The outcome of Mandani becoming Mayor of New York, is the direct result of letting Islamists into your country. Their infiltration into democratic countries is really starting to show. Look at most of Europe. Antisemitism and Antichristian rallies, supported by leftist governments. The Constitutional Republic that the founders of the US created is better, maybe not the best. They resolved many of the issues that plague Canada and most democratic states. Democracy works fine for a small governmental body; however, take a look at Canada, the UK, Israel, and France to see the difference between how the US operates and the others.
Let’s try throwing another type of governance into the ring. A “benevolent dictator”. I don’t know of any, but that person could quickly clean up a lot of garbage that most forms of government have created. I did a stint as county couselor. That was a lot of work and took too much time from my personal business. It was a rather interesting, educational experience.

Re A. Fraser’s “benevolent dictator”(BD) concept, it will be hard to find someone in their 50s who will have the stamina to work without sleep for 3 consecutive days, only catching a few hours between meeting of high consequence with other world leaders. Trump has put in more hours at work since Jan 20th than Biden did in all 4 years, and need I say these hours have been significantly more productive. Great article. I would say that Trump has a big ego, not narcissist as narcissists have egos not backed up by accomplishments. All great leaders have great egos that come out or stay hidden. That ego is the result of confidence. Some are outwardly reserved Gen. Grant comes to mind. Others are bombastic, Gen. MacArthur comes to mind. All are good at what they do. A wise man once asked the rhetorical question, “What is the definition of CORRUPT?” The answer struck him like a thunder bolt: “Any politician who is not constantly railing against the size and cost of government is by definition CORRUPT.” The broader implication is that one can assume that the whole lot of them are corrupt.
