FIRST THEY CAME FOR OUR FREEDOMS OF EXPRESSION . . .
The US Supreme Court Under John Roberts Has Become Too Political Opposed To Being Sufficiently Constitutional.
I’ve Written Many Times How I Believe that we’re Living in the Age of the Philosopher Kings, whose Focus Dates Back Thousands of Years to the Greek Philosophers, in the Likes of Socrates, Plato & Aristotle . . . Who Believed That Life & Living Were Too Complicated To Be Entrusted To The Masses.
That Being Considered . . . Think About the People who are the Doers & Makers Opposed to the Talkers and the Takers. When you Need a Plumber, who do you Call, a Man with a Degree in Existential Thought . . . Or a Man who Holds a Wrench & Knows How to Use it?
WE HAVE ALLOWED OUR SOCIETY TO BE HIJACKED BY THE TAKERS:
Have You Ever Read The American Bill Of Rights & US Constitution?
I HAVE . . . SEVERAL TIMES, and Each Time I’ve Read the US Constitution, I’ve Come away Super-Impressed with its Simplicity, which Says (Written) so Much in so Few Words.
THE MAGIC ELIXIR IN LIFE IS SIMPLICITY:
Several Generations Before The Birth Of Christ & The Advent Of Christianity, a Student of the Torah-Icon Hillel . . . Said to the Jewish Scholar, that the Torah (Five Books Of Moses) is Far Too Complicated to be Studied & Learned & Challenged Hillel to Explain the Torah to Him While Standing on One Leg.
HILLEL TOOK THE CHALLENGE AND SAID . . .
“That Which Is Hateful To You, Do Not Do Unto Your Fellow”
“That Is The Whole Torah . . . ”
“The Rest Is Commentary; Now Go And Learn” . . .
Leviticus 19:18 . . . “Love Your Fellow As You Love Yourself”.
IN OTHER WORDS . . . DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOU:
America, Like Canada and so Much of the Rest of the Free World, Have Over the Generations Sacrificed Simplicity for the Unnecessarily Complicated, which Today Has become the Recipe for the Destruction of our Freedoms.
The Simplicity Of The US Supreme Court . . . at Least to my Way of Thinking Has Always Been to Interpret & Adjudicate the Straightforwardness of the Laws Enshrined in the US Constitution, Signed By 39 Patriots, who Created a Framework for a Constitution which would be Clearly Interpretative For & By the People for Whom it was Created.
The Problem With The US Supreme Court, is that the Justices Forgot their Mission, and Chose to Rather Use the Simplicity of the Constitution for them to Interpret in their Own Complicated Fashion, while Creating Laws, Rules & Regulations that were Never to be Part of the American Judicial Landscape.
It’s Now Coming Back To Bite The Court & The United States Of America In The Ass . . . as the American LEFT has Chosen Anarchy & Chaos Over Law & Order, Because the Justices Chose their Perceived Brilliance over the Brilliance of the Founding Fathers, who Used their Love of Freedom & Independence over the Rule of the Philosopher Kings.
STAND FOR SOMETHING . . . OR LIVE FOR NOTHING:
Thursday . . . May 5, 2022 – Myself & 6 Other Motorcycle Riders Led The Israel Independence Day Parade In Montreal.
For Me – At 72-Years-Old, the One Hour-Plus-Plus Motorcycle Ride to Montreal from my Southeastern Ontario Home was Somewhat Grueling, Given the Early Morning Departure-Time, The Cold Morning Temperature, Construction Caused Clogged Traffic & Dreadful Road Conditions in Quebec & Throughout Montreal.
And Because of the Aforementioned Challenges, a Larger Group of Jewish West Island (Montreal) Riders Choose Not to Attend. HOWEVER, to my Delight . . . I & My French-Canadian Friend Francois (Frank) also From Southeastern Ontario Met-Up with our Rag Tag Group of 7-Riders (Total), of Which there was Just One other Jewish Rider Beside Myself, And 5-French Canadian Riders . . . who Insist on Identifying With & Supporting the Jewish Community.
The Parade Went Off Without A Hitch, where in the Last Parade to Celebrate Israel Independence Day in Montreal, Before the China Virus Shut Down the World, there was a Massive Sneak Attack & Riot by Palestinians & Palestinian Supporters, which Caused Considerable Damage & Harm to the Peaceful Montreal Jewish Celebrants.
To The Montreal/Quebec Police . . . They Were Outstanding In Their Professionalism & Protection Of This Parade.
But Back To The Absence Of Jewish Riders, which was More Disappointing than just Somewhat to Me . . . the Fact that so Many French Canadians Joined in our Celebration of Israel’s 74th Anniversary to the Return to the Land of Milk & Honey, In-Spite of the Potential Threats of Violence Against us . . . Was Far More Meaning To Me, Than A Bunch Of Jewish Riders Who Didn’t Show-Up Out Of Inconvenience.
Having Christian French Canadians Riding As Part Of This Group, Brought Back Tremendous Memories of Riding Multiple Times Cross Continent for Israel & Against a Second Holocaust (Pledge Riders), with Many-Many Dozens of American Christian Riders Led by Texas Pastor Gary Burd Of The Mission: M-25 Riders, who Also Stands Tall for the Right of Jews to Live in their Ancestral Home (Israel), and for Jews to be Free & Safe Wherever we Happen to be.
PS – JUST TO LET YOU KNOW . . . WE’RE ALL FREEDOM LOVING CONSERVATIVES:
We Jews . . . Who Number Less Than 0.2 Percent Of The World Population, Are Metaphorically Strong in the Number of People Who Stand & Ride with Us, But Unless We’re Prepared To Stand Alone . . . There will Never be Enough People who will Stand with Us to Make a Difference.
Life Is Only As Complicated As We Let Our Enemies Make It.
Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov
Well written. Both my dear mother and my mother-in-law have said “if we do not support the Jews then we have nothing”. I certainly stand with and support the Jewish people.
Your comments about French Canadians are encouraging, since they were (and many still are) for many generations quite anti-Semitic which I witnessed growing up in Montreal many years ago. I will never forget the large French teaching institution hospital in Montreal whose entire physician medical staff went on strike when they realized that a Jewish doctor had been admitted to the medical staff a few decades ago. He was forced out and had to resign before his first day at work.
Amen on all points, Howard.
I’ve been reading you editorials for a few years now and I have only one question: “How’d you get so smart?” As always, great article today.
Kept thinking while reading the first part of your editorial – that’s what lawyers do -complicate the simple. And what is the profession of all judges and most politicians? Glad your trip was a safe one.
Ms Robinson makes a very good point. It seems, unless you are a lawyer you can not sit on the Supreme Court. I have known many lawyers, some good, some smart, all seem to be shady. I took a law class while in college, it seemed to me that the predominate basis of law is to win your case, even if you know your client is wrong/guilty. Roe vs Wade is a tough topic, how do you tell a rape victim they must carry a child. It seems the gov’t has stepped into our personal lives to controlling.
Howard – it pains me to see the continuing increase of the evil – apathy – actions that scream we don’t care. It has been an honor to ride / stand with you at several events! Thanks for allowing us to join you and others in this worthwhile mission! God bless Israel
