For What To Be Thankful

I’M THANKFUL TO BE ALIVE & ABLE TO BE WRITING THIS EDITORIAL:

There Is So Much I’m Thankful For, That I Would Need To Write A Book To List My Blessings.

In-Spite Of Various Health Issues, With Which I’m Dealing. In-Spite of Worrying About Finances and the Cost of Living, With Which I’m Also Dealing . . . And In-Spite of Getting Older, with which I Have No Control, Other than How I Choose to Age, Which Is Not “To Go Gentle Into That Good Night”.

I Am Blessed To Have Been Born. Blessed to be Married to Anne, who is Far More than Just my Wife of More than 52-Years, But Rather My Best Friend & Soul Mate, who Has Weathered all Manner of Storms, Mostly of my Making, Who Has Always Been By My Side.

I Am Blessed To Have Had The Parents I Was Born-To, Who Raised Me Right. I am Blessed for Having My Family & Friends . . . And I Am Blessed for the Companionship of our Wonderful Animals Over the Years, Including The Falconator & The Mac-Attack . . . Two Stunning German Shepherd Dogs Filled With Love & Joy.

Whenever I Might Be Feeling A Bit Down . . . I Just Remind Myself Of What You Just Read.

WE ARE ALL BLESSED TO BE LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA:

We Have to Give Thanks for Living in our Countries (Canada & The USA) where we Won’t be Arrested by the Government for Saying What we Think (At Least Thus-Far In Canada), and for Doing all We Can Within the Equal Boundaries of the Law to Become Part of the Government.

Of The People, By The People, For The People.

We are Blessed with Ample Food, Housing where Needed, Medical Care, Education, Freedoms of Expression (Speech), Association, Travel, Assembly & Religion.

We all Have to Give Thanks for Our Safety Provided by Our Police, Fire, Paramedics & Military. And we Must Feel Grateful for the Right to Try, Succeed, Fail & Try Again – As Many Times As It Takes.

WE TAKE THESE BLESSINGS FOR GRANTED – WE SHOULDN’T!

Look Around & See What The Rest Of The World Is Like. And Say Thank God We Are Not Them.

We Are Not At Constant War As Are The Israelis, Fighting to Survive in a Swamp of Islamist Terror. We are Not in Ukraine or Russia Under Waves of Aerial Attacks, Watching Our Loved-One’s On Either Side Dying For No Reason.

We Are Not In Western Europe Or Scandinavia, where Islamism is Usurping the Thousand Year History, Culture & Politics of European Nations in Favor of Sharia.

We Are Not Living In Narco-States Like Mexico, Venezuela, Columbia – Etc . . . And We are Not Living Under the Thumb of Tyrants & Communism, as are the People in Countries like Cuba . . . And We Are Not Living In Countries Where It Is Open Hunting-Season On Jews & Christians.

WE HAVE TO GIVE THANKS FOR WHAT WE HAVE. . . BECAUSE LIFE IS EPHEMERAL:

It Is Not Luck That We Live The Lives We Do, And Not The Lives We Might. It Is Determination.

Make No Mistake . . . There are Mighty-Powers at Play, which are Determined to Take Away from Us, that which Took Hundreds of Years & Dozens of Generations to Build, To Be Replaced By Cultures & Politics Anathema To Our Freedoms.

EXISTENTIALISM IS A THREAT TO ALL OF US – NOTHING IS FOREVER:

We Can Only Keep What We Have If We Are Willing To Fight For It.

As We Celebrate Thanksgiving . . . Regardless of Heritage, Religion, Culture, Gender, Age, Language – Etc . . . We are Celebrating What was Yesterday and is Thus-Far Still Today, But Not Necessarily Tomorrow, Unless we Do Whatever it Takes to Man-The-Barricades & Keep the Enemies of our Freedoms from Breaching the Gates & Scaling the Walls . . . Especially Our Enemies From Within.

I Give Thanks For All That I Have, And for as Little as that Might-Be in Comparison to Others, But Massive In My Freedoms, which I Never Take for Granted & Always Feel Blessed to Have.

I Give Thanks For The Ability To Communicate & For People Like You Who Read-What I Write.
