THE ONTARIO CONSERVATIVE PARTY SCORED A HUMONGOUS VICTORY:
SO . . . As an American, why should you care in the Least about a Massive Conservative Victory in Ontario Canada, with a population of some 12—Million People? What Difference Can This Possibly Make To America?
Before I Answer My Own Question . . .
It always FEELS GOOD to be Right. But sometimes, it REALLY FEELS GOOD, far more than usual, because, when being Right makes a Substantial Difference over the Alternatives, Being Right Becomes A Game-Changer.
I wasn’t Joking or Overstating the Facts in my last few Editorials, about the Consequences of a LEFTIST Victory in the just held (Yesterday) Ontario General Election. Had the Socialist Liberals, or the MORE Socialist NDP (Communist-Light New Democrat Party) Formed a Majority Government in Ontario . . .
1 – The Province would have become Financial & Cultural Dog-Food.
2 – Canada would have Finally Failed in its Entirety as a Free Society.
And as much Faith, Which I Don’t Have In The Intelligence Of The Average Voter, I held-out enough Hope in my Mind, Heart & Soul, that enough People of Ontario, would be Smart Enough . . . Not To Willingly Sign Their Own Provincial & National Death Warrant.
FORTUNATELY I WAS RIGHT!
SO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL QUESTION:
A MAJOR PART OF THE DOUG FORD/CONSERVATIVE VICTORY . . . Believe it or Not, was Because of President Donald Trump – Not that President Trump had anything Directly to do with this Victory, but Rather, because President Trump Inspired Enough Ontario Voters to Believe that we could do Much Better If We Dared.
THE PEOPLE WANTED DOUG FORD:
Like President Trump, Doug Ford was a Businessman, First & Foremost. And also like President Trump, Doug Ford was an Outsider, who the Entitled Political Progressive Conservative Insiders wanted Nothing to do with, Much Less To Have As Their Party Leader. But like it or not, the People wanted Doug Ford to Lead the Party, and that’s exactly what they got.
THE LEFTIST CANADIAN MEDIA DIDN’T WANT FORD EITHER:
Just like in the United States, Ontarians were Treated to a Deluge of Fake News, Slanted News & Contrived Polls, all of which showed the Three Main Parties Being Neck & Neck.
And when it became Obvious to the Media, that the Kathleen Wynne Liberals were Going To Have Their Asses Served To Them On A Platter, the Media & Pollsters Turned to the Communist-Light NDP as their Great Hurrah, not just suggesting that the NDP had a Shot-At-It, But in many Polls . . . Were Actually Leading.
And Then – When The Bright Lights Came On . . . The Media Cockroaches Scrambled For Cover, and the “Progressive” Conservatives . . . led by the Outsider REAL CONSERVATIVE FORD . . . Cleaned the LEFT’S Clock, WINNING A MASSIVE ELECTORAL VICTORY.
In Sports & Military Parlance . . . It Was A Rout!

So How Bad Was It For The Ontario Liberals?
It was So Bad For The Liberals, that they Didn’t Win Enough Seats (7-Seats) to be Recognized as a Party in Queen’s Park (Ontario Parliament), which means the Ontario Liberal Party Does NOT get a Real Seat at the Table.
And now . . . Kathleen Wynne, the Liberal Architect of this FIASCO, like all Rats, has just Announced that She’s leaving the Sinking Ship, which drops the Liberal Seat-Count to just Six . . . GOOD!
In The Words Of Obama & He Should Know . . . It Was A Shellacking
The Provincial Liberals Do Not Get the Extra Funding they would Normally Receive as a Recognized Party . . . for Research, Special Travel & Staff. Nor will they be Invited or Included to Attend Major Functions & Meetings, which they would have, had the Provincial Liberals Won 8-Seats to give them Loyal Opposition Party Status.
GOD HELP ME . . . BUT WHO DOESN’T LOVE A LITTLE SCHADENFREUDE?
This Couldn’t Have Happened To More Deserving People.
BASICALLY . . . According to the Rules of Parliament, the 7-Elected Members of the Ontario Provincial Liberal Party are Nothing More than 7-Independent Members of the Ontario Provincial Parliament.
And Now They’re Just Six Pending The Next By-Election.
AS A CANADIAN . . . This is a Major NATIONAL GAME-CHANGER, since very few People, Including & Especially the Media . . . Held much Hope for the Conservatives to Win a Majority Government, Let Alone A Landslide, Wiping-Out a Political Juggernaut in the Process.
AS I SEE IT . . . TRUDEAU & THE FEDERAL LIBERALS – YOUR CLOCK IS TICKING:

Now maybe in California we can pull off something similar, if we vote in John Cox as Governor. Same doubts about the voters, so many of whom are the Takers. But even they squeal when their pocket books are affected (e.g. gas and car tax increase). And Trump has given voters hope, just as you describe in Ontario. Maybe, just maybe….
A huge sigh of relief from Beautiful British Columbia. I’m sure the farm work will be pleasurable today.
Well I for one was as surprised as a lot of people when Trump won and equally surprised that Ford got a majority. I expected he would win but not a majority. Now we will have to listen to all the doom and gloom from the others parties that will befall us because of Ford. I won’t be listening but will be hopefully watching Ford turn Ontario around to what it used to be.

No doubt, the Conservative Canadians had the same HAPPY feelings when Doug Ford won like the U. S. Conservatives had when Pres. Trump won the presidency. GO TRUMP GO! AMEN!

We will see Ford.Go look at a debt chart from the 1970s to today, straight up no matter which party was in power. SICK!!! Unless you repeal previous liberal, ndp laws, get rid of all sorts of expensive departments, reduce staffing levels…you cannot pay down, pay off debt, this is a fact… repeal the expensive, phony bilingual (more government jobs for the french), multicultural policies, cap and trade BS for starters…we will see!!!
WOW!! reminds me of Nov. 8th 2016. I felt on edge when we voted. I had lost friends and customers over my relentless yapping that we needed a change and Trump was our only & last hope to straighten this country out. Well, you see how well that’s working. Now Canada has an oppertunity to MCGA “Make Canada Great Again”. Eastern European countries are rejecting the E.U policies. There is hope for Italy, they are becoming WOKE. The Doug Ford victory is a harbinger on what will take place south of the Canadian border in the 2018 U.S. Midterm Elections this coming November. Where POTUS Trump goes victory follows; he never gets tired of winning.

Perhaps the quiet folks who go about their business, living their lives & enjoying their families without getting into the verbal swirl of political opinions, head on out to the polls in mass when it counts. They get tired of all the noise out there that tries to threaten reasonable peoples’ preferred way of life of peace & quiet. The 3.69% French-speakers have been getting too much govt. support, all based on the pathetic cry of “assimilation”. Over-dependence on govt. aid creates weakness – time for the French to stop making unwarranted demands. Majority English-speakers should not be forced to accept Forced Bilingualism!!

It doesn’t get better in an Ontario election than our PC candidate for S.D.& G received more than 50% in votes than the population of Cornwall. Premier Ford made some extraordinary promises and time will tell if he will be able to keep them. Ford is a businessman same as President Trump, not exactly an extreme outsider but with expertise and a solid team I think we can look forward to making Ontario Great Again. P.M.Trudeau your time is almost up, we will accept your defeat now if you like.

I worked the election from day 0 for my candidate. You’re RIGHT on all accounts of your assessment. We were following it here too of course. The Media was BRUTAL! G&M and 680 news the worse from my perspective. Ironically some other media laid off a bit? I believe because they realize a dying economy would take them down too. Self Perservation. Sadly George Soro’s LEADNOW helped the NDP win against our local guy Ben Levitt. Unfortunately Trudeau is stopping efforts to control foreign influence
Yesterday was a good day for the Canadians who are learning from their American neighbors that “Socialism” is for those who “live for today” (never thinking about tomorrow or the future of the nation)! It’s really amazing that the POLLS were sooo wrong predicting Trump’s victory! One would think after that media prediction fiasco, the Ontario media would get it right! Reason: The liberal media in both countries don’t WANT to get it right! They think that we are all sheep… listening and following their “fake news”, obediently led to the polls to slaughter. NOT SO! Now maybe there’s finally a leader in Ontario, from Toronto in particular, who will finally recognize the important part the province of Quebec played in making Ontario great by erecting a statue to the great Quebec premier, the very late Rene Levesque. Rene Levesque’s separatist movement caused the exodus of about 700,000 of Quebec’s finest anglo brains and talents. That turned Montreal, once Canada’s most important city into a back-water and Toronto into a successful megatropolis.

I hope Premier-elect Ford’s government will review and eliminate any such “assimilation” cost programs/projects… it could lead to others doing the same. Government operating costs are out of sight.
I’m an American with no ties to Canada. But, I’m rejoicing for our Canadian neighbors for this Conservative victory. Sadly, liberalism has a history of destroying formerly great countries – Canada being no exception. I rejoice with our neighbors to the north that they’ve begun to fight the cancer that is liberalism.
