World leaders have taken hold of the edict that says: You are either with us, or you are with the terrorists.
Nice sentiment if it is really true. But it is not. The Western world has proven they will be with anyone willing to offer a strategic military and financial advantage; including terrorist supporting countries with the exclusion of very few.
Many “intellectual elitists” talk about “root” causes. Why did America get hit by the terrorists? What does America have to do to become more internationally sensitive to the needs of the poor oppressed Third World? And finally. America has to change its policy towards Israel.
If the Free World really wants to get to the “root” cause of this current nightmare, they only have to look at how they treat despots, dictatorships, misogynists and intolerant Islamic fundamentalists. Unfortunately with the same respect they treat fellow democracies.
What the leaders of the Free World have to declare is simple. You are either with the democracies, or you are with the despots. Then you would be talking about the “root” cause.

Check out Eva Cassidy’s recording of Over The Rainbow. Probably the best I have ever heard. She was a young Jazz singer that died way too soon.
