Opportunity to Work Hard, Make A Living, And Become Part Of The Country That Welcomed Them.
No One Asked My Grandparents To Become Less Jewish, Not to Speak Yiddish, Russian, or to Forget the Culture from Where they Came . . . All That was Asked From my Four Grandparents & Expected . . . Was For Them To Raise Their Children To Become Canadians.
CANADA WAS FOUNDED BY TWO EUROPEAN POWERS – FRANCE & ENGLAND:
No-One In My Family Had Any Historical Or Familial Connection To Either France Or Britain, But we Learned About the British & French Explorers of Canada, the Native Tribes, the Coureurs Des Bois (Forest Runners) who Carved the Forest Trails & Braved the Roaring River Rapids to Open the Many Venues that Linked Canada Eventually from Coast to Coast.
Even Though I Am A Second Generation Canadian . . . Canada’s History, from the First French Explorers (Cartier & Champlain) to the British Governors, Became my History & My Identity . . . In As Few Words As Possible . . . Canada’s History Became Me.

Literally 100% of Canada’s Trade Surplus is with the United States of America.
Canada’s Cultural Industries . . . Music, Television, Social Media, Movies, Sports, Shopping and even Fast Foods . . . are Either Shared or Owned Entirely by the United States of America.
Canada’s Most Significant Print News Media (Post Media) is American Owned. And if it Wasn’t for Mammoth American Corporations, who Else would be So-Invested in Canadian Industries?
And Anyone Using the Argument that Canada is Rich in Natural Resources – Mining, Agriculture, Energy & Hydro Electricity, which Means we are Fully Self-Sustainable . . . Mark Carney, the Liberals so called Saviour, is also a Cultural Marxist. He advocates more government control and less individual freedom. I hope Canadians learn who he really is! Howard, the prime objective is to control people. It doesn’t matter to those that want to do so would someday also be controlled by an even more tyrannical “government” if that’s what you’d call it. Thank God there is more of us than there is of them. BTW, thank you for your editorials; though I’m not Canadian, I enjoy an “outside-in” view of my country (USA).
No doubt, we are living in exciting times for both Canada & the USA. The political variables are almost infinite. But, keep an eye on what China & the UN has done, and is doing, to America —– all very quietly in the background —— all the way from buying up our farm land to buying our educational system(s). Please do NOT take my word for this. Do your own research.
I wish we could vote when we soon have the federal election if Canadians want to become a state or not. A poll says me nothing. Let us take it from there. Fair and square.

Okay, so perhaps “economically” Canada is the 51st State…but please do not sell Canadians short. I’m Canadian, and so proud of when during “9/11” CANADA opened all its Airports and made sure Americans could land safely and be taken care of like Family. Afterwards, here in Canada, we received thousands upon thousands of letters from AMERICANS who were heading here…and basically they ALL said the same thing: “We were so glad and felt very safe going to CANADA.”
Amen to Bruce Sutton; Canada should remain Canada. The goal should be free trade and free entry both ways and agreements to jointly benefit other countries by mutually trading of our riches of fuel, minerals, technical leadership and manufacturing expertise. We could benefit the world, each other, and be a beacon of freedom to all!
Canadians should stop and think, instead of automatically taking offense and start waving the maple leaf around, as soon as someone broaches an idea that is outside of the tiny box that they live in. China with their long term strategy, has been steadily building its Belt and Road infrastructure around the globe and in the process acquiring permanent access to strategic locations, meanwhile the Western world has been idly sitting on its collective hands looking inward instead of to the future.
Once again, GOD is working out HIS plan–I would love to have America join with Canada as one people, but that may not happen. Watch and wait and be patient–it’s going to work out!
Trump has done nothing but good for Canada. He has put a firecracker in our rear end to wake up Canadians to get our act together. The laundering of money from China through fentanyl manufacturing to protecting our borders, to strengthening our military. Our Liberal government would never had done so if it wasn’t for Trump.

I agree that Canada is losing its way as the U.S. is also thanks to the left and its one world goals. I remember learning that Canada and the U.S. were great friends with the world’s longest unguarded border. WW II saw Canada as a strong major ally participating in the battle of the Atlantic and the northern flank drive on Nazi Germany. Since the 60’s socialism and cultural identity(s) are wrecking this for both nations. We both need to reunite as the proud partners that we were before.
If the people of Canada our long time brothers and sisters wanted to join us we would be blessed. On the other hand to watch a proud nation struggle as we have in the USA and almost lost our nation. I love our 2 Nations staying best friends and wonderful neighbours. The only “war” between Canada and the United States should be fought on the ice in a hockey game. In fact, a group of us are going to the Bell Centre (Montreal) tomorrow night to watch Canada vs the USA in the “4 Nations Face-Off” Hockey Tournament. If Canada wins —> No Tariffs and No 51st State. (hahaha) ps: Security has forbidden any booing of either National Anthems. Thank God.

I listened to “The Five” yesterday on Fox News. Everyone should try to watch this program occasionally. I agree with Greg Gutfeld when he said something big changed leading up to the election of Trump. I think the liberals have over played their hand to their own demise. Lets see what the next couple years bring. Hold on to your britches it will be a ride. I am thankful I have Galganov and Gutfeld to help me keep my focus and sanity.
I would be just as stupid as my neighbors if I wasn’t addicted to Fox News. Note this: If the USA adopts Alberta and Saskatchewan as its 51st state, it’s a win-win for everyone. If any other provinces are included, the authoritarian/interventionist lunacy that defines them will be to the detriment of all.
Here’s a different subject both our nations should be aware of. China has been buying private schools & the funds can be tied to higher echelon of the CCP. And in the US, this goes back at least to 2017. Since China’s (Xi) aim is to overtake the US as the powerhouse internationally, it seems Xi’s been quietly undermining us all the while we were sending our jobs/investments to China, benefiting them with influx of $$$$. Seems we invested in our own demise, blindly.
I think I know “where all this is going.” We are going all the way this time to MAGA. And our wonderful neighbors to the north will come along with us for the ride of a lifetime. Canada will be great again when it votes out their present regime. And nobody will be happier over this than USA, patriotic, legal citizens. We will enjoy MNAGA—making North America great again.
