The more I read and hear about the Syrian Civil War, especially how the allies and enemies are lining-up, the more I am convinced that this mess will explode to INCLUDE Israel.
First, let me state what it is that I believe to be true, opposed to what the media and World-Body INSIDERS have to say about the Syrian Civil War outcome.
I believe that Assad will probably win. And if not Assad himself, then the Strongman who will replace him. And perhaps not win everything, but enough to survive and keep the Alawites’ friends and allies happy.
I DO NOT BELIEVE THE REBELS WILL WIN . . . AND HERE’S WHY:
1 – Syria has one of the Middle East’s MORE formidable militaries, well trained and armed to the teeth with the latest of weaponry, MOST of which they are holding back, but, if Assad ever decided to unleash the full force of his military against the so-called Rebels, it would be a massacre.
2 – Russia CANNOT allow Syria to fall to the Rebels for a host of reasons, one of which is the strategic Mediterranean Russian Naval Base at Tartus.
3 – There is no way the Iranians will permit Sunni Arabs (Al Qaeda), the Shiite’s eternal enemy to take power in Syria.
4 – Iraq is teetering on the threshold of its own Civil War that will also pit the majority Shiites against the minority Sunnis. And since it is the Shiites who presently hold control in Iraq, Iraq, like Iran, has a serious interest in keeping the Sunnis out.
6 – Hezbollah cannot lose their Syrian benefactor if they hope to survive as the power in Lebanon. And Iran can’t afford to lose Hezbollah.
7 – Even though there’s no talk of Egypt in the mix with Syria, make no mistake about it – the 90% plus Sunni population would love nothing more than to see the Assad Shiites fall.
8 – What about Jordan, a country awash in Sunnis (95%), where as many as 75% of the population identify themselves as Palestinians governed by a Hashemite King?
9 – And what about Lebanon, a once upon a time Christian country that has been raped and pillaged in the 1970’s and ‘80’s by Molsems from Syria and their Palestinian Proxy, which is now under the thumb of Hezbollah?
10 – THEN THERE’S SUNNI TURKEY . . . positioning itself to become the new Caliphate, much as a resurrection of the Ottoman Empire that fell in 1918 after WWI and the Arab Revolt of 1916.
I didn’t even mention Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf States, which are all up to their eyeballs in dissent, making them as vulnerable to revolution as any and all of the other Arab countries in the Middle East.
AND THEN THERE’S ISRAEL . . . SMACK-DAB IN THE CENTER OF IT ALL:
It’s incredible, as I’ve written many times in the past, how most of the world and just about every LEFTIST, Jewish included, somehow connects the dots for them to blame all of the ills of the world on Israel, because the Israelis want to build apartments in their OWN Capital of Jerusalem.
But . . . as the insane LEFTIST thinking goes – ONLY if Israel would surrender to the demands of the Palestinian Arabs, all would be well in the Middle East; and the rest of the world would be singing Kumbaya.
IT’S ALL ISRAEL’S FAULT . . . IT MUST BE, BECAUSE THE WHOLE WORLD SAYS SO:
That’s why the Arabs hate each other – And that’s why Shiites want to murder Sunnis, Sunnis want to murder Shiites, both want to murder Kurds, and Arab Moslems of any sect are hot to murder Black African Moslems.
And of course, that’s why between Egypt, Iran and Turkey, they’re ready to rip each other apart to see which one of them will be the Kingpin of the new Caliphate.
And I haven’t even touched on the Asian Moslems throughout the Caucusus, or Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, where Moslem sectarian hatred runs deep.
And Israel must have done something to make the Pakistani Molsems so HATEFUL of India’s Hindus and Sikhs. I just can’t imagine whatever it was. But not to worry, we should blame Israel nonetheless.
AT LEAST ONE COUNTRY DOES WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO:
Hey Obama . . . Israel drew a RED LINE. The Syrians crossed it. Israel beat the crap out of them. The Syrians are trying to figure out how not to provoke Israel into more responses.
Do you kind of think that there might be a message there for you?
I don’t want to see Israel going to war. But, Israel is at war, and has been at war even before the UN recognized Israel’s REBIRTH as a Jewish NATION in 1948.
And as much as I don’t want to see Israel in combat, I’d rather see Israel do what has to be done, as it should be done, rather than depend on a world that will do nothing to help Israel, including a President who couldn’t even stand for his OWN Ambassador in Libya.
In my last editorial, I promised to publish a fantastic letter I read from a Canadian WWII VET who lives in Toronto. His letter dealt with the political correctness that has gone so far to the LEFT by a Regional Police Inspector (Ricky Veerappan) in a community that borders Toronto on the North East Side, that it touches on hatred for Israel.
AND I DO NOT USE THE TERM HATRED FOR ISRAEL LIGHTLY.

As soon as the grand jury in St Louis County did not indict officer Darren Wilson, “The Media” all beat it out of town. I live in a small town. My chiropractor is Jewish, a great guy and very successful. God gifted Jews as His chosen people. Consider the number of Nobel prizes awarded since it has been given, 128 approx. This is amazing in 102 years. The black good citizens are embarrassed by the actions of the majority of their race. I hope THEY protest soon.
