Multiple Truths

AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE:

There are many TRUTHS in the world, but ONLY ONE THAT COUNTS. And that’s the REAL TRUTH, which is far too often ignored on the altar of the TRUTHS people prefer to believe in, rather than what they MUST believe in.

HERE’S WHERE I’M GOING WITH THIS:

Obama and his LEFTIST political supporters were elected in the majority in the House, Senate and Oval Office in 2008. To the LEFT, not only was it a great day, it was PROOF and vindication that their TRUTH was absolute.

When Obama went on his worldwide apology TOURS in 2009, the LEFT basked in his America-loathing speeches, as he was wildly cheered by his minions of Europeans, Moslems and Arabs who yearned to see UPPITY-AMERICA taken down more than just a notch or two by hearing the TRUTHS of Obama.

And on and on it went, as Obama and the LEFT put everything they had into the DECONSTRUCTION of the American Dream, selling their TRUTH to the masses.

BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED ON AMERICA’S ROAD TO DAMASCUS:

As less and less of the American population dutifully followed the TRUTHS offered by Obama and his LEFTIST toadies, many began to see Obama’s TRUTHS for what they were, rather than for what they had hoped they were.

OBAMA IS ANYTHING BUT UNIQUE . . . NEITHER ARE HIS SYCOPHANTS:

History is replete with leaders who saw themselves as far more than just mortals, as were the followers of historical NARCISSISTS, who too thought they saw the TRUTHS no one else could see.

In recent history, these names included narcissistic luminaries such as Hitler, Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot . . . etcetera – all of whom shared one thing in common:

WHEN THEIR DAY WAS DONE . . . the above mentioned each left behind a legacy of despair, hate, hurt and disillusionment on a massive scale. And to their once-upon-a-time followers; there was bewilderment, a feeling of abandonment, and betrayal.

A CANADIAN EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE DISMISSED:

On September 17, 1984 . . . Brian Mulroney (Conservative) was elected as Canada’s 18^th Prime Minister. His was the single greatest election TRIUMPH in Canadian history, electing more Members from one Party than had ever been elected before.

Mulroney was the all new Glib, Silver Tongued Orator Super Star.

On June 25, 1993, after serving 10-years as Prime Minister, Mulroney resigned following much controversy over his style of governance, opposed to ability and content. In fact, in spite of some serious mistakes and missteps, Mulroney was a very good Prime Minister who made great decisions that really benefitted Canada . . . BUT THE PEOPLE HATED HIS ARROGANCE.

After Mulroney resigned, his replacement was Kim Campbell, who was not the sharpest pencil in the box, but was expendable enough to go down in the all but inevitable Conservative defeat.

And on November 4, 1993, the people had their chance at the polls to pass judgment NOT on Kim Campbell, but rather on BRIAN MULRONEY who ABANDONED his own sinking ship.

The result of that election all but DESTROYED the Tory (Conservative) Party by leaving it with the greatest DEFEAT in Canadian history.

The Conservatives went from 211 Seats out of total 282 in Parliament in 1984, to just TWO Seats on November 4, 1994 . . . ALL BECAUSE THE PEOPLE HATED MULRONEY’S ARROGANCE.

MEECH LAKE WAS MULRONEY’S WATERLOO:

In spite of the FACT that he was a very competent practicing attorney and accomplished business person with a great personal TRACK-RECORD before becoming Prime Minister, and did some great things for Canada, including NAFTA (North American Free Trade Deal), the revitalization of the Canadian economy, and our military, he lost it all due to his arrogance.

Through the Meech Lake Accord, Mulroney decided to REWRITE Canada’s Constitution, whether we liked it or not. And in so doing, he used his huge Parliamentary majority to shove his CONCEPT of Canada’s future down our throats.

And in a nationwide REFERENDUM to win it all, Mulroney “ROLLED THE DICE” (his words) and LOST.

BRIAN MULRONEY was a gifted speaker and an unbeatable debater. He had no need for a teleprompter, and could warm up a crowd just by being there.

And if it wasn’t for that simple fact that Mulroney held the “LITTLE PEOPLE” in disdain, there is no question whatsoever in my mind, that he would have become one of Canada’s GREATEST, most successful and most revered Prime Ministers.

But instead . . . Mulroney has become a PARIAH whose accomplishments will never be given the credit they deserve.

NONE OF MULRONEY’S COMPETENCE CAN BE SAID ABOUT OBAMA . . . BUT:

Where Mulroney had real substance, and tried to sell his own national VISION to an UNWILLING audience, he nevertheless loved Canada, and worked hard to make Canada better.

And even though he was as pretentious as they came, he did everything one could expect a National Leader to do . . . to PROMOTE the country he served, wherever he happened to be.

The American mid-term election is a scant month away, and all the players are positioning themselves for the BIG GAME.

BUT HERE’S THEIR REAL TRUTH:

In the case of the DEMOCRATS . . . which TRUTH will they use to convince the American People that they should still be in office, or even come into office?

Will their TRUTH that has so miserably FAILED America over the last six years, be what they will run on? Or will it be a different TRUTH, to avoid the TRUTH that got them into office in the first place?

FOR THE REPUBLICANS:

The only TRUTH they need . . . is the one that goes – “I TOLD YOU SO”.

What happened to the Canadian Conservatives in 1994, all but being wiped them off the political map, JUST because of an arrogant Leader and a subservient Party that he led, is not confined to Canada.

Don’t be surprised if by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, the Democrats will lose MORE Districts in the House and refer to a Republican as Leader of Senate.

Arrogance, Lies, and Incompetence have their limits.
