ANNE, THE FALCONATOR, THE MAC-ATTACK & I ARE HEADING HOME:
We’ve Been On The Road For Several Days. It’s 8AM as I’m Writing this from a KOA Park in Winchester Virginia, As We Are Taking Our Time To RV Back To Canada.
There’s No Rush. The Weather Back Home in South Eastern Ontario, where we Live in the Spring, Summer & Autumn Near the Provincial Line with Quebec (One Hour From Downtown Montreal & One Hour From Ottawa) isn’t the Greatest . . . So Why Hurry?
I’m Writing This Short Note To Make Certain That You Know I’m Still Around, And To Make Sure You’re Not Going To Forget Me.
I’m Still Here . . . And I’m Intensely Listening to the News in Canada and in the United States of America, and with So Much Happening in Both Countries, I Have No Shortage Of Things I Really Want To Write About.
I Want To Write About Canada’s Election, and the Real Possibility that a Usurper by the Name of Mark Carney can Win the Prime Minister’s Office to Finish the Dastardly Job Started by Justin Trudeau . . . Effectively Destroying The Nature Of The Country Of My Birth.
If Pierre Poilievre Doesn’t Win . . . Canada Will Lose In Unimaginable Ways.
I WILL BE WRITING ABOUT TRUMP’S “LIBERATION DAY” TARIFFS:
You Might be Surprised to Know that I Support Everything Trump’s is Doing to Make America Great Again, Even the Tariffs on Canada . . . Not because I Want Trump to Hurt my Country, But Rather, Because Trump Was Elected By The Majority Of The American People To Do A Job He Promised-To-Do.
Do I Like The Way Trump Is Treating Canada? . . . No!
Do I Think Trump’s Tariffs Will Make America Great Again? . . . No!
Do I Think Trump’s Tariffs Will Weaken The World’s Commerce? . . . Yes!
Will Trump’s Tariffs & Penalties Hurt Canada? . . . Yes! But Canada Will Survive.
In the Next Few Days – I Will Write Much More About Trump’s Tariffs, Canada’s Election and the Direction Much of the World is Heading.
Anne & I – The Dogs Had No Say In This Matter . . . Have Decided Before we Started this Trip, to Spend Three Nights at a KOA in Allentown Pennsylvania, where we Will Arrive Later this Afternoon.
We Figured The Three Nights In Allentown . . . will Give us a Needed Break from the Road, which will Recharge our Batteries Before we Get Back Home on April 7, 2025, which will be the Start of a Plethora of Medical Appointments & Needed Set-Up Back On The Farm.
I’LL BE IN TOUCH MUCH SOONER RATHER THAN LATER:
Over The Next Few Days – Expect An Editorial Dealing With The Biting Issues Of The Day.
Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov

Bon voyagea
We wish you and Anne and the dogs an uneventful and easy journey home. Drive carefully Howard, your voice and insight is needed to cut through the din and noise and all the nonsense.
Safe travels to you all. Sorry I haven’t written much in reply. My Husband and I have been fighting fluA, and this has really taken a toll us. It’s been a rough month. Got the flu vaccine in the fall, but the doctor said it was a miss this time as many have gotten the flu in spite of getting the vaccine. Do take care and stay well.
Praying for your safe arrival back home.
Safe trip Howard–weather here in Quebec and where you live is quite ugly indeed–No spring so far at all Looking forward to your comments Be well
The dow is already down 3.25 % right now. This is going to be more than just a little bit of short term pain in more ways than one. The honeymoon is definitely over.
Safe travels. Bikerly Huggsesses from Andy
Tariffs, just another way of taxing the people. Trump is playing chicken with the countries he listed on his billboard. He is saying, I believe, you put your tariffs at 10 percent and I put mine at 10 percent. what he wants is for those countries to drop their tariffs and then the USA will drop theirs accordingly. The smaller countries will give in sooner, whereas the stronger ones will hold out longer. Hope you and your family have a safe journey back home.
We can never forget you, Howard. I’m no economist but this tariff war does not seem like something positive for either side. What might score a win somewhere will also have a loss elsewhere. For instance, you save one industry but hurt another. There has to be other ways. No nation is an island. We all need others on some trade level. I have a bat, you have a ball. So logically I don’t see the point of excessive hikes to the point of shutting off trade. Looking forward to your next editorial.
Praying for a restful stay in Allentown and a safe return trip home.
You have to take care of YOU and YOURS foremost–God speed HG and family! You have become part of my community of special friends by speaking your mind!
God bless and safe travels to the four of you!
Safe travels. If prices were equal everything would be green for all. As it seems, people want to get as much green as they can get and pick the pockets of those that don’t have. G-d does not like usury and did not like the pharisees using false weights and money values.
Margaret Trudeau is Justin’s mother. She remarried and had 2 kids with Fred Kemper. Fred’s sister is Verlie Kemper. She has a son named Mark Carney who just took over as Prime Minister and is Godfather to Chrystia Freeland’s son. Talk about keeping it in the family….y’all really have to make sure Pierre Poilievre wins this month! His wife is also very accomplished and speaks 3 languages. Here’s wishing you to have a safe trip home.
Hope the rest of your trip is safe without incident. As for reciprocal tariffs, can’t help but wonder if this latest has to do with Pres Trump wanting to bring production back ‘home’ so citizens will buy more Made-in-America products rather than the former less expensive ones from overseas (China esp). Of course, the other is ‘fair trade’; if other nations put tariffs on their products coming here, why shouldn’t we put them on items we send to them? It’s going to hit our pockets either
Further to Sherry’s astute commentary, I would add that there is a distinct possibility that Fidel Castro is Justin Trudeau’s father. Little Justin used to bounce on Castro’s knee during his father’s many visits to Havana. Combine this revelation with Justin’s public admission that he has a particular admiration for communism because that system of governance permits the government “to get things done on a dime” and voila you realize that the Liberals don’t even hide their totalitarian b
Economic and financial union should be the North America goal. Freedom to travel through all provinces and states. Development of all resources for the benefit of all. Open up the North and the north west passage. Canada retain it health care system, passports, internal taxation, remove all provincial trade barriers, and to achieve this ELECT PIERRE
Safe journey home Howard. The weather should be more Spring-like by the time you arrive. I always look forward to your excellent editorials. Marlene Leavey
Safe journey Howard. I’m so glad you have your doggies and a wonderful wife to share your travels. These are very unpredictable times for our two countries. Thank you for all your fine reporting and insights. Best to you and Anne.
Thanks Howard for all you do to keep us informed. Safe travels for you an the entire family. Winter is still with us but I do see the temps rising next week at least in my neck of the woods. We are tired of winter also…a few days sunny then you get the snow & winters back! What can I say this is CANADA the Greatest Country in the world! Pierre Poilievre for Prime Minister if Canadian Seniors want a better life I suggest voting for Pierre as Carney will take us down the road of to Communism!!
I don’t know exactly how the next year shakes out.I am only sure about the fact that the USA is on an unsustainable course. We either need a huge increase in gov. revenue or a huge decrease in spending with the chance of the latter being slim to none.If this doesn’t work we end up where we were headed anyway.
