Everyone has an opinion. My opinion – US population is rotten to the bone. they vote for who promises the most. We came to the USA in September of 1976. Just a year after the Vietnam war, unemployment around 8%, homeless beggars on the street. Yet, I started to work as an electrician’s helper on the 23rd day after landing in JFK. the difference – I wanted to work. My PhD in mechanical engineering didn’t matter. And for over 49 years I say G-d bless America. We never waited for any handouts!

You’re right, it takes a long time for a big vehicle, plane, or ship to perform a 180. The fact that income increased last month by .5% over inflation isn’t going to mean too much to most people.
