IT’S US AGAINST THEM . . . AND THEM IS THE GOVERNMENT:
Because I’m a Canadian, I would like to say that the average American Voter is far DUMBER than the average Canadian Voter . . . but that would be telling a HUGE LIE out of all proportion.
It seems that when it comes down to voting for the worst CANDIDATES possible, and for the worst reasons possible, Americans and Canadians are neck and neck in STUPIDITY.
AMERICA VOTED FOR A GUY – whose past is at best murky, but in spite of all the efforts which were made to hide who he really was, we actually did know enough about him to know that he was Un-American, Racist against White people, Socialist, Anti-Israel, and simply DREADFUL.
CANADA VOTED FOR A GUY – whose past is open like a book, who is absolutely far to the LEFT, totally inexperienced, who’s done nothing in his life beyond teaching some high school drama and skiing, who wants to bring Canada into A ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.
I could ask a simple question . . . how frigging stupid can we all be? But why bother, since even after the debacles of their respective leadership (Obama and Trudeau), even though Canada’s Prime Minister is still a neophyte at the job, they would probably get elected all over again, because at least half of the people in both countries want all the crap they can get for FREE from the people who still risk and work for what they get, and have no idea what moves our economies and guarantees our FREEDOMS.
JUST NOW . . . only months after being elected, Trudeau has begun spending Canada into oblivion, and has opened our doors to TENS OF THOUSANDS of Moslem Immigrants, who come to Canada, at great Canadian Tax Payer Expense with no discernable benefits for Canada, other than their HATRED for Jews and Israel, and their disdain for our Judeo/Christian Democratic Values, which are far removed from being benefits. Perhaps Trudeau prefers Sharia to Democracy.
AND TO ADD TO THAT . . . Trudeau is now laying the groundwork to take AWAY ALL OF OUR LEGAL GUNS, in the guise that we don’t need guns, and guns KILL. Yet, when push comes to shove, and REAL statistics are applied honestly and fairly, there isn’t even a HINT that LEGAL Canadian Gun Owners provide a scintilla of a problem.
I WILL NOT SURRENDER MY GUNS . . . NOR WILL I ABROGATE MY RIGHTS:
Just like many IDIOT AMERICAN LEFTISTS are promising to move to Canada if Trump is elected President, Anne and I would be more than happy to move to the USA if Trudeau is not stopped in his tracks by a public revolt, which does not want to be controlled by the BIG PIG on Trudeau’s Animal Farm.
SO . . . any Americans who want to trade Passports even-up with Anne and Myself, send me an email or comment, and let’s get it done.
AS FOR THE CRUZ/KASICH TAG TEAM . . .
As I’ve written many times, I would be happy with a Cruz Presidency, just as I would be happy with a Trump Presidency . . . but I would not be happy with a Kasich Presidency, even though I would support him with this BLOG if he won fair and square.
But as far as I’m concerned . . . FAIR & SQUARE has already left the building.
And after “saying” all of this – this Tag Team between Cruz and Kasich against Trump is not only STUPID and counter productive for Cruz and Kasich, but an absolute confirmation, that the system is RIGGED to protect the power of the INSIDERS, regardless of which side of the Political Divide the Insiders support, which to my way of thinking is one-in-the-same.
AND AT THIS POINT . . . if Trump loses the Nomination through this type of CHICANERY, as it seems very possible he will, and as a consequence . . . Trump decides to run as an Independent, HE WILL GET 100% SUPPORT FROM THIS BLOG. And if Trump doesn’t run as an Independent Candidate, there will be no shortage of Trump Supporters and OTHERS who will simply sit-out this election and prepare for the GREAT REVOLT.
I WISH CANADA HAD A PRIMARY SELECTION PROCESS:
I understand the 10th Amendment (States Rights) better than most, since in my opinion; it is the Bulwark of Protection for the American People from an over ambitious and over reaching Federal Government.
BUT STATES’ RIGHTS . . . also in my opinion – should not have the right to create a Labyrinth of ridiculously complicated rules and regulations that determine the meaning and outcome of majority votes, such as the current COCKAMAMIE electoral systems have been created in many individual States for undemocratically choosing Delegates to the Nomination.
I could see the following:
1 – For any State to give 100% of the Delegates to a specific Candidate who wins the State. In other words . . . Winner-Takes-All. That’s a fair way to do it.
2 – For any State to give a proportional amount of Delegates based on a proportional amount of votes each Candidate receives . . . Also a fair way to do it.
3 – There should be NO SUPER DELEGATES, or any Delegates chosen, who weren’t won through the Open Primary or Caucus Electoral Process.
4 – All Delegates MUST vote through the first round for their pledged Delegate *.
5 – No Candidate should be allowed to RE-ENTER the race, who has either Dropped-Out or has SUSPENDED his or her Campaign before the conclusion.
6 – No Candidate who has dropped-out, or has suspended his or her Campaign before the conclusion of the race, should be permitted to transfer his or her Delegates to another contestant who is still in the race.
7 – * And the ONLY Delegates who should be permitted to vote for whomever they want in the first round of voting, should be the Delegates from Candidates who have either dropped-out, or who have suspended his or her Campaign.
8 – And any semblance of a Candidate either BUYING the vote of a Delegate in one way or another, or a Delegate SELLING a vote in one way or another to a Candidate, should be seen as a Criminal Act, which usurps the Democratic Voice and RIGHT of the people.
AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE UNDEMOCRATIC ELECTORAL COLLEGE:

Great revolt coming? From this dumbed down country who elected that communist twice, & will bust a gut to get to the polls for hillary? I pray fervently that Hillary will be sent to prison instead of the White House, but if not, where is this rebellion coming from? Who will lead it? Howard, you are right on the button. Canadians are the most inept and ignorant group politically. Howard, one comment on the Electoral College. It was instituted by the Founders so that the larger populated states would not be able to control elections. If we didn’t have the Electoral College in place, the East and West coast states, mostly liberal, would decide presidential elections. The Founders were smart guys and knew they needed to keep everything checked and in balance.
American readers may not recall Trudeau – the Elder, Pierre. But the current edition of the Trudeau gang follows his father’s footsteps with devotion; bad mouthing regular Canadians, fawning over every Socialistic, anti-Western regime or cult available and spends Tax Payer funds like there was no tomorrow. People have to take a test for a Driver’s license, so why not have a test to vote in a Presidential election! As for Obama, at least he was a Community Organizer and Jr. Senator, but other than being a leftist former Prime Minister’s son, you failed to mention that Trudeau was also a night club bouncer in Banff, Alberta. So, the American electorate have a little more, but not much more credibility than we Canadians.
Agreed 100% with your 8-part description of the electoral process. I did some research once with the idea of getting rid of the electoral college all together. BUT, it would likely mean large cities would wind up determining the outcome because those populations would dominate – and we all know where that would lead … it’s close already.

I wholeheartedly agree with your idea of a voters test. All one has to do is watch Jesse Watters on TV to see that the average IVY league “student” has no idea of who is running, or for that matter who is actually in office at present. much less the average man on the street. As for the voting rules just remember who sets up the rules…..the politicians, and who are they who use confusing language……LAWYERS.
As much as I would like to see a Republican in the White House, that Republican will not be Donald Trump. He has pissed off so many voters that there is no way he can win the presidency. I hate to say it but if Trump gets the nomination Hillary will win the White House in a walk. Oh, he will get the votes of the so-called pissed of Republicans that voted for him and maybe a few more but that will be all. Trump’s mouth acts faster than his brain and that is his problem.

Howard: two things
1. Government (state or federal) has nothing to do with selection of convention delegates. It is total a function of the republican and democrat parties, which are private entities.
2. The purpose of the electoral college is to prevent smaller states from being dominated by the larger states. Without the electoral college five or six of the largest states could easily dictate the elections outcome.
I was born in Alberta and am a Western Canadian before I am a Canadian. Actually I am a Cascadian, the new name for the new country that is formed from the SK/MB border to the west coast. I could not in my wildest dreams see a better way at scoffing at the moronic electorate of Ontario. Wynne with a majority. AYKM? Doesn’t get any dumber than that, either side of the border. Re: the 10th Amendment. It’s ironic that the US was set up to give the residual power to the states, or the people. In Canada, the residual power (as a direct result of the Fathers of Confederation seeing what they viewed as the failure of the US’s 10 Amendment) was given to the federal government. Yet throughout both countries’ respective histories, court decisions have done the complete opposite: today, Canada is one of the most decentralized nations and the U.S. one of the most centralized!

Howard. None of the arcane delegate selection process is a law–each is a manifestation of the Republican and Democratic parties to control the candidate selection process. The Republicans had my Congressional opponent picked out a year before I showed up and told them what a lousy candidate she was. They laughed till I cleaned her clock 9 weeks later in a primary I hadn’t even thought about running in till I met their candidate-and they told me they EXPECTED me to raise 100K/yr in donations.
Your analysis is understandable. However I cannot see Trump running as an independent and winning. If he does that, they you can rest assured that Hillary will come out smelling like roses with her big fake smile

I agree that all guns must be confiscated, but only after all government leaders, beginning with Trudeau, BO, Hillary, all members of Parliament and Congress, and all anti-self-protection voters should demand their bodyguards, Secret Service, and other personal protectors give up their guns first. I will not hold my breath until such self-centered politicians and moronic voters do so.
Trouble is, the political parties are really clubs, who get to make their own rules. Usually, the people who register a party affiliation go along, because they either don’t know any better, or they also think the chosen (by those in positions of power in the party) are just fine. This year, especially in the Republican Party, somehow the powers that be screwed up! Oops! The “lower classes” have the bit between their collective teeth and are going for broke. Gotta love it.
TRUMP has already said it…”our political system is CROOKED”, and this is exactly why the ESTABLISHMENT FEARS him. I agree with Mr. Branch in that the Republicans have to “be careful about a Revolt” where Obama could declare Martial Law.
