WHAT’S REAL AND WHAT’S NOT

I’m slightly less than 6-Months away from being 68-Years Old (February 12, 1950). And yesterday, I HELPED Unload a Hay Wagon of about 300-Bales of Hay, Weighing on average 60-Pounds/Bale . . . and it was HOT in the Sun while doing it.

IT WASN’T EASY . . . & NEAR THE END – I WAS A SWEATY SLIGHTLY WOOZY MESS:

I AM TELLING YOU THIS . . . Because unlike Writing, Debating, & Politics, MAKING HAY, from Harrowing the Field in the Early Spring, to Seeding, Fertilizing, Cutting, Tedding, Raking, Baling, Stacking on the Wagons, Unloading the Wagons and Stacking in the Loft . . . IS A 100% REAL EXPERIENCE OF WORK & REWARD.

In My Case . . . The Reward was in the Doing. I was helping a Friend where we Board our Horses, who preferred I didn’t Help, because he thought I might have Collapsed and would have had a Heart Attack in the Process, I guess because I’m about 15-Years Older Than Him.

I THOUGHT OTHERWISE . . . I Was Right & I’ll Do It Again Next Year.

I think that most of us are TOO OFTEN Tuned-Out of Real Life . . . Consumed with the Make-Believe World of Entertainment with Reality TV, and Political Baloney, to take a step back and enjoy an Accomplishment that Requires Real Effort, which Produces Valuable and Useful SIMPLE Results.

AND WE’RE NEVER TOO OLD . . . To Do Something Useful.

TWO NIGHTS AGO . . . Anne, I – and two of our Friends (Same Horse Farm Friends) went out to eat at a small Hole-In-The Wall Restaurant, not far from where we live.

WE DON’T GO OUT THAT MUCH ANYMORE . . . Because the cost of eating out has more or less become PROHIBITIVE. And I don’t blame the Restaurants for their High Costs Charged for their Meals, because their Costs from Rent, Taxes, Light, Heat, Gas, Electricity, Insurance, Maintenance, Food Products and LABOR have Gone Through The Roof.

SO . . . when we do want to go out and Enjoy Good Restaurant Food, not Usually Fancy, and certainly NOT EXPENSIVE, we more often than not Favor Privately Owned Restaurants, where the Quality is Excellent, the Service is Personal, and the Costs are Reasonable.

THAT SAID . . . We know and Really like the Owners of this Terrific Restaurant in Alexandria Ontario, called COZY CORNER, where the Prices are Right, the serving sizes are MORE than Generous, the food is ALWAYS Delicious and the Owners & Staff Couldn’t be Nicer or more Accommodating if they tried.

Over Supper, I was speaking with the Owner of the Restaurant, who runs it while her Husband runs their Small Renovations Business. And I asked her if this was her First Restaurant, and if was worth the Effort, which it was . . . and then she told me an Interesting Story.

FOR ABOUT A DECADE . . . The Owner of this Restaurant (Denise) worked for the Ontario Government, more or less as a Contractor, providing Services (Meals, Cleaning, Baths – Etc) to Elderly People, who were well enough to live on their own, but needed some assistance.

BUT . . . As the LEFTIST Ontario Government, run by the Premier who Self Promoted as being a Proud Lesbian, as she Campaigned for office, SPENT the Province of Ontario into Fiscal Oblivion, which is rapidly running out of Money, so much so, that the Social Services Of Ontario Has Taken A Back Seat in Prominence.

SO . . . Instead Of Touching Government Salaries, Perks & Pensions, the Ontario Government, under the Proud Lesbian – Kathleen Wynn, began cutting the Services Provided to the Elderly, who DESPERATELY NEED the extra help, to the point, where INCONTINENT men and women, who REALLY NEED REGULAR BATHS, have been relegated to ONE BATH PER WEEK, so the LEFTIST Ontario Government COULD SAVE MONEY for their Public Sector Salaries, Perks & Pensions.

WHEN YOU’RE BUSY DOING SOMETHING REAL . . . LIKE MAKING HAY:

When you’re busy doing something like Making Hay or Unloading a Hay Wagon, which is pretty much Brainless Work, it gives you time to Think About Whatever . . .

And as I was doing it, I was thinking about the Elderly Ontario Canadians who have Contributed Much to my Country in their Expertise, Labor and Taxes, whose Reward because of LEFTIST Politics & Policies, is to Finish Their Lives in the Smell of their Own Unwashed Body Fluids . . . Which Made Me Extremely Sad & Very Angry.

DENISE COULDN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE . . . In Spite of her Pleas to do what should have been done to Help the Elderly, she found herself doing far more than the Government would Pay for, AT HER OWN TIME & ON HER OWN DIME.

SO DENISE LEFT HER SOCIAL CONTRACTOR’S JOB . . . because, LIKE ALL NORMAL PEOPLE, she too has a Family to Raise and Provide For – and she cannot become a Single-Handed Benevolence Society.

THIS ANECDOTE IS ABOUT SOUTH EASTERN ONTARIO . . . BUT IT COULD BE ANYWHERE:

As A Matter Of Fact . . . What you just read, isn’t just about Ontario Canada, it’s happening EVERYWHERE, throughout Canada and the United States of America, where our Elderly and LESS PRIVILEGED, who gave us the Greatest Countries Ever . . . Are Being Tossed Aside Like Yesterday’s News.

AND WHO ARE THE CULPRITS WHO COULDN’T GIVE A RAT’S ASS?

I WRITE ABOUT THESE BAD ACTORS . . . In Virtually all my Editorials, who are part of the LEFT, who care More about Their Own Sorry Asses, than they do about Anyone and Everyone else.

These are the LEFTIST One World Government ANTI-PATRIOTS, who are MORE WORRIED about how much YOU KEEP FROM WHAT YOU PERSONALLY EARN, than what they can do with their own money to help those in need.

When it comes to Personal Financial Generosity . . . Conservatives are MILES & MILES Ahead of Liberals and the LEFT.

When it comes to Volunteerism, Conservatives are amongst the FIRST to put Themselves Forward to be there . . . When Being There REALLY Counts.

TWO PERFECT EXAMPLES:

The Extreme Floods in Conservative Texas . . . where this Conservative BLOG, through its very Generous Readers, Raised slightly MORE THAN $5000 to send to Austin Pets Alive, which I assure you from Email Communications I’ve enjoyed with Austin Pets Alive, they couldn’t be MORE Grateful.

When the Streets of Houston became Rivers, and People REALLY Needed Saving, it was the REDNECK NAVY of Conservative Americans, who didn’t need some LEFTIST Bureaucrat to Form A Committee, to tell them what had to be done.

AND THEN THERE WAS IRMA IN FLORIDA . . . Where in Liberal Areas, there was Screaming, Accusations, Fights over Gas & Water, and the Flood Looting Discounters . . . much like there were in New Orleans during Katrina.

I GET TIRED OF ALL THE BS & MUCH OF THE CRITICISM – WHO WOULDN’T?

But . . . As I Spoke with Denise from the Small Restaurant, and Thought Gratefully of the Gratitude we received from Austin Pets Alive, and their Personal Invitation for Anne and I to Visit them when we get back to Austin Texas in November, and I Thought in Wonder at the REDNECK NAVY . . .

. . . It All Reinforced My Belief . . . In The Meaning Of The Famous Words Of The Ancient Babylonian Jewish Sage – HILLEL, From Before The Birth Of CHRIST.

IF NOT ME – WHO? IF NOT NOW – WHEN? AND IF NOT HERE- WHERE?

When I see so much GOOD, in a world where it seems that every “Man & Woman” is in it for himself or Herself, it gives me GREAT APPROBATION to do what I do Best – TO ADVOCATE, to Raise Awareness, to Expose the Phonies & the Carpet Baggers, To Help Where I Can, to Make People Think, to Make People Aware that they (we) are not Alone, and to OFFER HOPE, where HOPE is in very Short Supply and High Demand.

I CANNOT MOVE MOUNTAINS . . . But I can to some Degree Level the Playing Field, and where I can . . . I DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
