But About 50-Years Ago, there was a Black Running Back from the USA who Played for the Montreal Alouettes (Football), who was Nothing Less than a Running Sensation. And I’m Not Thinking Of Johnny Rodgers (The Ordinary Superstar).

When This Player Whose Name I Can’t Remember . . . Took the Ball & Began to Pump his Legs, he was Poetry-In-Motion to Watch. The Problem Was . . . this Superstar Didn’t Like to Get Hit & Far Too Often After Every Hit (Tackle) he Would Lay-Down Waiting for the Trainer to Run Onto the Field, and then Limp-Off for Everyone to See Him in Pain.

Eventually, this Player Missed Practices, Didn’t Get off the Bench During Games Because he Didn’t Feel Right & Missed Games Because he Refused (In His Words) “To Play Hurt”.

Eventually – The Montreal Alouettes Let Him Go & No Other Team Cared To Pick Him Up. No One Likes A Quitter.

There is an Enormous Documented Number of Athletes who Knowingly Went-On to Compete with Sprains, Pulled Tendons, Smashed Bones & Psychological Distress . . .   Because They Were Real Heroes.
