After FOURTEEN Days on the Road . . . Anne, Stryker and I are back from a FABULOUS experience as a result of the 2014 Pledge Ride, that began with a Jewish Friday Night Sabbath Ceremony in Scranton Pennsylvania (August 29, 2014), where Jewish and Christian RIDERS came together in prayer and feast.
The RIDE to Boca Raton was GREAT. The RIDE home however, was a misery, with 6 days of grueling weather, where it rained so hard, that the only way Anne, who was driving our F-150 behind me was able to see ahead, was by the flashing Strobe light on the rear fender of my BIKE.
And in all my years of RIDING, I don’t recall ever hydroplaning at any speed. And at 75 mph, I hit water on the road that swamped my floorboards, ran over my Gortex (water-proof) riding boots, and was high enough to touch the engine. What should have been a 4-day RIDE home took six days.
At every EVENT, we followed a protocol that included Color Guards proudly displaying our three flags, the playing and singing of our THREE National Anthems (USA, Canada, Israel), and the dedication of the American Pledge of Allegiance, followed by prayers, which were delivered by our Christian and Jewish BIKERS.
All of which ended with the Solemn Pledge of NEVER AGAIN:
From Scranton PA, we road to beautiful Wytheville Virginia in the Shenandoah valley, where Gary Cope, who lives, preaches and rides, organized that Pledge Event, which had us led into the city by police escort, where during the Event before the Pledge, we were handed the KEY to the CITY by Mayor Trenton G. Crewe Junior.
If we could have been made to feel MORE welcome in Wytheville, than we actually were, I don’t know how that would have been possible.
From Wytheville, about ONE HUNDRED Pledge Riders including a substantial number of Atlanta “SABRA RIDERS” amongst us, were given a 25-mile police escort to Centennial Olympic Park, where we had a moving Pledge Event, paying tribute to the LATE Michael Thomas, a Sabra Rider who was instrumental in setting up the Atlanta portion of the Pledge Ride.

Boca was the culmination of the Pledge Ride, where we had the Pledge Event staged in the parking lot of the Boca Marriott Boca Center Hotel, where more than 100 people attended.
And to the great credit of Israeli Born Harry Fischtein, who lives part of the year in Boca Raton, and part of the year in Toronto, he made us aware of the Holocaust Era Rail Road Box Car we used as our symbol and backdrop for the Pledge.
The EVENT was well covered by several Florida Media, and was broadcast nonstop on Joyce Kaufman’s Radio Show on WFTL Radio, which you can hear LIVE on-line Monday through Friday from noon to three.
The Event was so successful . . . that the Marriott Hotel Chain posted a photo and description of the Pledge Event on their Corporate Website, which is viewed by ALL employees of the company. NOW THAT’S SPREADING THE WORD.
If the purpose of the Pledge Ride is to make people aware of several VERY IMPORTANT TRUTHS . . . which included the following – IT WAS TRULY A SUCCESS:
1 – There was INDEED a Holocaust.
2 – We will do whatever we can to ensure that there will NEVER be another Holocaust. AND WE DO MEAN WHATEVER.
3 – That the world of today is in deep trouble with the expansion of Islam.
4 – That the LEFT is destroying our countries along with our FREEDOMS.
5 – And that the ONLY salvation for our FREEDOMS . . . is through the resurrection of the Secular Rule of Law and VALUES, which were once practiced and revered by our Judeo/Christian Heritage.
The Banquet featured Joyce Kaufman as our Emcee, with Pamela Geller as our Keynote Speaker, who spoke passionately about the threat that Global and North American Islamization presents to all of us.
I NEVER wonder or second-guess myself as to whether I am fighting for the RIGHT principles or not. I NEVER wonder if the fight I engage in for our basic FREEDOMS is worth the price I have paid.
But every now and then, as mental fatigue sets in, EVEN THOUGH I NEVER have doubts about the worthiness of the fight . . . I do wonder if it is worth continuing, knowing the scope of this NEVER-ENDING-BATTLE, which we can NEVER really win, and the price I have to pay to carry-on.
And then we have a tremendous series of EVENTS, as we have just completed on the Pledge Ride . . . AND I FEEL RESTORED.
When we said our Sabbath Prayers in Hebrew, with Lauren Secular of New York lighting the Sabbath Candles, and Andy Reti of Toronto Blessing the Wine, culminating with Seffi Sondak, also of Toronto who blessed the Challah (Sabbath Bread), Gary Burd delivered a Blessing on behalf of the Christian Riders, praying for our safe journey and success.
Even though at the very beginning of the RIDE in Scranton, we were not many in numbers, about twenty in all . . . these numbers were actually huge, because each one of us has a list of email contacts, most of us have Facebook, many have Twitter, and we all have access to YouTube.
In days gone by, pre-Social Media, perhaps we might have a thousand people who would attend a major event, and that’s where the event would begin and end. But, in this day and age, TWENTY people . . . depending upon the issue and the message, can reach MILLIONS.
If we needed any APPROBATION at all, to reinforce the need for the kind of action we are taking in our fight against the prospect of a SECOND Holocaust, against the Islamization of the World, against the LEFTISTS’ crusade to marginalize our basic individual FREEDOMS, and against the World’s ANTI-SEMITIC condemnation of Israel . . . Obama’s DEFENSE of Islam while condemning ISIS during his NETWORK speech said it all.
The world has always needed FREEDOM Fighters and always will. And as long as we can stand-up for those things that make us FREE, whether large or small in number, we will be there, and we will NEVER stop, because NEVER AGAIN to us is more than just two words in vogue . . . simply put together.
PS . . . After the Boca Pledge, the Rabbi (Marc Philippe) of South Miami Beach, who brilliantly performed the National Anthems of the USA, Canada and Israel, who also sang Jerusalem of Gold, and ended the ceremony by Blowing the Shofar (Ram’s Horn), which for thousands of years was used to usher in and conclude Major Jewish Holidays (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) and other important events, found that his Synagogue was desecrated with Swastikas and the image of the KKK.
I don’t believe that his participation at the Pledge Event had anything to do with the attack on his Synagogue, but when just one Jew, or just one Jewish property is attacked . . . I’M ATTACKED.
I am extremely humbled and appreciative for all the moral and financial support you gave to this Pledge Ride, because, if just ONE of us can’t be entirely FREE, then NONE of us will ever be entirely FREE.
The planning for Pledge Ride 2015 is already well underway.
Best Regards . . . Howard Galganov
