There’s No Fool Like An Intellectual Fool.

In the September 27, 2002 issue of the National Post, the editorial headline reads: "Don't they ever get tired of being wrong"? Referring to the Canadian intellectual elitists. I guess they don't.

The intellectual elitists don’t know when to let go.

In their common position against the USA’s imminent attack on Iraq, they quote the harm done to Iraq by the UN boycott.

In the September 27, 2002 issue of the National Post, the editorial headline reads: “Don’t they ever get tired of being wrong”? Referring to the Canadian intellectual elitists. I guess they don’t.

In the words of the intellectual elitists: 1,500,000 Iraqis have died as a result of the UN boycott . . . Oh yeah – PROVE IT!

Where did the intellectual elitists get this number? Who verified it? How did this number come into being? If 1.5 MILLION Iraqis have died due to the UN boycott, it would amount to one of the great genocides of the world, equaling the Ukrainians murdered by the forced Soviet famine, and the slaughter of Armenians at the hands of the Turks.

1.5 MILLION is not a small number. It is unbelievably high. Were people starved? Did they die from a biological attack? Were they slaughtered by Israeli suicide bombers? Were they gassed by American Christian martyrs? How did they die?

If they didn’t die by any of the above. Where then was Saddam Hussein to feed, shelter and medicate his people with all the wealth the UN is allowing to come into his country on “humanitarian” grounds?

If 1.5 MILLION Iraqis have died as a result of the boycott, how then, can Iraq afford to give the families of Palestinian suicide murderers $25,000 every time they are able to kill Israeli Jews? If Saddam has enough money with which to encourage murder, he certainly must have enough money with which to feed and care for his own people.

Over what period of time did these 1.5 MILLION people die? Was it during the last 10 years since the boycott? I don’t have the figures for how many people have died within Canada during the past 10 years. However; if someone were to tell me that 1.5 MILLION people died during that period of time; I would not be surprised.

People die all the time from a myriad of causes. But I guess we could split hairs and find a way to blame someone for the deaths. For example: we can all blame McDonald’s for promoting fatty unhealthy hamburgers and fries. And then say that the Golden Arches is responsible for so many cardiac related deaths. Therefore; the intellectuals could claim that McDonald’s is a mass murdering organization controlled by the Bourgeoisie.

To say that the West, or that the pitiful UN is responsible for the deaths of 1.5 MILLION Iraqis, without any real foundation or proof, is as stupid and dishonest a claim as can be made.

Remember the 500 Palestinians the Israelis were supposed to have “massacred” in Jennin? These intellectual elitist fools were also quick to accept that as fact; that is until someone had the idea to say show me? All of sudden – no massacre.

The National Post’s editorial headline: “Don’t they ever get tired of being wrong”? Absolutely says it all about these intellectual elitist fools.

  1. Mr. Towndrow’s response of “Must respect all faiths” is baloney. This so-called ‘respect’ of the Islamic faith in the west is done at the sacrifice and disrespect of all other people and faiths. Schools, businesses, organizations, etc. all disrespectfully push everyone else aside in order to put first the Muslim faith. The only true respect of all is one that plays no favourites, gives no special treatment, bends no rules and has no discrimination where we all must abide
