Finally Justice For Scooter Libby

Everyone likes to see the high and mighty fall. Especially the “little people”.

As I’m sure you know, President George W Bush commuted Lewis Scooter Libby’s sentence to the great chagrin of all the Leftists and the “little people” who wanted to see Vice President Cheney’s Chief of Staff go to the slammer for a couple of years.

Everyone likes to see the high and mighty fall. Especially the “little people”.

Those who are the most critical of Bush’s decision, the likes of CNN, keep saying that Scooter Libby’s sentence for the leaking of a CIA agent’s identity was commuted. That’s a bald-faced lie.

Scooter Libby was NEVER tried or convicted for leaking the identity of Valerie Plame. As a matter of record, the Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald knew that it was not Libby who leaked Plame’s identity, yet he still hounded the man.

Fitzgerald knew that it was Richard Armitage who leaked the identity of Plame, which after all the dust settled wasn’t even a crime, because she was not a covert agent of the CIA. But that didn’t stop Fitzgerald from driving an innocent man (Libby) around the bend.

The way I see it, it is Fitzgerald who should be pilloried for knowingly going after an innocent man, to the point where that man (Libby) “might” have perjured himself to a Grand Jury while defending himself where no defense should have been necessary.

I don’t see much of a difference between what Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald did to Libby, and what District Attorney Mike Nifong did to the Duke lacrosse players.

Both of these legal zealots knowingly and willfully pursued innocent people to achieve whatever they were after for their own personal agendas.

If there was indeed justice in this world, Fitzgerald would be getting the same treatment Nifong is receiving. And if anyone should be doing time in the slammer, it should be these two.

That Libby’s sentence has been commuted is the first justice we’ve seen in this whole ugly political witch-hunt.

And if there was real justice, Plame and her lying husband Wilson would both be sitting in stir for creating a situation that never was.

It’s no wonder decent capable people have no interest in entering public life. Why bother when the pukes own the lagoon, and the best you can hope for when it’s all over is to retire with a good pension and your reputation intact?
