Hward, you’re spot on, as usual, and I am totally disgusted. (BTW, the Conservatives dropped “Progressive” from their name when they merged with the Reform Party. (But you are correct, they are still Progressive). And O’Toole IS a Tool.
I can’t agree with you on Maxime Bernier. I find that he is not a team player. When we were kids, if you could not have you way when playing a game, you would say give me my bat and ball: I’m going home. This is a fast description of Maxime. Ray Moscato Calgary
Great article, as usual. Years ago I ran as a Progressive Conservative Party candidate against the then Solicitor-General of Canada. His campaign war chest was ten times mine. Needless to say,….. Since then the party has dropped the “Progressive” moniker, but ironically has become more and more progressive ever since. The word is a misnomer, of course. There is nothing more regressive than a “progressive.” We genuine conservatives should shout out this truth every chance we get.

In Canada, we have “CINOs” Conservatives In Name Only. In the next federal election with new western Canada separatist parties like WEXIT and the Western Block Party, the Conservative vote is going to split in so many directions that turdgrope and the fiberal party will probably win a new majority and then we will totally be screwed. I will be voting PPC myself even if I still have some reservations about what Maxime Bernier did as Foreign Minister and leaving secret papers exposed in his house.
I’m becoming more and more convinced that liberals/Dems/Progressives/Socialists are infiltrating the Republican Party to undermine the Constitutionally conservatives of the party. They are RINOs+ and are a threat to the Republic, not just the GOP. They definitely need to be ousted.

To vote for PPC is a tough call given the ROC is fed up with Francophone PM’s, however, I can’t imagine anyone worse than Trudeau. PPC may take votes away from Conservatives but they will still be no votes for Trudeau. If PPC can win Liberal ridings then Trudeau may be a minority facing a stronger opposition. As Robert says, we have CINO’s, none more than O’Toole the PC Leader. These are bad times, BLM; Cancel Culture; Self Censure, Academia non existent systemic racism & Pandemic Corona.
The US population has been dumbed down with handouts. It is a shame but in our area there are Help Wanted signs in almost every business, yet our government hands out our money. Should be telling people, Go To Work, Go to School and get off your dead butt. Teachers need to be told, Go To Work or lose your job, Unions Suck as they force you to keep non productive people on the payroll. I agree, we must get rid of RINOs any way we can, Term limits would help. Also, Retire at 70 period.

One think i admire about the Democrat party is they know how to circle their wagon. They have large internal issues now so I am curious how they hold it together with the AOC and Bernie side pushing as hard as they are to take over.

When I heard Peter Sweitzer (sp.?) on Mark Levin’s program when he told about all the politicians who were involved with China investments, I was shocked. Some were McConnell’s wife, Pelosi’s husband, of course, Biden and his family. Still they keep getting elected and have tremendous power. How stupid do these voters have to be? I just can’t understand how these people think? (or lack of)
I agree with Kenny Corber, O’toole is a tool for Trudeau but he is also a fool, is why I call O’foole.
This may be somewhat off the wall but IMHO, politicians don’t give a rat’s a** what their electorate wants, (unless they believe it will get them re-elected.) It would be advantageous if unbiased questionnaires were sent to each eligible voter requesting opinions on whatever legislation is pending. Then publicize how our elected politicians voted, (or failed to vote), on each issue. My granddad subscribed to “The Congressional Record” which contained everything voiced aloud by whoever spoke.
