HE WHO CONTROLS THE “TRUTH” CONTROLS OUR FREEDOMS:
So much is happening in the world, at home and abroad, that NOT knowing makes us vulnerable VICTIMS to the absolute LOSS of our FREEDOMS.
The FREE flow of INFORMATION is so VITAL to our FREEDOMS . . . that he who controls the flow of TRUTH controls society . . . to the point – that every DESPOTIC regime knows that the FREE dissemination of information, is the AMMUNITION that is MOST deadly to the purveyors of PROPAGANDA.
THE SECOND AMENDMENT GUARANTEES THE FIRST AMENDMENT:
This policy to CONTROL information . . . is as old as recorded history, and is replete within the OLD and NEW Testaments, where communication had to be SECRETIVE to avoid the wrath of the LEADERS of the day.
Perhaps, the MOST illustrative example of this in recent memory goes back to the Nazis and Joseph Goebbels . . . who made PROPAGANDA into a science.
And one of the many ways in the NOT-SO-DISTANT-PAST, which the DESPOTS have engaged to CONTROL the FREE FLOW of INFORMATION, was to LICENSE printing presses.
In other words, ONLY those who would PRINT and PUBLISH what the government decided to be “WORTHY” . . . would have the license to disseminate information.
I have a friend, who is in her MID-80’s, who was a teenager growing up in Czechoslovakia when the Nazis invaded. She will NEVER consider herself a HERO, because she never held a gun to fight the Nazis. She didn’t lure Nazis into death-traps. And she DIDN’T act as a saboteur or spy.
BUT BY MY STANDARD . . . SHE WAS BY EVERY COUNT A REAL HERO:
What she did as a young girl, amidst the MOST horrible people of our time, was to SURREPTITIOUSLY plaster anti-Nazi PAMPHLETS in public areas where people could read the TRUTH about the Nazis and how the war was going.
The penalty for this pretty young girl if caught . . . was unimaginable. BUT SHE DID IT ANYWAYS, because, even as a teenager, she understood that INFORMATION was the most VITAL tool people have to protect their FREEDOMS.
The other TOOL used by DESPOTS, was . . . and still is, is to DISARM the people, preventing them from fighting for their FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.
THE THREAT OF THE “NEFARIOUS” FAIRNESS DOCTRINE:
When Obama first came to POWER after the 2008 election, one of the very FIRST issues he and the LEFT promoted, was the reengagement and enforcement of the so-called FAIRNESS DOCTRINE, which is nothing MORE and nothing LESS than the CONTROL of the Electronic Media to the benefit of the LEFT.
MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT . . . THEY’RE STILL TRYING:
ONE OF THE MOST BRAZEN AND APPALLING ANTI-FREEDOM policies within the last few years, that has been the recipient of Obama’s WILLING ACQUIESCENCE, has been the SURRENDER of the FREEDOM of the INTERNET, to the DISCRETION of the United Nations.
As of now, it doesn’t seem to be a BIG DEAL, since it’s off our radar. But make no mistake about it – IT IS INDEED A VERY BIG DEAL.
Not more than just a couple of years ago, because of dreadful LEFTIST appointments in Canada, to a pseudo government agency called the HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSIONS, which existed in each province, it became ILLEGAL, without any DUE PROCESS, to criticize ISLAMO FASCISM, and/or Homosexuality as not being a normal thing.
I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP . . . Just ask Mark Steyn and Maclean’s Magazine, upon whom the Human Rights Commission passed judgment . . . that neither could ever make disparaging comments about Islam in the future.
Ask Ezra Levant, another Conservative Canadian Media Personality, who was attacked by the Human Rights Commission for reprinting the Danish Mohammed Cartoons . . . as according to the Commission, it was a HATE CRIME to do so.
TO THE GREAT CREDIT of Canada’s Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper, he clipped the wings of all of Canada’s Human Rights Commissions, limiting their authority AWAY from determining Freedom of Expression.
THEY WILL IF THEY CAN:
FREEDOM of EXPRESSION . . . in all of our FREE SOCIETIES is under attack. In Israel, which takes tremendous PRIDE in being a FREE and Democratic Society with a FREE PRESS . . . under extreme pressure from the LEFT, recently OUTLAWED by LAW, through the Knesset (Israeli parliament), to HALT the Free Distribution of Israel’s MOST popular Newspaper, Israel Hayom, which has a clearly Conservative, PRO-Israel and PRO-Free Enterprise policy.
MORE WAYS THAN ONE TO RESTRICT FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION:
Our FIRST thoughts about restrictive Freedom of Expression laws . . . are immediately focused on what the government will NOT ALLOW US TO SAY OR WRITE. But it’s far more INSIDIOUS than that.
IT’S WHAT THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA WILL NOT REPORT . . . that is as much an Attack on our RIGHT TO KNOW, as the government’s restriction on how we are allowed to disseminate information. And there’s NOTHING we can do, or SHOULD do to FORCE the Mainstream and MOST influential Media to propagate all the NEWS, because that would be just as wrong.
THE INTERNET AND BLOGS HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING:
WE NO LONGER HAVE TO BE PATSIES . . . certainly NOT in this day and age of the INTERNET, to accept the ONE-SIDED and very often UNTRUE, or so badly slanted reporting we’ve been subjected to . . . for far too long a period of time.
And that’s why we should FEAR any control of the Internet by the WRETCHED United Nations.
AND BELIEVE ME WHEN I WRITE THIS . . . NEVER SAY NEVER:
If the LEFT can control what we disseminate on the Internet, THEY WILL. And if the United Nations has the support of the American Government, certainly from the OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA . . . Not only can it happen, IT WILL HAPPEN.
HERE COMES THE PITCH:
It’s been about one month since my editorial . . . There Are No Free Rides, which asked for VISITORS of this BLOG, to contribute financially . . . and to the GREAT credit of some of the readers . . . the response I received has been very encouraging.
I wrote that I would dedicate MUCH MORE time and effort to writing as much as possible, about the many issues that threaten our FREEDOMS every day. And as you’ve seen over the past month, I think I’ve lived up to that promise.
AND AS I WROTE IN THAT EDITORIAL . . . I will make a pitch once a month to the people who can AFFORD to offer SUPPORT for this BLOG, to keep the ball rolling.
As long as I can afford to take the time necessary to make writing and the DISSEMINATION of the TRUTH a FULL-TIME-ENDEAVOR, that is exactly what I intend to do.
Christmas and Chanukah are just around the corner, which means that cash is tight for MOST people, and I really don’t expect most people to contribute to this BLOG, but if you can, that would be GREAT.
ALSO . . . I get a great many emails apologizing for two things:
1 – “I would love to help support the BLOG, but I just have enough money to make do for myself.”
NEVER APOLOGIZE TO ME BECAUSE TIMES ARE TOUGH. Anne and I have a decent life, but BELIEVE me when I tell you . . . it hasn’t always been that way. We both know what it means to have had counted pennies.
2 – “I wish I could have given MORE” . . . coming from people who sent what they considered wasn’t ample.
PLEASE . . . NEVER APOLOGIZE BECAUSE YOU THINK IT’S NOT ENOUGH.
To the people who sent anything, it was 100% MORE than people who have sent NOTHING. So thank you.
ALSO . . . A great many of the people who subscribe to galganov.com, are not spring chickens, and live off modest pensions that don’t make it easy to keep up with rising prices. Please – Don’t for a second sacrifice to support this BLOG. I would much rather sacrifice to support you.

I wish conservative media would support each other more. If one has a great book or other idea or item make it known to the rest. There are many conservative books alone that could easily be best sellers if they are made known to the rest of us. Maybe we even need some kind of clearing house of conservative resources.
Thank you for your work. The new media has saved the Republic and is its best hope for the future.
