Allowed for the First Time – Political Action Committees to Become Financially Involved in all Election Matters in the United States of America, which Didn’t just Allow, But Rather Encouraged, All Manner of Big Business & Big Labor to Pour Millions (Billions) of Dollars into Political Action Committees (PACS) for the Sole Purpose of Influencing Elections, Much Of It With “Dark” Money, which Could Come from Anywhere in the World, Creating the Greatest Disincentive Imaginable to Fair Elections & Fair Governance Once Elected . . .

Canada Doesn’t Have An Election Financing System Like The USA. But What Canada Has Is Just As Bad – Maybe Worse, where the Candidates of the Canadian Federal Parties, are Literally Chosen by the Party Hierarchy of Each Party, which are Themselves (Party Insiders) Run by the Rich & Powerful.

And Even Though Canadian Political Finance Laws Are Strict & Controlled . . . No Union or Corporate Donations, No Out-Of Country Donations, and No Personal Donations of More than a Few Thousand Dollars Total Per Year Per Voter-Eligible Canadian are Allowable in Canada.

Every Donation Penny Over $20 Has to Be Meticulously Accounted For.

All of which the Preceding Does, is Make it Almost Impossible For Start-Up Parties & Independent Candidates to Compete Against the Established Canadian Political Parties which Have Millions of Dollars in their War Chests.

While it is True that there are Candidate Selection Votes Per Ridings (Districts), the Candidates who Wish to Represent their Riding are Pre-Selected, with the Outcome More or Less Predetermined by the Party Brass.

And Once In Government, Each MP (Member Of Parliament) has Literally ZERO Independent Authority to Vote for Anything of which the Government Doesn’t Approve.

In Canada, We Vote For Members Of Parliament To Sit In Government Collecting A Great Salary To Nod Their Heads.
