Tuesday, September 11, 2001 – Another Day That Will Live On In Infamy

What happened today in the United States Of America was inevitable. The world has never profited from cowardice.

What happened today in the United States Of America was inevitable. The world has never profited from cowardice.

Yet; countries seem never to tire from trying. Ask Europeans who litened to Neville Chamberlain after the Munich conference, when he declared “Peace For Our Time” in regards to his meeting with Adolph Hitler.

Chamberlain read the following statement in front of 10 Downing Street upon his return from the September 30, 1938 conference:

“My good friends, for the second time in our history, a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honor. I believe it is peace for our time. Go home and get a nice quiet sleep”.

The American response to this horror has to be a global response. No democracy on this planet can allow the United States of America to stand alone. It is the responsibility of every nation that does not support terrorism to stand with the Americans as they deliver retribution. And no country that is sympathetic to people who kill and destroy, as they have done in the USA and in the Middle East should be spared.

The world has condemned Israel for defending itself from terror, and sadly, for once, the world can see for itself what the cost of terror really is.

I will remind you of Pastor Martin Niemoller’s famous Holocaust poem:

First they came for the

socialists and I did not speak out

because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the

trade unionists,

and I did not speak out

because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,

and I did not speak out

because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me,

and there was no one left

to speak for me.

When the Islamic terrorists came for the Israelis; who beside the Americans spoke out? Certainly not Canada. Now that the Islamic terrorists have come for the Americans; who will speak out and join the world’s greatest democracy in delivering retribution?

What happened today in the United States of America changes everything. The world must speak out, with far more than simple words and platitudes.

  1. Thanks for shining the light in every dark corners as this is where they hide. We will now need to stand vigil so that we do not get stuck with the likes of Justin Trudeau.
