THE BIG LOSERS at the Iowa Freedom Summit . . . January 24, 2015 – were the Leader Wannabes who weren’t there . . . and the ones who should NOT have been there.
But to me . . . The BIGGEST LOSER was Mitt Romney. And that bothers me far MORE than just somewhat, because I REALLY like Romney.
But before I write about Romney, I’ll start with the JERK of the Summit who shouldn’t have been there at all, let alone take to the podium. But, in a FREE Society, he had every RIGHT to be there, and every RIGHT to look and sound like the overstuffed BUFFOON that he is.
As serious as the TIMES are . . . the United States of America and the Republican Party does NOT need COMIC relief.
Donald Trump has NEVER been a REAL contender, but . . . like his friend Al Sharpton, he always seems to find a way to insert himself before the cameras. He REALLY should NOT have been invited to speak.
I am extremely DISAPPOINTED in Mitt Romney, who I WOULD HAVE ENDORSED on this BLOG, because I think he is a genuinely NICE guy, who is a decent family man, a person who actually loves America, and someone who has certainly proven to be up to the task of repairing a fractured economy.
BUT – WOULD HAVE means just that . . . WOULD HAVE – BUT NOT NOW, and for TWO reasons.
1 – Romney should have NEVER agreed to a PRIVATE meeting with Jeb Bush, to conspire how to divide and manipulate the SPOILS of political WAR, BEFORE the WAR was even engaged.
This type of ELITIST thinking is EXACTLY what the REAL PEOPLE HATE MOST, and what has been the cause of the steady demise of the American Dream.
2 – If Romney REALLY wants to get into the FIGHT again, he SHOULD have been in Iowa stating his case BEFORE the PEOPLE he would hope to LEAD.
Instead, Romney was a NO-SHOW.
AMERICA HAS HAD ENOUGH OF THE BUSH’S . . . “READ MY LIPS”:
ALSO . . . AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL – America was built solidly AGAINST Political Dynasties at the enormous cost of BLOOD, PAIN and TREASURE. America and the world have no NEED for another BUSH.
Then there’s Jeb Bush’s record . . . Other than being a Progressive Republican, what has Jeb Bush done to win the adulation he is receiving from Establishment Republican Insiders?
IN ADDITION . . . Bush has further ruled himself out of contention for the same two reasons Romney did.
1 – Even though the campaign had NOT yet really started . . . he was nonetheless making SLEAZY backroom deals.
2 – He too was a NO-SHOW in Iowa, which to me was UNCONSCIONABLE.
There is a large number of Republicans who would each make a GREAT President . . . from Scott Walker (currently my favorite), to Ted Cruz, to Rick Perry and Ben Carson. There are others of course. But these are the people who are at the top of my list.
If Hilary Clinton is the BEST the Democrats have . . . GOOD NIGHT IRENE, BECAUSE THAT’S ALL SHE WROTE.
FORGET ABOUT THE HILLARY HYPE . . . She is a HORRIBLE Debater. She is cold and aloof. And the MORE she tries to be a WOMAN OF THE PEOPLE . . . the more her DISDAIN for the people shines through.
What Difference At This Point Does It Make? . . . To her GREAT Chagrin, Hillary Clinton will discover that it means EVERY DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!
If for whatever reason, the Republicans decide to go with Bush . . . I WILL NOT BE HAPPY.
And if the RINOS are so STUPID as to choose Chris Christie . . . I WILL THROW IN THE TOWEL, AND WRITE THE REPUBLICANS OFF.
PS – UNRELATED to the Republican Campaign to choose a Presidential Candidate, but REALLY IMPORTANT to all of us . . . is this past weekend’s Greek Election, which has chosen a FAR LEFT Government.
Once installed into OFFICE, it might be CURTAINS for the EURO and perhaps the European Union as a whole. And that could easily bring about a GLOBAL DEPRESSION.
REMEMBER . . . It is the things we don’t see, and do not expect, that do us in . . . and they more often than not start small, and come out of LEFT FIELD.
Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov
