Howard – I have a different take on the Fox liberals. I see them as showcasing the vapid intellect of the left. I laugh every time one of them opens their mouth. The donors to the congressmen and Senators are running the USA. Paul Ryan needs to get funds for his next election run in 2018. The best we can hope for is that his district votes him out of office and the same for other congressmen and Senators. Trump today made threats to shut it (The USA government) down in September. I think that he has the guts to do it. I hope he does. He has 4 years before reeelection, the congressman only have 2 years to show their mettle.

Hopefully now that the frenzy of the first 100 days is past, Trump will have time to ‘see’ the depth of the swamp and how it also consists of those who have lied to his face to get on his good side while stabbing him in the back. I frequently wonder if in this modern age, Senators and Congressmen should almost never go to D.C. They could telecommute and nearly always be close to constituents and far from the swamp and lobbyists. This would decentralize power and make them more aware of the people. Also it would make the job of lobbyists very difficult, which to me is fantastic. Follow the money.
I want individual thought/belief and not collective consensus based on outside influence. We vote based on that idea.
The bottom line is Trump is great and right but he has to deal with a House and Senate that all got elected by companies and people the owe elegance to and that is a mountain to climb. Canada’s Government is much the same as in the United States! Just look at the 13 candidates for the Leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada…they are all saying what they will do. Not what the Members of the Party select and vote for in a Policy Convention as the Party Platform. Right on Howard shut it down now. It’s probably the best way to start draining the swamp. Trump can start by eliminating all the nonessential government employees and silly programs. It’s amazing how well the government runs without them. Sometimes the best way to put out a fire is to light a fire.
Right on target. Trump probes and tests the water. I really think that is what he has been doing. As in business, once you determine that it can’t work the way it is supposed to you begin to change what is not working. The house, the senate and many of the critical components in Washington are just plain “not working”. President Trump now knows that. Change will come and it will be painful, but I honestly believe that this President can and will eventually get this mess cleaned up.
