The Politics Of Fear And Demagoguery

For a guy who ran an inspirational campaign featuring a Utopian Society, where all you needed to do to live a wonderful life was to vote for CHANGE and believe in YES WE CAN, Obama has overnight morphed into a harbinger of FEAR.

Obama’s words to the Senate were simple, clear and threatening:

If the Republicans didn’t pass his Stimulus Package, the world would come to an end.

The Recession would be forever. And the result of not passing HIS Stimulus Package would be CATACLYSMIC.

He also makes constant reference to BIPARTISANSHIP; that his, is an administration that wants to work with everyone. However, if EVERYONE doesn’t agree with his “Lordship” Obama, they are OBSTRUCTIONISTS.

He makes a huge deal of inviting Republicans to the White House for Super Bowl, or to private breakfasts and get-togethers. But make no mistake about his intentions; they are not to bond with Republicans or to work with them.

The ONLY purpose to Obama’s special interests in some Republicans, including Conservative journalists, ESPECIALLY Conservative journalists, is to co-opt them.

Obama is an egomaniac with a hugely disproportionate level of intolerance for anyone who disagrees with him.

One of the sad realities is the mood of the American people who in HUGE numbers (two-thirds) do not like Obama’s Stimulus Package, but still like him as if the two are not one-in-the-same.

And even though two-thirds of the population does not like the Stimulus Package, they still blame the Republicans for being obstructionists because Obama says they are.

Here’s a newsflash for the people who believe that Republicans are obstructionists. THEY SHOULD BE OBSTRUCTIONISTS.

I actually phrased that too delicately. For the Democratic system to really work, different political Parties and levels of government MUST BE ADVERSARIAL.

It is the competition between political and social philosophies, thought and varying courses of action that make a true Democracy work.

It is the Demagogue who will do whatever it takes to remove confrontational, adversarial, and obstructionist politics out of the process in order to achieve his or her agenda who is the enemy of Democracy as we understand Democracy to be.

Just because the “Savior” Obama says it is so, doesn’t make it so. It only makes it so for him. Not to challenge his policies would be a crime to the very foundation of Democracy.

Obama is an IDEOLOGUE and a DEMAGOGUE.

An Ideologue is a person who sees the world in a narrow vision such as Karl Marx, who was ONLY able to see a workers’ paradise governed not by free will and free enterprise, but rather by an intrusive state that knew all the answers.

Hitler was also an Ideologue on the other side of the spectrum.

What both of these men shared in common was DEMAGOGUERY. They both used fear to stifle and mute their opposition. They then used the silence from the “lambs” to remove the opposition.

Barack Obama is an IDEOLOGUE and a DEMAGOGUE who used fear with a promise of hope through “CHANGE”, along with an empty slogan of “YES WE CAN” to get elected.

And now that he’s President of the United States of America where two other Ideologues and Demagogues sit in the majority of the Congress, Pelosi and Reid, their tolerance for the political process and their opposition is almost non existent.

We are entering very dangerous territory, not just in the United States of America, but in the entire world, since Planet Earth needs at least one reliable Super Power it can depend upon.

With Barack Obama in charge, backstopped by Pelosi and Reid, this once upon a time reliable Super Power will never be able to meet its expectations and deliver the type of stability the world so desperately needs.

You might have been one of the many who HATED George W Bush, but at the very least, with Bush, everyone knew where America stood on just about every issue. And no one could ever say that Bush tried to co-opt or silence the opposition.

Obama’s Presidency is no longer a matter of “normal” competing political opinions and visions, it is going far beyond that, to the point of Change the world cannot afford.

Obama’s single largest weakness is his inflated confidence in his own magical view of himself. Eventually, many of the people who worship the water he walks on will finally figure it out, and see behind the smoke and mirrors.

But until that happens, the damage he will cause to the world could be cataclysmic, making the fear he preaches a self-fulfilling prophecy.
