Michaelle Jean, Canada’s new Governor General is an Academy Award Winner. And our news media are jerks.
On Tuesday, September 27, 2005, Michaelle Jean was invested as Canada’s Governor General. Even though it is a mostly titular position, she is in fact Canada’s Official Head of State and Commander In Chief of Canada’s armed forces.
Not bad for an immigrant from Haiti, who married a Frenchman, and took his French citizenship, who is recorded on film drinking and toasting with Quebec TERRORISTS, who in the 1960’s and ‘70’s were responsible for bombings in Montreal, the kidnaping of a British Consul, and the cold-blooded murder of a Quebec government Minister, and the “accidental” murder of a night watchman at a Montreal shoe factory the Quebec TERRORISTS blew-up.
The fact that Canada’s new Governor General toasted the independence of Quebec also seems to have somehow become lost. And that her husband not only supported Quebec nationalism in his government funded documentaries, but opened his house to Quebec TERRORISTS also seems to no longer matter.
Michaelle Jean is very pretty and very polished. But what else would one expect from someone who has honed her skills as a television journalist and news anchor? She has learned her lesson very well.
In her coronation speech, Jean wowed the politicians and news media with her passion for Canada.
Canada really is a joke of a country. We accept that a person who warmly consorted with Québécois ethnocentric nationalists, TERRORISTS, bombers, and murderers is now somehow the greatest thing for Canada since Confederation.
We forget that Quebec has virtually wiped out its English speaking communities and institutions. And we’re not even a little bit curious that the appointment of Michaelle Jean was made solely for the benefit of the Federal Liberal Party’s chances of gaining or keeping a seat or two in Quebec.
We forget that Western Canada is so alienated by Ottawa, that provinces like Alberta and British Columbia are far more likely to leave Confederation long before a bankrupt Quebec does.
And then there’s another reality:
Canada is an independent country that is in every sense a working Democracy governed by the will of the people and the rule of Secular law. So what’s with our allegiance to the Queen of England?
Why are we celebrating a dysfunctional family who believe they have a DIVINE right to govern by the grace of God?
Michaelle Jean will cost the Canadian taxpayers a great deal of money as she and her French born Quebec Separatist and TERRORIST loving husband globetrot in a luxurious fashion 99.99% of us couldn’t begin to imagine.
She will open schools and hospitals. She will deliver the speech from the throne. And she will represent Canada at home and abroad.
But what she will not do: is make life better for Canada or for Canadians.
In the short term; she might help Paul Martin and his Liberals in Quebec. But in the long term; she will be just another useless appendage and expense foisted on the people of Canada.
For the media to be so swept-up in this hype, is almost as disgraceful as the choice and position of the Governor General for Canada. I expected no less from our politicians. But far more from at least some of our media.

Indeed Howard, the world has become one where reverse realities are the norm. As irrational as it seems, it has happened within the last 60+ years. My Bible tells me that in the ‘end times’ people will believe a lie because they have been given over to strong delusion. Why? Because they WOULD NOT believe the truth of God. We are beginning to understand what it may have been like in Noah’s day, when man had become so evil God destroyed the whole world except for those on the Ark.
