I’ve often thought “those who can, do; those who can’t, go into politics. I guess that phrase can suit any number of hapless ‘jobs’ and self-serving people.

Howard, we had an old fashioned folk-song “Hootenanny” tonight. I chose a song from The Kingston Trio’s “Time To Think” album released a month after the JFK assassination in 1963. The song starts off like this: “Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream I Never Dreamed Before. I Dreamed The World Had All Agreed To Put An End To War.” Everybody joined in. Quite an evening. I was a huge fan of the Kingston Trio starting in the late 50s and in fact, I have all their albums including “Time to Think” except one which I accidently damaged. I clearly remember Hootenanys including the TV show of the same name. They introduced me to the 5 string banjo which I play to this day. The folk era was the best until the Beatles came along and ended it in a day.
