Ontario’s Short End Of The Stick

While it is true that Ontario’s Premier, Dalton McGuinty is in my personal opinion a micromanaging self-serving Dufus, and is quite responsible for the financial mess Ontario is currently in, he is not the exclusive reason.

We cannot run a country successfully when much of its wealth, tens of billions of dollars are squandered on a province (Quebec) that wants nothing more from Canada than to shake it down.

We cannot run a country successfully when much of its wealth, more tens of billions of dollars are squandered on Official Bilingualism, when Canada is NOT a bilingual country, with more than 97% of its population being non French speakers (excluding Quebec).

We cannot run a country successfully when much of its wealth, billions of dollars annually, are squandered on relatively unaccountable special interest Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) no one asked for, and very few tax payers know of.

We cannot run a country successfully when about ten billion dollars every year goes into a corrupt and incompetent Native fund.

We cannot run a country successfully when businesses, especially small businesses are swamped under a mountain of bureaucratic crap.

There is no surprise at the number of outrageous ways Canada squanders the people’s wealth and complicates the governance of our country. The surprise is how the people take it without so much as a whimper.

Ontario has been giving Ottawa almost 30 BILLION tax dollars annually. What has Ontario got back for it?

If ever there was a province that has received the short end of the stick, it is Ontario. And that the Ontario taxpayers, who have been so thoroughly screwed by Ottawa and Quebec are still not angry is beyond me.

Ontario’s taxes have been steadily and not so slowly rising. Ontario’s manufacturing industry has steadily and not so slowly been declining.

What are we going to do about it?

Most Ontarians don’t even understand there is a real problem other than things will cost more, and they will have less money with which to budget.

Many Ontarians will be pissed and complain an awful lot amongst each other.

Some Ontarians might even write letters to the editors.

But most Ontarians will demand that the government do something about this NOW! Create more Ministries and Committees to study the problem. Provide more welfare. Raise the minimum wage even more than it is.

But only a very few will demand real remedial measures such as:

Canada should kill all non-essential social programs including Native welfare. The Arts have to go, including the CBC, the National Film Board, and grants for people and publishers who produce books no one reads.

Canada could do without NGO’s and their special interests.

End this absolute nonsense of Official Bilingualism when Canada is NOT a bilingual country.

And MOST of all – END all equalization payments.

Ontario has far more money than it needs to manage its own affairs if it wasn’t sending our fortunes to Ottawa, which are literally poured down a bottomless pit of greed, graft, incompetence, and Quebec.

If I’m elected as your Independent Candidate to be your Voice in Parliament, this is part of the message I will bring to Ottawa. But I will bring it in the most aggressive way you can imagine.

If Canada would stop squandering our money, Ontario’s economy would turn itself around overnight. Our taxes would be lower, and there would be ample revenue to maintain our infrastructure and social services.

But that won’t happen until the voices of the people of Ontario and the rest of Canada are heard. SO LET’S BE HEARD.
