TODAY – April 8th . . . Anne, Stryker, April The Cat and I will be heading North for the long drive back to Canada, and Canada’s own unique Political Idiocy. And as much as we absolutely LOVE being in Texas, I guess all good things have to come to an end.
That said though . . . we are actually looking forward to November, when we will once again head back South for another Austin Texas Winter. It would really be nice if our two countries (Canada and the USA) would get their act together, and establish an OPEN BORDERS POLICY for Citizens who are legally and socially acceptable from both of our countries.
It really blows-me-away, how both of our countries open their respective doors to all forms of Immigrants, who have nothing in common with our VALUES, CUSTOMS, LAWS & JUDEO/CHRISTIAN CULTURE, most of whom come cap in hand to live off our tax funded welfare . . . YET, OUR TWO NATIONS make it as hard as stone for Canadians and Americans of good quality to move, stay, and work in each others country, which is a discussion for another day.
ON THE ROAD FOR ABOUT A WEEK:
Depending on the weather back home (between Ottawa and Montreal), which at this point really sucks, we might take our time on the trip North and stay longer in some cities, until the weather in our part of Canada improves.
In the meantime . . . while traveling home, I will try to write as many Editorials as I can, and once I get home, my Topics and Writing Style WILL NOT CHANGE, not even by one iota because I will be in Canada for the summer.
. . . IT’S BECOME HARD TO TRUST THE REPUBLICANS:
THE SHEER FACT . . . that the big conversation around the Republican Nominating Campaign is about a CONTESTED OR BROKERED CONVENTION, if neither Trump nor Cruz wins the 1237 Majority Delegates which is needed to be declared the Winner, which at this point seems doubtful, is sending shockwaves of MISTRUST throughout the Nation of American Conservatives, who feel with 100% Justification that Republican Insiders have been LYING and CHEATING them for Generations – ARE ABOUT TO DO IT AGAIN.
I HAVE WRITTEN TONS OF TIMES . . . that as of this juncture – I don’t care who wins the nomination between Trump and Cruz, since both men are so equally invested in such a similar list of Campaign Promises, that neither can do much backtracking.
AND I ALSO BELIEVE . . . that given the character of both men, the Insiders will have as much to fear from Trump, as they will from Cruz – and vice-versa. AND THAT’S THE RUB.
There’s no shortage of talk coming from all quarters, as to how the DIRTY DEALS are being put together in the BACK ROOMS to get rid of Trump, for which I am 100% sure there is no shortage of conspiracies that have already been hatched from the TOP to do just that.
BUT WHY STOP THERE? If the insiders really hate and fear Trump, they have no reason whatsoever NOT TO HATE AND FEAR CRUZ . . . so don’t be surprised if the Insiders will pull a FAST ONE on the people by bringing in a RINGER at the Convention.
I HAVE A SINKING FEELING IN MY GUT . . . THAT WE HAVEN’T SEEN THE WORST YET:
If Cruz beats Trump Fair and Square . . . or Trump beats Cruz Fair and Square – LIFE WILL BE GREAT. But that’s not what I think is going to happen. I think the Insiders will not be quieted or made to be irrelevant, and they will do whatever they have to, to hold onto their reins of POWER.
HERE’S HOW I SEE IT . . .
If the people BELIEVE THAT THE FIX WOULD HAVE BEEN-IN, and the Insiders would have stolen the Nomination for a candidate of their LIKING, this will not only bring-on the END OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, it will guarantee a THIRD PARTY, AND SERIOUS SOCIAL UNREST, the likes of which the American people haven’t seen since the days of Lincoln.
AND LET ME ASSURE YOU . . . THERE WILL BE NO BENEFIT IN THIS FOR THE LEFT:
What I see happening is no longer just a contest between Candidates who want to run for the Presidency of United States of America, as the Representative of the Republican Party.
IT’S FAR BIGGER AND MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT . . . This is a contest for the HEART & SOUL OF THE USA and the future governance and security of the World.
And what you can’t fix with BALLOTS . . . PEOPLE WILL FIX WITH BULLETS. And that’s where this election is going, because the people have had enough, ESPECIALLY CONSERVATIVES, who can’t see any future in the system that has been STOLEN BY THE INSIDERS of both Parties, the Power Brokers, the Politicians and the Bureaucrats.

I wonder how long my boycott of French wine will actually last.
It really can’t be that long now before Sharia law makes the production of wine illegal in France.
I have come to the conclusion if what looks like it will play out at the GOP conclave that I will write in the name of John Galt this fall. After all, can anyone really tell me the difference between that fictional (some say real) character and what we are seeing come down the pike today?

The republican party has been a disaster, standing by or being complicit, while the democrats turn America into a socialist state. Out of control debt, overrun by illegals, declining wages, bad trade deals, government usurpation of our freedoms, etc. While the party “pooh-bahs” are more concerned with maintaining their cushy consulting, lobbying, bureaucrat and legislative jobs. The “greatest generation” is rolling over in their graves.

It is too bad that the political situation in Canada is as silly, perhaps even more inane on a per capita basis. The idiot pretty puppet of a PM is busy kissing the POTUS backside, taking selfies with fatuous and vacuous millennialist, and spending wantonly money that he does not have. Since the GOP can choose its own candidate over the wishes of its members via inside deals, what’s the point of even voting at all? Seems to me that we are doomed from the start because we have little power over the choice of a candidate we want to take the highest office. The party system is rigged against voting in a nominee that its members want, and it’s a sad commentary. It’s like “executive privilege,” but for the party hierarchy, where the members can end up losing. Adios, true freedom!

Howard that entire possibility became apparent as soon as the Republican party just jokingly ignored Trumps candidacy and him paying for it himself. They and their swollen egos are now trying desperately to “make a correction” subtlety and still not REALLY aware they have a beehive in their lap that could erupt! Say what you will about the US election system, at least there is some semblance of the people electing the president. Here in Canada, a few ‘insiders’ at a convention determine who will be the Prime Minister of our fair country. The leader of the party that wins the most seats during the election becomes the prime minister. As it stands now, almost 60% of the voters who voted in our last election did NOT want the ‘golden boy’ as Prime Minister.

You’ve got it right again, Howard. Last night Priebus was asked by Hannity if it will be either Trump or Cruz. He stumbled badly and did not answer….until Hannity asked if it would be between the three remaining candidates. Preibus said a winner will definitely come from the THREE. The elites need to be taken out and tarred and feathered. Good riddance to them and the GOP. What is so great about the parliament and PM system of government. The people do not vote for the leader of their country; nor in many countries even for their local leadership, a slate is given to them. The bicameral legislature of the US would resolve so many of the problems in many countries. In Canada it would remove some of the power of Quebec and the language issues as each province and territory would be equally represented. Canada also, needs a formal constitution with a Bill of Rig

Howard what will happen when there is released proof that Cruz has sealed his records and that he is not a natural born, native born, or naturalized citizen? According to J.B. Williams of North America Law Center they have proof and “If we have to stop this guy from defrauding this nation then we are going to do that.” I looked up this on the web page of North America Law Center and got an e-mail saying in two weeks they were going to release the information.

It is correct that the current rules state that the candidate MUST have a majority of delegates (1237 or more) on the 1st ballot to win the nomination. Given that, how can the officers of the republican convention award the nomination to some one who has none, nada, zero delegates chosen by the people during the 6 or so month-long process..I may not be voting this year or voting for Trump as 3rd party.

What a mess. In my 54th year of being an adult (my wife might argue that), I do not recall ever having a mess like we have now. That applies to the country and the election. I hope that we here in Texas survive this election cycle, so that when you come back in the fall, we have better things to talk about. We sincerely hope and pray that BHO haven’t declared Marshall law by then, and if hilLIARy wrangles her way into the Whitehouse, you may want to come to Texas before we sesede.
Howard: It has been a pleasure reading your editorials. I am Interest because my mother was born in Ottawa and she could never be a better Canadian/American. I have followed your editorials and find no reason to question anything. I have received a solid upbringing and believe you are spot on. I am very quickly approaching 80 and know that what happens with this election will not effect me greatly, my children and grandchildren will be subject to the out coming.

Why build a fence? Enforce the laws we have and dont grant citizenship because one is born here, plus do not give them what they come here for until they are TAX PAYING CITIZENS. Then there is no reason to come here and they will stay in Mexico hopefully. Laws mean nothing if they aren’t enforced.

The one thing that both countries need to be really “Great again” is a good-ol’ REVIVAL … lots of prayer, and getting back to the Christian principles both countries were founded on. I recall my God-fearing aunt years ago saying “God is going to punish America” as she saw the eroding of the morals of society … she was soooo right !!
