MORE GOVERNMENT INTRUSIONS ON THE FIRST AMENDMENT:
Jack Phillips is a Colorado Baker who might go to Jail because he outright REFUSES to bake a cake for a same sex wedding between two men, because of his LEGITIMATE Christian religious beliefs.
ONE OF THE SCREWIEST STATES IN THE UNION:
This challenge to Phillip’s religious rights to practice his religious beliefs as he sees fit, is being fought in Colorado, which has become one of the SCREWIEST States in the Union.
I think that not only do they smoke too much dope in Colorado . . . THEY ARE DOPES
Colorado says that Phillips does NOT have the right to refuse to bake a cake for a Gay Couple’s Wedding, even though his deeply held LEGITIMATE Christian beliefs say otherwise.
And if Phillips does not comply with the DEMANDS of the State of Colorado, it is very possible that he will go to prison for exercising his FIRST Amendment RIGHT to Freedom of Religion.
ARIZONA LAW SB-1062 ALLOWED FOR RELIGIOUS OBSERVANCE:
Arizona has been mercilessly pummeled by most of the media . . . INCLUDING LEFTIST politicians, and most RINOS for the opposite reason to Colorado.
In Arizona’s proposed Law, the State was saying . . . that based on Legitimate Christian Religious values, no one can be compelled to do work for specifically Gay Occasions such as weddings.
To the LEFT, RINOS, and other assorted political cowards, including the NFL and additional gargantuan businesses, which had threatened serious punishments of all description on the State of Arizona, including the loss of the 2015 Super Bowl if this law was NOT vetoed by Governor Janet Brewer, there would be incredible consequences.
Somehow, this simple law MORPHED into an attack on Gay RIGHTS, which it is NOT.
Actually . . . to the antagonists of the proposed law, they spun it to be NO LESS DIFFERENT to an attack on individual FREEDOM, than were the Jim Crow Laws that took a myriad of RIGHTS away from American Blacks . . . including the RIGHT to marry a White person.
I ACTUALLY READ THE ARIZONA LAW . . . unlike most people who have an opinion. And I think it was reasonably well founded.
The law does not do anything like the Jim Crow Laws that were defeated in the 1960’s, which before their repeal allowed establishments to refuse services to people based on color, services that included hotel reservations, restaurant meals, school registrations, social club memberships, where to sit on a bus . . . etc.
In fact, for the LEFT to draw this comparison of the proposed Arizona Law and the Jim Crow Laws demonstrated several things to me:
1 – About the use of Demagoguery . . . THERE ARE NO LIMITS FOR THE LEFT.
2 – To compare this proposed Arizona Law to the Jim Crow Laws is an absolute insult to all Black Americans who greatly suffered under the thumb of REAL discrimination.
3 – The LEFT love nothing more than a straw-man, which they can use to beat-up on Conservatives, with the help of the media.
HERE’S WHERE I STAND ON BOTH ISSUES:
ON COLORADO . . . Phillips has every right NOT to participate in a Gay Wedding for legitimate personal religious reasons, or even if it is just out of his own moral conviction. He’s not saying that two Gay Men don’t have the legal right to marry. And he’s not organizing some demonstration to break-up their wedding.
All he’s saying . . . IS – DON’T MAKE ME A PART OF IT.
I’m Jewish – What would I say if a Neo Nazi group came into my Bake Shop and asked me to bake a cake for them to celebrate a Nazi Occasion with a Swastika on top?
What would the Courts say if a very pro Zionist Group went to a Moslem owned bakery with an order for them to bake a cake to celebrate the SIX DAY WAR and the re-unification of Jerusalem and the West Bank to Israel . . . and the Moslems said no?
ON THE ARIZONA LAW . . . I support it completely, because it is NOTHING like the LEFT and political cowards are portraying. This law would make it legal for anyone on legitimate religious grounds to refuse to participate in a Gay/Lesbian orientated celebration.
What would the COURTS and the LEFT say to a Moslem Baker who would refuse the same, since in Islam, according to the Koran, Gays and Lesbians should be executed?
Gays and Lesbians are NOT being turned away from access to restaurants, hotels, memberships, clubs, jobs, promotions, marriages, civil rights . . . or anything else by this law, because if they were, that’s where I would draw the line.
YOU CAN’T TELL THE BOOK BY THE COVER:
My motorcycle friends often share rooms in hotels/motels on long rides to save money. It’s usually two men or two women to a room. Am I to assume from that, that they’re Gay, because they share a room?
I used to have a friend who I was 99.999% certain was Gay. He walked like a ballerina. He was very soft spoken. He didn’t laugh as much as giggle. He had virtually no facial hair. And he dressed like a Dandy. In total truth though, this friend of mine was a Heterosexual SEX MACHINE.
I say this, because Gays/Lesbians – etc . . . are not visible targets like people of Color or Garb (Kippahs, Turbans, Hijabs – etc), for anyone to discriminate against.
GAY PRIDE PARADES AND CELEBRATIONS:
I would no sooner support a STRAIGHT Pride event, where people celebrate their sexual preference, than I would a Gay Pride event. Actually, I find the whole spectacle of men and women displaying their sexuality in public as demeaning and offensive. AND I’M NO PRUDE, not that there is anything wrong with being a prude.
I fully support Rob Ford, the Mayor of Toronto who refuses to participate in Toronto’s Gay Pride Festival. And in spite of his very public drinking and drug problems, it seems that the majority of Toronto residents agree with him.
HERE’S A CURRENT INSIDE-LOOK AT MY CORPORATE LIFE VIS A VIS GAY PRIDE:
Our advertising agency very recently offered Tourism Toronto a promotional deal that would have given them MILLIONS of dollars of REAL advertising in the North American Markets of their choice, for just $0.15 on the dollar, which is something we do every day with major Hospitality Providers across Canada.
It was politely turned down for various reasons, none of which made any sense to me, but the PRIMARY reason for the rejection, was because Tourism Toronto didn’t want to take any money away from their Gay Pride Promotions. Even though they would have saved $850,000 on each million dollars in advertising.
WHERE DO I STAND ON GAY MARRIAGE?
I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. BUT, I also believe that two men or two women of consensual age should have the RIGHT to marry and enjoy the same laws and privileges as any other.
But just don’t shove it in my face. And don’t try to convince me that it’s normal.
SAVE THE HOMOPHOBIC EMAILS FOR SOMEONE ELSE:
I will definitely receive hate mail for this editorial . . . and I will be described by the HATERS as being HOMOPHOBIC. But, before you send your angry words, you should know the following:
1 – I marched in a Gay Pride Parade in Victoria British Columbia to see what it felt like. I felt kind of stupid marching for nothing but an alternative method to having sex with people who were dressed ridiculously and gyrated garishly. Which is a lifestyle I would never want for myself.
2 – Between 15 and 20 years ago, our advertising Agency was asked by one of our Hotel Clients in Ottawa (Arc The Hotel), to promote the FIRST Wedding between two California MEN who couldn’t legally get married in their own State and Country.
I said yes, and did a BANG-UP job making certain that the Gay Wedding had plenty of positive exposure. But, even with a personal invitation to attend the wedding as an honored guest, I politely said no thank you.
WOULD I HIRE A GAY PERSON? Yes, as long as he or she promised not to make his or her sexuality any part of an issue in the workplace.
WOULD I BEFRIEND A GAY PERSON? I am already a friend to several Gay people.
DO I THINK SEXUALITY IS A CHOICE? I think a person’s sexual preference is something a person is born with. But, either way, born or by choice, it is what it is. And it is none of my business.
SHOULD A GAY LIFESTYLE BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS AS NORMAL?
I have been asked REPEATEDLY to debate Gay NORMALITY, which I will not do, since I believe that being Gay is “normal” for people who are of that lifestyle, but NOT normal for the rest of the world.
Just like I will not engage in a debate over how many Angels can dance on the head of a pin, I will not debate the normalcy of being Gay. And for the record, teaching in school that the normality of being Gay is no different from being STRAIGHT, is a serious injustice to the students, and a violation of trust parents place in the schools.
I REALLY LIKE AND RESPECT ARIZONA GOVERNOR JAN BREWER:
Jan Brewer was FORCED by irresistible pressure by the Gay Rights Lobby, which includes the LEFT and Kiss-Ass Republicans, to VETO the proposed Christian Rights Law.
And anyone who would hold the VETO against Governor Brewer is deeply mistaken, because for her to have accepted the law under this incredible political and media juggernaut, would have delivered an inconceivable victory to the LEFT and the Democratic Party for November 2014.
THE GREAT LEFTIST HYPOCRISY AND JUXTAPOSITION:
It is now against the law in Colorado to refuse to participate in a ceremony that legitimately offends Conservative Christian Values. But, it is NOT against the law to BAN CHRISTIAN ICONS such as the CROSS, from public view so as not to offend Non-Christian-Believers.
What a screwed-up world we live in . . . that needs plenty of straightening-out.

If the media made the simple change to “Police officer shoots felon resisting arrest” which is what really happened, but no they have to play up the “White cop” and “unarmed Black teenager”. Even here in good ol’ Canada the major broadcasters just can’t resist! Yup’ the storm is coming!
